The best customer service I've had in a long time! Judd and Dave were wonderful! I needed an adapter to go from a sump pump to a garden hose, but my sump pump was an unusual size. They took the time to go thru multiple scenarios to rig this up. In the end, Judd found pieces to work, and then took it further and actually took my pump and the rigged pieces to the back and put them together for me to make sure it all fit properly, Teflon tape included so it wouldn't leak. It was a wonderful experience and I just wanted to put this out there and let Judd and Dave know they are very appreciated! Thank you!

Deidre and Xavier were both very friendly and helpful in helping us find all of the things we needed for the multiple projects we have going on.

There are no words to explain how grateful I am to Billy the manager of Ace in Indianola, Iowa, also to Susan and Randy cashiers. It's as if I stepped back in time to when customer service was very important. All of them in the store are very customer service oriented, but these people stood out the most because they helped me one on one. Also; I've never met such an excellent manager like Billy. I think he even outranks me and when I was a manager I took great pride in customer service. He is not only very intelligent but very good at taking care of his customers and staff. I will be telling all my friends and any time I need anything I won't go anywhere else. I had an excellent experience and all my needs were taken care of.

Nice clean store, staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. The problem I have is their prices are so inflated, literally everything is a good 5 or more dollars than the same exact thing down the street at Walmart. I was excited when this ace store opened here in town because I hated going to the other hardware store around the corner, that store was/is way overpriced as well and staff is very rude and extremely slow. Unfortunately this store is way overpriced the same exact way. I only go here when I'm in a rush and don't mind spending extra money on the same exact items I can get much cheaper walking thru Walmart or ordering off Amazon. I would compare these hardware stores to shopping at a "convenience store."

I was looking for a garage door opener. I called the manufacturer while on Ace Hardware employee helped me locate what I needed; meanwhile the manufacturer could not confirm what I needed.

Ace did great for me.

Bought a Stihl attachment and asked if they price match which they said no and I was okay with that … came back 30 min later to return it because I found it cheaper and they said there’s no returns on stihl products no signs or mention of that anywhere will not be back to this location

The staff here are always helpful and friendly. I almost always go to Ace, first, for any hardware related need.

Sales rep Joe was extremely helpful went out of his way to get me the information that I needed and I will be back to order the barbecue I was looking for

Great customer service. Went in there looking for a tap. They didn’t have it in stock. Was browsing their Stihl equipment. Gentleman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful on their equipment and different things to do to prolong the life of my equipment. I will definitely be purchasing items from them when I am in the area.

Great store to be a shopper, but terrible if you’re an employee. I recently left this store due to drama caused by another coworker that was newer than I was and the owner and manager sided with her when I didn’t start stuff, they don’t care about their employees at all and have no loyalty to those who work hard there. I moved to the norwalk store and was then let go for being sick. Terrible management and handling by owner Another employee I’m in contact with Aalto was just let go because of the same girl starting things with her.

This store can’t get its registers programmed correctly. It’s an ok place but don’t try buying anything with your rewards card; it doesn’t work and the employees don’t know how to fix it. I tried calling the store owners at their store in Des Moines but they never returned my call. Was hoping this local place would work out but I’m sticking with Home Depot.

Clean and organized. Said grand opening but no "specials" other than grill guys out front..... sales would have been great to see

Ace is the place with the not so helpful hardware folks. Asked about plumbing supplies beings I'm an electrician, and was pointed in the direction of the aisle. Then when I returned for the third time that day all I got was a oh your back again. What has happened to good customer service, guess I'm old school.
