About a week ago, a Pillar To Post truck parked on the edge of my property, by a fire hydrant, on a roadside area I had widened for safety and recently placed fresh bedding rock to stabilize the surface at the edge of a steep bank. I saw him pull up, turn off the truck, and get out of the truck and walk to the neighbor’s property, which is ‘for sale.’

Well, even though I found it odd, I didn’t make an issue of it, because often people pull over there for 5-10 minutes and then they leave. Why didn’t they park in the parking spaces of the house they were inspecting?

This individual did not move their truck to the subject property, but instead remained on my property--and too close to the fire hydrant to be legal--for OVER AN HOUR.

Upon departing, the driver drove OVER my personal property, permanently damaging a large independant candidate campaign sign I had spent hours enhancing and then placed a week ago. I heard the cRunCh.

I called the office and told them that I needed to be compensated for the destruction. She offered half of what I requested, which was low to begin with. I reluctantly agreed, due to being very busy. She never mailed the check.

Do not work with someone who not only can NOT keep their word, they start building bad blood with the future neighbors of their customer—the new property owner—from the get-go.

Support small businesses that are honest and keep their word, and who conduct their operations professionally. Look elsewhere.

Pillar to Post did an amazing job inspecting our new home construction. They provided a detailed report on the spot, which was incredibly helpful. They found a few issues we hadn't noticed, like a small opening near the eaves that could have allowed animals into the attic, and a problem with our faucets (among a few other items that could have proven problematic if not discovered). We had an inspection with Oscar, Monday the 16th at 9:00 AM. When I arrived, Oscar had already begun the inspection of the property. My realtor and I met with Oscar early on in the inspection and after our talk, he invited me along for the inspection. I followed Oscar throughout the property, checking for and possible issue thay he may find. He actually involved me in the inspection. I didn't feel intrusive or like I was overstepping, which is not what I expected. He was very thorough in his explanations, to make sure I understood what he was saying.

Upon completion of the inspection, we sat down to discuss the findings. He came back from his truck with a folder outlining the inspection in its entirety. The information in that folder is GOLD. There are documents and pictures to show current issues and potential future issues, as well as the steps you would take to treat or avoid them. In total the inspection lasted about 2 and a half hours and it was well worth the time and money. The preinspection is what got our offer accepted by the seller. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Oscar! You're the man.
