Nails left all around property.

Carport started leaking where they replaced the roof but didn’t finish, so I’m left with more damage than when they started.

What started out as a pleasant business relationship, has turned sour after the problem was brought to the owners attention in February, and the problem still persists in June.

Pickett’s Roofing replaced the gutters and downspouts on my house. I was very satisfied and would highly recommend them. Seth was great to work with.

My experience with Pickett’s Roofing has not been a good one. Pickett’s replaced the roof on my house as I was going through the process of buying the house several years ago. Afterwards, I began noticing nails on the ground and driveway around the house. Additionally, during a time of strong winds, several shingles came loose, resulting in rainwater leaking on and staining a bedroom ceiling. The roof has a 10-year warranty, so I called Pickett’s and a crew came out and fixed the problem areas, and looked over the roof for other potential problems. When I had called, I had inquired about someone doing something about the bedroom ceiling, and the lady I spoke with said something to the effect that they had someone who did work like that. However, no one mentioned it when the roof was repaired, and I ultimately dealt with it myself. I did inform the man in charge that we had been finding nails around the house, and he acknowledged that they had left them, but made no offer to go over the area to try to find any remaining nails. Sadly, this wasn’t the end of the troubles with the roof. On 2-3 occasions since, I’ve noticed loose shingles moving with the wind. When the wind picks up, I’ve come to look up at the roof with a sense of dread. The most recent time I noticed loose shingles started in late November, almost four weeks ago. On November 27, I went to the Pickett’s Roofing website and submitted a form with information about what was happening. The next day, the 28th, I hadn’t heard anything back yet, so I called. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. The following day, the 29th, I hadn’t heard back, so I called again, and was a bit surprised when someone answered. I explained the situation. The woman I spoke with said she would let Clarence know. The day went by, and I heard nothing back. Over the next few days, it was windy at times, but I didn’t see the shingles flapping anymore, so I figured maybe someone had gone by the house and made a repair while I was away, and just didn’t check in with me. About three weeks went by, and on December 15, during some strong winds, I looked up at the roof, and was disappointed to see the loose shingles once again. Apparently, they hadn’t been repaired after all. The next day, I called Pickett’s Roofing back up, but got no answer. I left a voicemail, but have not heard back. At this point, I’ve decided I’m done with Pickett’s Roofing. I can only assume that I am being ignored intentionally, and that the warranty is not being honored. I’ll find someone else, hopefully more dependable, for my future roofing needs.

UPDATE: I decided to try Pickett’s again, rather than pay another roofer. I was able to email someone and the repairs were made. I’ve changed my rating from one to three stars. However, based on the total experience, if I needed a new roof, I would look elsewhere.

Pickett's was very helpful in me getting a new roof. They worked with my insurance company. When all was decided, they installed the roof in a day and a half. They protected all the outside, and cleaned up. You wouldn't have known they were here after clean up. Highly recommend this company. They also stand behind their work and product!

I had to replaced roof after wind and storm damage. I called Pickett's and they came out same day and done a temporary repair until I got this worked out with my Insurance company. Once I gave them the go ahead they came as soon as material came in and replace the entire roof in less than 2 days cleanup and all. Did a professional job, I would highly recommend Pickett's Roofing.

We had to have a new roof installed and we contacted Picketts and they promptly came out to give us an estimate. Shannon spent so much time explaining everything in great detail about the whole process. They had my roof completed in one day. We were so pleased with the whole process that we ended up getting new shutters and gutters as well. Shannon is great. We told him that we felt like we had known him forever. Would definitely recommend Picketts to anyone.

They did a wonderful job. My husband and I were prepared to use someone else but it fell though and they were able to start and complete our new roof very quickly. They were very nice and throughly professional.

I have known the Pickett family for many years. I trust their business to provide a professional job. I had a specific problem with my roof and called to see if Mr. Pickett wanted to tackle the job. He did not hesitate and came out immediately and gave me his professional opinion. He did the job and made the corrections that solved my problem. Then last year it came to the point that I needed a new roof. I called and they responded. To my surprise his crew was able to remove my old shingles in one day and replace all new shingles the next day. It was a professional job and Mr. Pickett and Shannon Boyd did exactly what they had recommended and completed the job. I was very pleased with what they did and the end result. Mr. Pickett cares what the end result is and how it looks and works. He has Shannon Boyd working with him and they handled my large job very professionally and I am pleased. I was very pleased with the time Shannon took initially to talk with us about what their recommendations were and what products were available. I highly recommend the business for the piece of mind that comes with their excellent work.

The company has done a good bit of work on our residence, including complete re-siding of the main home and detached garage, gutter, window and soffit replacement. We found Clarence Pickett to be a good partner in our renovation projects. The siding crew did an exceptional job for us. They were experienced, prompt and efficient in their work. Would not hesitate to call upon this company for future projects.

Picketts roofing is a very well known local roofing company known for providing the highest quality work you can find anywhere. They are honest, responsive and really take care of the customer. They represented me with regards to my insurance company and made this very overwhelming process as simple as anything I’ve ever done. So some rate people on price others service, for me it was value, they made my life simple, and I know they will be there if in the unlikely event there was a problem. On top of that they are just a pleasure to work with and all the insurance companies know them, so the insurance companies know that Picketts roofing is going to be honest and go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Great Job!!!

Mr. Pickett was polite, informative, and presented several options for what we could have done. He worked with us to make sure all of our requirements were well met, and any additional issues discovered after the work began were well documented.

We would certainly work with him again, but this new roof is going to last a while!
