I recently had a leak under my MB sink. Luckily my insurance company sent me to Paul Davis Restoration. Even more fortunate, my lead water abatement tech was Kenny. He was wonderful. He came quickly, assessed the situation, and got to work. He was efficient, organized and always on time. He was also very patient in answering my many questions. I cannot recommend this company and Kenny highly enough. If you use this company, and Kenny, you will be thrilled.

Absolutely fantastic water remediation service was provided to me by Billy, Kenny, and Peter. Their expertise was really apparent as they did an emergency response to our home to help us with a water leak. They coordinated with insurance and were a wealth of knowledge on next steps and local points of contact in the community. I wouldn’t go with any other company after having worked with them.

We experienced a water leak on our first floor, damaging hard wood floors and the ceiling in the garage. Working through our insurance company, Paul Davis was selected to do the restoration work. Rhonda Harris and Billy Holtmann were a great team to work with. They were available and responsive to answer calls and emails; they provided clear timelines and expectations for the work. The team did great work with good quality and attention to detail. Upon completion of the job, we conducted a walk through to ensure all areas were addressed and the job was completed to our satisfaction.

This has to be the best experience I have had with any restoration incident. PaulDavis and all of their employees had been amazing and very professional with everything they do. They were a reach away at the tip of my fingers throughout my stressful flooding of my condo and throughout the restoration and beyond. Paul Davis was a lifesaver when our home had a majorly destructive flood. Hernon and his team were phenomenal! Great communication, courtesy, timeliness, care for our home and belongings; Hernon specifically was very responsive, oversaw every detail with his crew, and made sure we understood what every step was going to be. His crew was always very respectful and did a thorough job getting our home dried out and demo’d so we could safely return to our house asap and begin rebuilding. I hope I never need them again, but if I do, I’ll Paul Davis will be my first call!

Zachery was on site right away, took charge, had equipment brought in & running immediately. Took pictures to submit, brought in moisture meters, gave estimate, removed drywall & baseboards as needed, disposed of all damaged carpeting, materials right away. Crews were efficient, cleaned site completely. Very happy with experience with Paul David Restoration.

This is our second experience with Paul Davis and they do outstanding remediation work. When finished, the work we’ve had done is as good or better than the original. Building codes are observed or exceeded in some cases. Vidal Geter, our project manager, was dedicated to a high quality restoration. My only recommendation is to improve communication with clients. If you have to reschedule or delay an appointment - it’s really important to let the homeowner know. We had to take the initiative several times during the project.

Rhonda Harris was my rebuild manager. She was outstanding in explaining details on how the restoration would proceed. She answered all my questions and communicated regularly. I live in condo and water from condo came directly into my condo. Insurance co. of above condo denied coverage as did mine so after 2weeks I paid myself for the company my insurance would have hired because waiting would have brought serious prob. After they did the mitigation I could see they were excellent so I stood firm with the insurance company that finally accepted responsibility even though their prices were higher. I got $ I’d pd for mitigation back and am so glad I held out for Paul Davis & project mgr Rhonda.

Not only does Paul Davis Restoration of the National Capital Region perform quality professional work with excellent communication they back their work. After a two-year complete kitchen replacement Paul Davis came out to inspect and repair a minor electrical wiring issue. The quality of repair was timely, and contractors did outstanding work.

We had a surprise leak on the third floor and were panicking about potential damage. Thankfully, Paul Davis came to the rescue! Their team was super responsive and arrived quickly. The technicians were total pros - explained everything clearly, and got to work right away. They tackled the leak efficiently and even helped us navigate the rebuilding process. Couldn't recommend them more!

Large tree fell on our house 7/29/23. Paul Davis Restoration is one of our insurance’s vendors. Almost a year now and we still have no roof, damaged trusses and so on. Our house is in disarray. We’re constantly worried with every rain and storm. We’re so frustrated and deeply defeated with this entire process. We’re not sure what to do to get our house back. Too many delays and excuses. Once the painting crew from CC Remodeling LLC arrived, they were also very efficient and professional, showing up on time to accomplish the large painting task, providing updates, and cleaning up at the end of every work day. Project Managers Roger Watkins and Scott Sabo, and Cosmin Cornea (owner of CC Remodeling/painters) were all highly professional, responsive to my questions, and provided updates as the job progressed. Paul Davis was hired by my condo association to repair my condo after my neighbor had a leak that impacted my unit. The entire situation was a nightmare but Paul Davis did a good job of getting my unit back to where it was prior to the water damage. The project manager, Rhonda Harris was very good about communicating with me and answered all of my questions because I had a lot! All of the service providers were pretty friendly over all. And the repairs were completed a lot quicker than I expected.

You know PaulDavis was so quick to respond to our water leak. They were there when our plumber was there fixing the leak so in my book that is a great response time. Herman and his team were so good I could have not asked for more. Hernan explained the whole process to me and man they cleaned up better than it was when they arrived. We initially called up Paul Davis when a DIY project became too complex. They were able to see us within a day and get us on track. During our project, a severe leak was uncovered, resulting in a total remodel and restoration of our floors. Kyle was phenomenal in making a plan and getting the team out ASAP to mitigate damage. Rhonda Harris worked as our project manager. She sent daily photo updates, worked with our building management and contractors, and even went as far as making a late night house call when electric went out. We truly could not be more thankful for the entire team and we are so happy to be safely back in out home.

Rhonda and Hernan have been very responsive and have done a great job of communicating with me during the situation.

Dealing with making major repairs (replacing my roof and repairing interior damage caused by the leak) while out of state can seem daunting in itself, but I
must say my team, Tommy, Josh and Hope made this was far less burdensome than I ever expected. They were knowledgeable, informative, professional, punctual and proactive at every juncture. I highly recommend Paul Davis Construction.

Paul Davis did both the mold removal and rebuild for Liberty Mutual after we had a broken pipe at our house.

Hernan Rodriguez and his crew did an excellent job on the mold renewal and remediation. They were able to remove all of the mold (and there was a lot). They cleaned up very thoroughly before leaving.

Roger Watkins was the project manager for the rebuild. He and his staff and his several subcontractors did an excellent job. CC Remodeling replaced the subfloor in our bedroom and did the drywall work in the bedroom and basement, as well as painting. They did an excellent job.

Flooring Experts and their subcontractors did the tile floors in the bathroom and entryway as well as hardwood flooring in the bedroom and part of the living room. They did an excellent job.

Overall, we were very satisfied with Paul Davis.

Once Rhonda and Kyle got on board, things went so smoothly. Kyle was extremely professional with all my questions. Rhonda communicated the dates and timelines. She also explained the process of what's going on and why we could or could not do certain things. Once the team was on site to paint, Noel and his partner did a wonderful job patching the space up, reinstalling the wiremolds, and painting the rooms beautifully. I would love to work again with these folks.

Paul Davis did an amazing job on some repairs due to limb damage. Tommy was great at coordinating the work and was extremely fast in getting the crews out to handle the repairs. He was a great communicator and made sure we knew exactly what was going to happen and when. I hope to not need restoration services again, but if I do, I'll be sure to call Paul Davis back to handle them!

Overpriced Company that used Sub-Contractors of Sub-Contractors, who tried to fraudulently charge me for non-existent work.

This is my experience with Paul Davis.

The cost estimation process was very professional, they a gay came to my home and took very clear pictures of the damage which was very fortunate for the insurance company. (This alone would have earned them 2/5 stars, but they/ their sub-contractor tried to cheat me)

Everything afterword's...

When the project manager first came to the house I told him that I was expecting guests in a little over a week and that the work needed to be done by then. He said "Yeah, we should be able to do that"

Work starts on a Thursday, I have a ceiling painted and the painter leaves a nasty bubble in the ceiling. When I point it out he says:

"Oh itll dry out" (It didn't),
"Ill be be back tomorrow" (He didn't), matter of fact NOBODY SHOWED UP. I made it clear we were on a tight schedule and absolutely no work is done Friday, day wasted.

The Project Manager became very difficult to reach, turns out he disappeared because suddenly I have a new project manager half way through the project .

Ill summarize up the final week:

- It was not explained to me the Luxury Vinyl Tile does not come with cushioning underneath, no they glued tile directly on uneven basement foundation, leaving an uneven floor. (I payed additional out of pocket of this!!!)

- They didnt tell me that it didnt come with a transition piece so one was picked for me!

- I had tile placed unevenly, which affected transition pieces, again it wasnt until the tile was already purchased that im made aware there is no transition piece and one is provided. (Damaged), now I have a damaged transition piece in my newly renovated kitchen

- The toilet was replaced but wasnt removed and left in my living room

- The shoe molding around my kitchen island was horrendous! HORRENDOUS! and had to be redone.

- They put back original shoe molding damadged

- My fridge and oven was not assembled and put back together - both were in my living room when guests arrived!!!

- Spots were calking was missed

- At the end the sent two barely old enough to drink kids to fix mistakes from previous workers and they left wood chipped pieces all over my front driveway that I had to clean up

THE KICKER - I was ready to just call this a learning experience and walk away. But then, the sub-contractor reached out to me directly saying I still owed $1,600? My insurance company inquires into the extra amount and there is no response for about 4 work days. This tells me they have no reason. (Because who doesnt want to get paid in this economy)

Turns out they blatantly and fraudulently asked me for $1600 for some work THAT WAS NEVER REQUESTED OR EVEN DONE. Either Paul Davis or the Sub-Contractor figured they could squeeze more money out of my insurance because APPARENTLY THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE FOR VIRGINIA CONTRACTORS!

DISGUSTING

I cannot recommend Paul Davis' services and cannot remain quit after such unethical behavior from a company that promises PROFESSIONALISM, something i did not experience outside the project managers themselves.

TLDR: DO NOT HIRE PAUL DAVIS unless you are ready to pay extra from sub-par performance and are willing to sit, hover, and watch the contractors with before and after pictures. My experience was frustrating, stressful, terrible and they tried to cheat me.

I was very impressed with the mitigation services provided by Paul Davis. The communication was incredible; whenever I had a question or concern, someone from the team responded right away. They were through and careful with the packing of my belongings and moving them back into my home. The moving staff in particular were very friendly and professional.

Will use no other service but Paul Davis for restoration and repair- this is our third time and they are detailed and consistent each time.

Hernan Rodriguez helped me through my plumbing disaster by being professional, communicative, and just a good person. He explained everything from the mitigation process to the estimate details, and even spoke with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything would be in track. Above and beyond and deeply appreciated.

The Paul Davis crew did a fantastic job of mitigation after my condo unit suffered flood damage from an incident involving a fire sprinkler being accidentally set off in a unit 2 floors above mine. The repair crew later took care of the damage so well you'd never guess anything had happened. They also contracted an outstanding carpet company (Carpet City) to replace my wall to wall carpeting WITHOUT my having to evacuate the unit or remove furniture. I can't say enough good things about either Paul Davis or Carpet City.
