A special mention goes to Aurora, the insurance specialist, whose exceptional work made navigating the insurance process a breeze. She was always available to answer my questions and provided clear, concise information. The roofing team was efficient, punctual, and maintained a safe worksite. My new roof looks fantastic, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Palmer!

The actual work was done on a timely basis & done well. It was afterwards things deteriorated. I work construction administration for 20+ years and have never encountered a more unorganized company. It's now 18 months post job completion & I'm just now getting notice that they've closed the job. Its nearly impossible to contact anyone after the work was completed. Calls are sent to voice mail & emails are forwarded to someone else. The favorite excuse is ".... is no longer with the company".

I contracted Palmer to do repair work on my home in 2022. We came to an agreement for them to repair my home. They required that I submit a deposit and they would complete the project. I gave them a deposit of $43,841.84. After constant prodding to have the work started they finally sent out a team to perform the first phase of the work. When I tried to contact them to finish the work, they refuse to return my calls and have not made any effort to finish the work, leaving about $27,644.99 of work left to be finished. I have made many attempts to resolve this and they refuse to even extend the courtesy of a return call or even a letter. I feel that they are avoiding me and that their intentions are to keep the funds without finishing the work.

We got 5 bids. Palmers bid was very professionally done and was fairly priced amongst the group and given to us at the time of inspection.
No games or high pressure.
We chose to go with them because the guy was honest, on time and thorough. The crew was very efficient and cleaned up like they were never there!

I had called for some wind damage to my shingles and although they have a nice sales pitch the work and employees were more than lack luster. The young kid who was there seemed to be drunk or on some kind of substance, will not be used g them again and I'd advise you do the same. I'm currently looking for someone who can do shingle work and at least lay them straight

In 2022, our house (Newman Lake) suffered from hail damage, along with many of my neighbors. We decided to work with the company that our next door neighbors were working, Palmer Construction. And it worked out well, at first.
We were provided with a list of things that could be fixed (screens, sighting etc.) but the only work we wanted done was the roof, meaning removing the old layers and replacing it with new roofing materials. We went through our insurance and they covered ALL of the costs. The work was completed in Feb 2023 and that was the last we had heard from Palmer.
Then, all of a sudden, a year later, we owed them approximately $2,000 and by the way, and I quote, “please note this is not the final bill. This is the current approved amount from the insurance. Supplementing is still in process and as more approvals are secured we will bill out accordingly.” And now, this week, last week in July 2024, we received another bill for over $3,000.
I have requested an itemized bill. I want to know why I still owe them money when I know that the entire cost that they SPECIFICALLY quoted us was covered ENTIRE and COMPLETELY by our insurance. I need to know each and every item that was used I ordered to complete my roof and that they are not charging me for work not done, but they are incapable of putting this together for me. I contacted my mortgage company and well as my insurance and my back and can confirm that they were paid for the work done. My insurance also stated that they received calls and emails from Palmer stating they need further money and when asked for the permit number, Palmer could not provide it.
Let me be clear, the workers did a great job. My roof looks beautiful and receive compliments on it quite often.
So, in summation, do not use this company. They will do the work, they will get paid, but will find ways to continue to gouge you for more money.

All of our contacts with Palmer Construction and Rocky Mountain Roofing were courteous and professional. My wife and I like the way they do business. From the initial inspection to the final inspection, Palmer Construction kept us in the loop throughout the entire project. The Rocky Mountain Roofing crew worked tirelessly and left a very clean work site.

EDIT For response from Palmer: My insurance company was very responsive, and there was multiple times that they sent requests to you with no response. Still going on today, they sent a request to you weeks ago with no follow up. This is not an excuse for your company. "Minor communication issues" is a serious understatement of your lack of responsibility to follow up and take my claim and this job seriously. You failed me as a customer and took years to fullfill this work and get my house back in order, and you continue to create excuses.

I understand supplements happen, but you continue to ask for the same things over and over again with no evidence. This has been prolonged enough, get someone on my claim and get it sorted so we can part ways. Please.

ORIGINAL: It has been two years of dealing with this company for one claim, TWO YEARS! I was impacted by the hail storm in August of 2022 and had Palmer out the next day to take a look, their owners Jennifer and Gil (I think) were there and seemed professional and at first the communication was great and the roof went on a couple months later.... Then I didn't hear from them for MONTHS, I called and emailed trying to get someone's attention. I talked to my insurance to see if there was any communication on their side.... there wasn't. I finally had to go into their physical location to get someone to talk to me. Finally getting a hold of someone and keeping on top of it, my siding went on at the end of 2023, and was mostly completed until they had to wait for back ordered shutter fasteners, it took another few months for them to get out and put those up along with a couple screens (they scheduled this 3 times with me and nobody showed up).... Here I am almost 2 years later still dealing with this claim that should have been dealt with long ago. They have sent me invoices that have incorrect amounts and asking for line items that never happened from my insurance (like putting up scaffolding, when they just used ladders). Their communication is terrible, their billing can really use some work (better attention to detail) and their communication with insurance is abysmal. I am thoroughly looking forward to the day that the final supplement comes through that they are happy with, and send me the final invoice (AND IS CORRECT) and I can pay it and be done. Until that day, they will continue holding me hostage with their incompetence. If you ever end up reading this, and you are thinking about having Palmer take a contract on your claim, don't do it..

Please please ask for Marilyn for any of your roofing questions or needs! She was so knowledgeable and helpful!!! Will be going back once my roof needs replaced!

After experiencing issues with my roof since the winter of '23, I was referred to Palmer Construction. Upon contacting them, I received a prompt response, and within the hour, Gilbert was on the line addressing my concerns.

Gilbert's timeliness and efficiency were remarkable. He arrived promptly, assessed the situation, and wasted no time in getting the job done. What stood out most was his excellent communication skills and understanding of the problem at hand. His work ethic was exemplary, demonstrating a dedication to his craft and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.

The roofers that were hired by Palmer construction were fast and reliable and did a great job. However, the company itself said they would come out and finish but wouldn’t call and wouldn’t show. This happened over numerous months and many occasions. We will never work with them again nor could we recommend them. Seven months later our project is still incomplete.
Update: thank you for completing the project at long last. Again, the job itself was well done but the timing is a slow work in progress.

Skylar came out to give us a bid and was awesome! Great customer service, answered all my questions and was very professional. Highly recommended to anyone with questions about their roof.

Operates in bad faith practices. Scam company likes to pick what they pay for. Wouldn't trust these guys to build a 2x2 wood box.

I am from Newman Lake. Victim of the 2022 hail storm we had. My roof got done Feb 2023 was quick and easy. 2/3 gutters were done by March. Took till August to put up last gutter up; also to get ball rolling for siding… I was done at this point. Tried to cancel in August but was reassured better performance. This company has poor internal communication. Poor insurance communication. Poor costumer communication. My project has been on the books for over a yr and a half! As of now Jan 2024 I have emailed everyday last week for cancel project and have not had no response.

I would never recommend this company due to lack ability to follow through with anything. They will take your money and will not get what was agreed on done. Go elsewhere.

Palmer Construction is by far the worst contractor that I've used for a job. The sales pitch is convincing, but they will over promise and under deliver and your problems will start after you sign a contract. Poor quality of work, no attention to detail, and scammy business practices are overshadowed by the total lack of communication. Virtually no notice would be given for when materials would be delivered or work would begin. I would go months without Palmer returning by calls or responding to emails. Employees at Palmer should be embarrassed and the owners ashamed with how they treat their customs and members of their community. Do yourself a favor and take your business to literally anyone else.

Palmer's subcontractor installed my new garage door in record time, with a one man crew. Simply amazing to watch.
Even helped take down a large shelf that got in the way of the new door installation. Palmer followed up with an inspection to ensure that I was happy with the install and that every thing worked correctly.
