I would like to start this with how unbelievably easy it was to do business with Richard. He took the time to listen to my needs and offered many Suggestions. I have owed many houses and I have used many contractors in my time. He was by far the easiest to work with. He made a schedule with me kept his schedule. His crew was very professional. You can’t even tell anyone was at my house. and they just finished yesterday. I will definitely be using them again, but I would suggest you give them a try because I was so pleased.

Palm and pineapple installed a metal roof for us in July of this year. The experience was flawless from start to finish and they really went above and beyond. They made sure after removing the old roof that we would be dried in before it rained, and went over the yard to remove all debris and roofing nails.

However! I was recently reviewing our power usage comparing the months of 2023 and 2024.
In August and September our usage dropped over 1000 kWh, saving us roughly $100 each month. As it’s cooled off in October and November the discrepancy has been lower. We saved $55 in October and $36 in November, which I can only attribute to the greater reflectivity of the roof.

They did an amazing job with both our jobs. First they completed a roof repair on time and repair looks great. They also built two handrails for my front porch. The workmanship looks great!

These folks are honest, professional and hardworking craftsmen! I contacted them to replace my siding after another roofing company said my siding was failing and needed replacing.
Ricky gave me several options for new siding but also recommended that repairing the rotten panels, caulking and painting would make my house as good as new. Richard and Catherine are an amazing couple who run an outstanding business serving our community. They replaced our rather large roof on our home with a lot of peaks and valleys and did a wonderful job. At the same time, they replaced the roofs on our detached three car garage and garden shed. Their crew was on site for five days from 7:30am until 7:30pm and were skilled and competent in their work. We did have a few issues with material removal and the amount of tender landscaping around the house on the first day, but nothing was permanently damaged and Richard was quick to make changes in the plant coverings on day 2 and all was smooth from there on out. We also had our driveway apron damaged by the shingle delivery truck to which Richard and Catherine immediately communicated to us that it would be taken care of by the shingle supplier. I was contacted by both the general managers and the insurance adjuster on the same day the Richard informed them of the issue. It took me much longer to get a quote for the repair and then to get it in writing so I could submit the claim. As soon as I sent the claim in, it was approved and I'm on my way to getting the apron replaced. I will definitely call Palm and Pineapple Roofing and Exteriors for any of our future exterior home improvement needs and I can highly recommend them.

Ricky is amazing. I don't think I've ever met a nicer, more professional tradesperson in Charleston ever. He went above and beyond for us installing a new slider door. The manufacturer messed up several times and Ricky worked close with them to get it done. When the manufacturer finally 'finished', it still wasn't done right so Ricky had to rebuild the whole thing. The guy is a legend. Now I'm trying to find other work I can hire him for and you should to!

Palm and Pineapple Home Services are everything you would want in a roofer. They are prompt, courteous, friendly, and do excellent work. Richard, the owner, came out and made a couple of minor repairs to the ridge vents. As requested, he inspected the roof for additional wind and hail damage and I had a quote for replacement that evening. He assisted me in the insurance and HOA processes and once they had been completed, he was at my home with his crew within a couple of weeks time to replace my roof. He was on site to kick the project off and came by regularly to check on progress and make sure I was satisfied with how things were going. At the end of the project, he and his crew chief walked around the home with me to ensure everything had been completed to my satisfaction. This was the first time in 35 years of home ownership that I have been through this process and he made it as easy and as non-disruptive to me as possible. I had siding blow off my house during the last windstorm. I called Palm & Pineapple Home Services and was able to get an appointment very quickly. Ricky was very professional and on time for the appointment. He was knowledgeable about the siding and explained to me the procedure for repair. Richard came out the following day to inspect my leak. He arrived 15 minutes early and did a very thorough assessment. Ended up just being a nail but he also took the time to inspect the rest of the roof for any other possible issues. He even fixed a loose shingle as well. I managed to back a travel trailer into the gutter over our daughter and son-in-law's garage. I'm visiting from Indiana and am unfamiliar with gutter resources. I initiated an inquiry on Angi and set up appointments with (2) gutter businesses with plans to provide quotes at 8:00am and 9:00am on December the 26th. The 8:00am resource never arrived, and the 9:00am resource was 15 minutes late, then quoted $1,000 to replace a straight 24' section of gutter. I declined the offer. Subsequently, I called 13 gutter resources and left messages until I called Palm & Pineapple Home Services where I actually got to talk to people. They looked at a street view of the house and quickly quoted $325 to replace the gutter. I requested written quote, proof of insurance and bond as well a copy of their license. Catherine and Ricky quickly e-mailed me the requested documents.. The replacement team arrived per plans and replaced the gutter in less than an hour. They were a pleasure to work with, did good work, and provided a nice replacement result.
