Painter Roofing is top-notch. We had some water damage on a plastered ceiling in a bathroom. We called for an estimate and an appraiser was sent lightning fast. The quoted price was incredibly reasonable and the job was scheduled very quickly. Upon execution of the job, the workers were diligent and respectful. We have a newborn in the home and the workers made sure to partition off the workspace and when they were done it was left it cleaner than when they arrived. We will definitely be using Painter Roofing again for any needs that arise in the future.

I hate doing this, but I have to leave an honest review. This is the least reliable organization I have ever worked with when it comes to scheduling and communication. We hired Painter Roofing and Construction about 6 months ago to do some fixes to our roof. During that process we had to work with them multiple times to make the full repair because the workers would arrive and say only part of the fix was on their work order and would not complete the rest of the job. After a lot of back and forth, PRC finished everything and if that was the end of the story I wouldn't be leaving this review. Fast forward 6 months, and we have another water leak - one in the same area they worked on that is under warranty and another in another area. They came out the evaluate the job and said they would come back after talking to the office about scheduling. In the last couple of weeks I have called them multiple times, sent in an inquiry through the website, and done everything to attempt to get an update on when they would be coming out with zero answer. Every time I call someone at the office says they have taken notes, but will have the office manager call back shortly... Still no responses to email, calls, or other messages. We're now looking for a new contractor and will never recommend PRC to anyone because of this experience.

We had a leak and paid to have it fixed. Unfortunately it still leaked after they fixed it. When I called to have them come back they responded right away and sent the same person to fix it as he knew the job already. It was a little tricky where the leak was so understandable they missed it the first time. They fixed it right away and didn’t charge us. I was very pleased with their service and for making it right. Definitely recommend!

Frank (the owner) met with us personally to inspect a situation with our door - he was recommended by our current handyman team as someone who can diagnose more complex issues and handle those repairs.

He advised us that our current solution should be working, and spent extra time with us offering free advice regarding testing and maintenance. He didn't try to upsell us. This was all no charge.

I have every confidence that 1) he knows what he is talking about; 2) he is someone I can trust; and 3) he can handle those bigger jobs.

The two repairmen came out on Wednesday, a full day before I expected them. They set to work immediately and repaired the loose piece of siding over my garage. Before I could even go outside to greet them the repair was complete. I am very happy with the results and would call Painter again if I needed any other work done.

We have used Painter Roofing for two small fixes for our house, repair of a leak where our sunroom roof abuts our house, and the installation of two vents for bathroom exhaust fans. Frank and his team gave me a fair price, did what they said they would do when they would do it. I will use them again when the need arises!

No one likes to spend money on a new roof, but the fellas who came were efficient, courteous and professional. Our roof is difficult because of all the angles but they did a great job and were responsive to our needs.

Truthfully, I had to follow up a couple of times for scheduling someone to come out and give a quote and then to schedule the actual work to get done; HOWEVER, Painter Roofing was worth chasing around. Frank is super easy breezy to work with. We didn't feel like we were getting sweet talked into unnecessary work. After our roof sustained severe storm damage, we called around to 4-5 companies to solicit quotes for both roof repairs as well as wholesale roof installations (in case we decided we wanted to replace our whole roof, which was approaching its useful life). Painter was one of the few companies that did both - most only do wholesale roof installations - and provided on a timely basis reasonable estimates for both, which allowed us to work with our insurance company and make a decision quickly. While Painter wasn’t the cheapest quote we received, it was also not the most expensive and was, in our mind, comparable to other high-quality roofers and the most value.

The Painter team was communicative throughout the process - being very clear about costs, when work crews would show up, etc. And even after we had to slightly modify the work part way through - we also asked Painter to do drywall/ceiling repair as the roof damage led to water damage in the home - they were able to deliver both a timely estimate and rapid scheduling. Throughout the process, the indoor and outdoor work crews were quick, professional, careful about protecting the existing infrastructure of the home (e.g., gutters, wood floors, etc.), and meticulous when it came to clean-up.

Further, after the work was completed, the roofing crew came back out to survey the work to ensure that everything was done to our satisfaction. We would absolutely use them again for future projects.

Had to repair my roof and replace damaged gutters from a fallen tree due to all the storms we had a few of months back. Had five estimates, nothing equated to the responsiveness, care, and professionalism Frank showed us. His estimate was very reasonable in comparison. Even though his company was back logged like many other companies with the surge of roof repair jobs due to the storms, he showed up within a couple of days to give us an estimate scheduled by his extremely friendly and professional staffer Erin. We had to wait at least three weeks to get other estimates. Frank indicated like all the other companies we consulted that they will not be able to start the work for 3-4 weeks or longer.
His crew showed up within a week and completed the job in one day.
A job well done, all debris removed, and completed in a timely manner.

Many homeowners will recognize our predicament at being stuck between the rock and the hard place in trying to get home repairs done at a reasonable cost in a reasonable time. Our own experience over the years has included the good, the bad, and sometimes a blend of both. Sometimes, the biggest hurdle is just finding someone who will even consider taking on a home repair. Thus we were grateful when Painter Roofing and Construction responded to our contact and sent a representative to inspect the three repair projects we hoped they might help us with.

However, their representative soon made it apparent that they were at best interested in only one – the repair of some damaged fascia boards, and possibly roof beams and roofing above them. The pre-estimate inspection could be called cursory as the estimator never left the ground to go up a ladder and inspect the damaged area more closely. When we received the estimate, we found it at the upper end of what we hoped would be the cost of the repair and there were no proposed costs for labor or for materials – simply the flat fee for the job. Subsequent telephone and email exchanges elaborated that the proposed cost represented a worst case and that this would be modified downward as the actual costs of the repair were determined. Somewhat reassured and with no real other option, we agreed.

The work crew was great, working quickly and effectively to identify and remove the damaged portions of fascia board and determine what else needed replacement or repair. A few quick trips to obtain materials and the work was completely finished all in the one day. The crew also cleaned up after themselves.

To our surprise and dismay, the first ‘final’ bill we received was for the same, full amount as the original proposal without any of the promised reductions to reflect actual costs. When we asked about this we were told that this was an administrative error and we could expect a corrected bill in following days. After several days, we did receive a new final bill for a reduced amount. As stated by Painter Roofing at the beginning, this included only the final total amount to be paid with no breakdown as to labor or material costs. Essentially, all of this was black-boxed by the company and we were not to have any such information. We duly paid the bill. As noted above, the work was done to our satisfaction and we got our repair completed. But I keep hearing a whisper from my Scottish ancestors ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.’ Desperate situations sometimes call for desperate measures. Next time, we will be calling elsewhere. Your mileage may vary – or you too may be desperate enough to settle for this.

Our roof and gutters had several issues. The Painter staff resolved all of them, we believe. We didn't climb all over the roof like they did to check. We could see that four or five feet of trim along the edge of the roof had broken off and blown away. It was replaced and it is impossible to tell where the damage was (see attached picture).

They completed the work in less time than estimated and we were very happy with the result.

Frank and his team did a great job for our project. We had some leaky windows which required some professional caulking. Many of the windows are over 15 feet up from ground and they got them all well sealed. Will be using their services next time I need something. Highly recommended!

Painter Roofing installed a beautiful roof for us in 2018. During a recent heavy rainstorm we had a small leak due to some flashing issues around a chimney. I called Painter Roofing the next morning and they were there and all over it by early afternoon. Not only did they find the problem. they fixed it and then showed us photographs of the repair process. This was amazing service! I don’t do many reviews but this is a happy exception. During a recent windstorm which affected many homes in my area, part of my roof was damaged and at risk of falling and causing further damage. In less than an hour after I called, Frank Jr. stopped by to assess the damage. They had crews working over the weekend to help people with emergency repairs, and had a crew at my house on a Sunday afternoon to do an emergency patch. The crew came early the next morning to do the final repair. I was so impressed with their immediate response, particularly since I was a new customer. I strongly recommend Painter Roofing and Construction to anyone who values great customer service.

The floor on my outside balcony is not level and collects water. I was concerned about water leaking into the house and Frank came to provide a cost estimate. Frank inspected the floor and told me there would not be any damage because of the non-porosity of the floor materials (and some other reasons) - thus saving me the cost of doing unnecessary work. I appreciate Frank's honesty and highly recommend him should honesty be a factor in selecting a contractor.

I interviewed/obtained estimates from 7 companies and Frank Painter was the only one that I felt actually knew what he was talking about. The rest only knew the one product they were selling and didn't even have all the answers about it. His ability to inspect comes from his former life as a roofing inspector (I know there is a more official title for it) and he caught some issues with my roof that clearly needed to be addressed. The Graco product he uses, he was knowledgeable about and it was absolutely the right product for my needs, but he was able to answer questions about other products as well. I highly recommend using Frank for all your roofing needs.
