Pacific Insulation & Mold Remediation

I had Pacific Insulation come and blow in cellulose in my attic to get it up to R49 and John and Joe did a great job. They communicated very well, and did a pretty good job cleaning up after, considering how messy the blow in insulation can be. They had the job complete in less than 2 hours, so super efficient. They even gave me a form to fill out for an Avista rebate. Thanks again!

Review of the insulation work for Gus with Pacific Insulation:
First of all John and Joe were very friendly and seem to work great together when insulating the attic. It was nice to work with experienced people about the concerns I had about my the attic with a very long cold air return tunnel as the ductwork. John explained what he was going to do and answered all my questions concerning ventilation and the ductwork. They cleaned up when the job was finished like it was when they got here. John also gave me some before and after pictures. Also John let me know that I did not need as much insulation over the garage and reduce the cost accordingly. Gus also gave me a military discount on top of that. I am looking forward to a warmer house in the winter and a cooler house in the summer. Highly recommend.

Pacific Insulation was recommended to us by a family member and their communication was top-notch. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Their company came up to insulate our roof and did an inspection first, which is how we found out that our roof didn’t have proper venting. They didn’t charge us for the initial visit, even though they were there for well over an hour. If they had simply put the insulation in, we could’ve ended up with a moisture and mold problem, that would’ve ultimately damaged or destroyed our roof. Once we had the proper venting, they came back and completed the job. Thank you to their company for ensuring that we did not have a big problem on our hands in the future. They were timely, efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with!

Had a terrific experience working with Joe and John to get a super difficult job done. We ended up having to pay more than quoted due to the unforseen complexities of working in a terrible crawlspace. Having said that, these guys were communicative, kind, and did incredibly careful work despite all odds being against them. An added bonus: they were tidier than any other contractors we've worked with.

I would trust this crew in my house anytime, and will always remember and appreciate the sacrifice they made to get this job done. It's rare to have such incredible communication and standards of quality, from the owner down the last guy on. I won't be shopping around if I ever need another job done.

Recently we authorized Pacific to add some additional blown in insulation into our attic to bring us up to current codes. Some 10 years ago, upon inspection of our current home, we were told there was about 8-10 inches in our attic. We decided to add an additional 6-8 inches or so to bring us up to code and help with our energy expenses. When the work crew showed up at our home, took a look in our attic and did another measurement they asked why we wanted more insulation. We told them our long ago inspection showed the need for additional. We were then told by the Pacific guys we already had plenty, 14-16 inches, and any additional would most likely show little, if any energy savings. And the return on our money spent would be little or none. I told them I appreciated their honesty and they could expect a 5 Star Review from me. This is it. I highly recommend Pacific!

Got a higher quote from another company with less R rating so I did a price comparison with Pacific. Not only saved money but got a better R rating for my attic space.

This is definitely a honest company. I had an appointment to have insulation added to my attic. They came over and inspected my attic to inform me that I was only 3 inches from the 14 inch requirement. They advised me that they would not recommend adding more insulation. They were so nice to say if I did add more, I would not see much return on my investment and that I would not qualify for the Avista rebate. If you are looking for a honest company, this is company I would recommend.

Great experience! Pacific Insulation added some much needed attic insulation to my house. They were fast and efficient and very nice people. They were very kind to my barking dog too. I appreciate their hard work and look forward to being much more comfortable in my home!

Similar to an earlier reviewer, John came out to blow in attic insulation but then told us that we already had enough insulation to not qualify for the rebate and that additional insulation would not get us much additional R value. We so appreciated his honesty and I'll be recommending Pacific to anyone who needs attic insulation.

After we were told by an energy auditor that we needed insulation in our attic and then 2 other insulation companies recommended we add more insulation in a few different spots (one of them at a hefty price), John came out and pointed at that right around the attic access panel our insulation was thin, but everywhere else we wouldn't get much bang for our buck. I wanted to give a 5 star review for being such an honest company not trying to upsell potential clients with unnecessary improvements, and looking deeper into the issue more than the energy auditor and other companies.

Will definitely go to Pacific Insulation first if we have other insulation issues in the future!

Gus answered all of my questions. The application of attic insulation was completed quickly with professional friendly staff. A staff member assisted with my applying for a rebate from Avista which was a speedy process. I highly recommend Pacific Insulation.

Pacific insulation was great to work with, they did a great job, were respectful of the house, and cleaned up after the work was done. They also provided the forms for the rebate so the work ends up being extremely affordable and worth doing to save energy.

Sigh… this place had such great reviews I really was hopeful. My first phone call to Gus was really great, he seemed very genuine and helpful on the phone. As I began to tell him more about my project, he started to hesitate and said it would be expensive. I said I didn’t care how much it cost, I really just wanted to get things insulated. He said he would call me back, he never did. I called him and left a voicemail never heard back. I called him again, and when he answered, he acted as if he was willing to come out and evaluate my project, he said he would get back to me. Again, he never did. Several text messages went and answered, and I never heard from him. I finally found another company who came out the same day that I called. Hate to leave a bad review, but Gus really was a disappointment due to his lack of communication, poor customer service and unwillingness to even come look at the job.

I had an excellent experience with this business! When you call you speak with the owner and receive an exact quote. We had Really good communication with the crew. They come on time and totally prepared to get the job done and clean up after themselves. These are quality people, easy to have in your home. Highly recommended!

I couldn't be happier with the job Pacific Insulation did insulating our old house. The installation crew (Jimmy and Astin) were right on time, very professional and very friendly. I asked them to check the levels on the current attic insulation and to check for pest sightings and they did that told me what they saw. The process is surprisingly unintrusive. And fast. I previously did the Home Deport rental route and this was SOOOO much easier and quicker. When they were done, they vacuumed and left the house spotless. Gus, the owner, explained the whole process of the installation, the benefits, and how the Avista rebate program works before I signed on and that exactly how it all turned out. The team leaves you with the paperwork pretty much all filled out...leaving the homeowner with pretty much a "sign and send" to Avista. Our rebate arrived promptly. Don't hesitate on insulation....this is an easy decision. And Pacific Insulation is the company to go with. Finally, I am already seeing a big difference in the home furnace not kicking on often. Installed insulation in ceiling of my man room. In One call about 5 minutes, I got an exact estimate and date of install within a week. Good old fashion way to conduct customer service. Highly recommend working with Gus, John and the crew. Up front, Gus was very responsive and returned messages quickly. He took time to answer my questions and make sure I had an accurate quote right away.
When John and the crew arrived, they were clean, professional and efficient. Based on insulation done by the previous owner, they actually recommended not adding more to areas that we already insulated. Instead we only insulated portions not previously done. This vastly reduced our cost. It’s also nice working with a company that is willing to lose money to do what’s right for their customers.
There were a few areas near where the insulated/uninsulated portions met that they filled in for free to make sure we had the protection we needed.
There were no hidden fees and the crew cleaned up after, so no one could even tell they were there. I will definitely be calling Pacific Insulation again anytime I need insulation.
