Over the Top Roofing - Butte, MT

These folks were nice, and they did replace a new metal roof on my house. They took off a gutter tho, and said they would replace it, but they didn't. Less than 4 months after the installation, we learned that the trim pieces were not screwed down AT ALL and blew right off in the wind. I called them to ask about the gutter and tell them that the trim was blowing off only to learn that they were no longer in business. The roof cost over $20,000. I feel like they were dishonest and cheap and I'm sorry that I hired them.

Mike and crew did the front of our roof . They had to match the tiles from a different roofer for the back. They did a great job!!! I recomend them to anyone. They work in the rain and snow, always putting their customers first. Thanks Over the top! keep up the great work.

Purchased a property in Butte based partly on a formal roof inspection performed by Over The Top, requested by me and funded by the seller. (Looking back, they may have been buddies) Inspection report came back all rosy. Within two months of moving in during the thaw season, two substantial leaks were present. I called them and they told me they must have formed in the two months since I had acquired the house. I was then informed that they inspected by drone and didn’t come in the house and inspect the inside to see the leak stains on the ceiling. When I told them I needed the leaks fixed, they told me (1) the house was too big for them to work on and (2) they were booked for the year.

Apparently, roof work is so plentiful in Butte that you can treat customers like this and still remain busy. Sounds like there are opportunities for new roofing contractors in the area. Specialize in treating the customer fairly and take business away.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I felt it was justified in this case. These contractors need to take formal inspections seriously.
