Mountain Roofing

We had a long-overdue new roof installation done on our house and detached garage , located in Butte. We used this as an opportunity to correct a number of issues that existed when we moved in many years ago. Examples include poor venting, poor water drainage around our chimney, and others. Mountain Roofing was very responsive upon initial contact, unlike other contractors we attempted to contact. Communication was excellent. The job was postponed a couple of times due to the typical May weather in Butte (rain/snow), but the job was done in one day with excellent quality. The cost was as quoted and we are quite happy.

Mountain Roofing went out of their way to provide me with an honest, conscientious and overall helpful experience. I feel I can trust them completely and believe that the Butte area is very lucky to have them. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future and highly recommend them to everyone with a roofing issue that needs quality care and expertise.

Thank you Mountain Roofing! For anyone looking for a company to make sure your roofing needs are taken care of, these are the folks you need to contact! I called Alli on a Friday morning to request an inspection on my 20 year old roof as well as a quote on replacement if necessary. She informed me that one of their agents may still be in the Dillon area, told me she would check and call back to let me know. She called back in less than 10 minutes and let me know that their agent could be at my house in a couple of hours if that was convenient for me.

Jake showed up in just under a couple of hours and let me know exactly what would involved in the inspection. Jake spent the better part of an hour completing the detailed inspection which included pictures of all critical areas. After inspection, Jake gave me a summary of everything he looked for, including gutters, ventilation, flashing, ridges as well as the tiles. He let me know that I didn’t need to worry about roof replacement for at least 5 years or longer.

Jake let me know the complimentary inspection was no charge and they’d be glad to inspect again when I deemed necessary. They later sent me a 5 page document detailing my roof, gutters, flashing, etc. complete with pictures for my files.

Our entire process with Mountain Roofing has been fantastic. We've tried to get our roof damage replaced for several years with several other local firms but with no success. This team did such a great job for us on our house and garage roof. It was a battle with the insurance but they were there to assist. This was definitely a better experience than our last roofer. I never heard of whirlybirds until I met with Mountain Roofing. It is very important for the life of your roof to have proper ventilation and some roofers don't take that into account and simply do not care (read the fine print). They did such a great job that I am having them inspect my other new roof to make sure I have proper ventilation. I forgot to mention, they did both roofs in one day! They also followed up on the permit and had the city inspect before they closed the permit. We are vey impressed with Mountain Roofing and will refer them anytime we can.

We were extremely pleased in their professionalism and work ethics. When the job was completed they throughly combed the area for any debris and made sure there was nothing left behind. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Mountain Roofing. From the start, it was clear that their primary focus is on maximizing profits at the expense of their customers and employees. The markups on materials are outrageous—90%! This kind of pricing is not only unfair but also unethical. It’s evident that they prioritize financial gain over providing quality service and products.

Furthermore, their treatment of employees is appalling. They exploit their workers, taking commissions from their salespeople, which is both demoralizing and unjust. This company seems to have no regard for the well-being of their staff, which is reflected in the poor service and lack of professionalism. The majority of their reviews come from an employee who no longer works there, and they also do not have their sale people send review links to dissatisfied customers so that they can stack the reviews in their favor- Do not be fooled.
Overall, Mountain Roofing is a company that cheats its customers and mistreats its employees. They are only out for financial gain and have no interest in building lasting, positive relationships with their clients. I strongly advise against doing business with them. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that values integrity and customer satisfaction and will give you fair pricing.

It’s hard to find folks who have a great and honest work ethic. John came out to do a FREE and same day estimate and we found that my attic had several other issues I’ve been trying get to the bottom of for YEARS. He helped get other contractors to finally show up and made sure they actually listened! A contractor ended up giving me an “easy way out” and John educated me and told that wasn’t the right way. He made sure my family was taken care of. I can’t thank him enough for helping this exhausted Mom finally get answers. John is amazing!!!

I contacted Mountain Roofing to get a quote on a flat roofed area of my home that is used as a deck, after water damage due to material failure. There was nothing straightforward about the job, and John was methodical in his measuring, photo documentation, and his consideration of options for me. Unfortunately, he felt that my solutions might be better found working with a general contractor due to the nature of the connecting structures, the type of materials needed for a deck/roof and my intended use of the area. He was efficient in his response time, professional in his discussions of alternatives, and I left with an impression of a company with integrity and experience driven knowledge. He followed up with referrals, which I'd requested, and I feel confident they'll work out. It's increasingly difficult to find anyone in the building industry that has this level of respect for my time and my building needs.

Our roof isn't straight forward, includes 2 garages, and it's over 4000 sq ft, they removed old roof and put on new roof, cleaned up and were completely done in 1 DAY! Literally from 7am-5pm. BE ADVISED, dan comes in and acts like he's about family, friends Yada Yada. But after he sells you on his son and him coming to do job, a bunch on non speaking English individuals show up and do alot of damage to your home and vehicles. Literally damaged my vehicles, left a mess, im still picking up chunks of old roofing shingles, nails everywhere. Dan took ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT, even though it was his crew. This was my experience of this company and would NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

These folks are great! The roof recently put on was done 'between owners'. My wife and I found a home in Montana to buy. Before we made an offer on the place the seller had already arranged to have the roof replaced. However, the new roof was not going to be installed for a couple of months.

Long story short, we signed the sale agreement with the understanding that the seller not replace the old roof and we would. Meanwhile the roofing company, Mountain Roofing (owner Dan Lord), was exceptionally cooperative in accepting the changes in ownership of the house and our requests. Before we even closed on the property Dan had the roof replacement completed.

The work done was quality. The finished roof looks wonderful and the cleanup after the roof was completed was great.
After about one month of living in our home the 'Thanksgiving winds' shook the Twin Bridges area and, while no damage to the roof was visible, I had a couple of concerns.
Dan happily drove down from Butte, inspected the entire roof and put my concerns to rest (no damage was found).

After experiencing storm damage to our roof we started looking for a roofing company Dan from mountain roofing came out for inspection and quote within 2 days of our initial phone call. He coordinated with insurance inspector to be present for their inspection. Then assisted with needed documentation to ensure our insurance would cover our claim. At the completion of that meeting we had an appointment date for our roof(which was only a week out). The crew arrived right on schedule and quickly completed the job and clean up. When dealing with contractors, I always have my own concerns. Will they do a good job, will they take advantage of the situation and cut corners to make a profit, and will I even be able to advocate for myself when I know very little about the process? Well I was pleasantly surprised that none of my concerns were there when dealing with Mountain Roofing. They were very transparent with information throughout the process. They were available to answer my questions when they did arise. And lastly, they did a great job the day of the install. And yes it only took a day to get the replacement of roof completed. This was my first time doing a major project on my home and it was a joy to work with professionals who I believe didn’t want to take advantage of my situation. Clean up was also pretty thorough too. The only negative I have is that the price was a little bit higher than I expected, however, the work that was provided definitely justifies the slightly higher than average price. From my point of view, I would gladly pay extra for a better quality product.

Had my roof replaced on my house less than 2 years ago. Last heavy rainstorm my roof was leaking. I called Mountain Roofing the next day and they came out to checkout where the roof was leaking. Dan and his helper came out got on the roof and even when up the rafters and took pictures. Come to find out I was missing a shingle on the ridge cap? Needless to say I'll never use the pervious roofer again. Next time I need a new roof or roof repairs I'll be calling Dan at Mountain Roofing.
