Had the pleasure of working with Bill Babcock as an estimator, and I found him to be extremely thorough and easy to work with. Niles came to our house for a routine inspection of the roof. Even though it was 20 years old, he said it didn't need to be replaced, yet. He gave us what I felt was a fair quote, should we want to replace it, to give us an idea of the price. After another company said we might have hail damage, I called Niles back to look. No damage. Great experience! Adam came out and thoroughly inspected my roof, I was concerned about animals getting inside the attic due to the number of trees and wildlife in the area. His knowledge was really impressive because he immediately knew that the shingles used on my roof were discontinued. I was thankful that there was no damage and no immediate repairs were needed. We have used Open Box Roofing for 2 projects. First, was in late February when we were trying to find someone to repair aluminum window trim and Ace Handyman Services suggested we contact Adam Jacobs at Open Box Roofing. Adam was quick to respond, evaluated the situation and suggested fixes. Shortly thereafter his crew came out and did a fantastic job repairing/replacing the aluminum trim on the necessary windows. Communication with the workers was easy and they cleaned up very well. Adam stopped by a few days later for payment and to make sure I was happy with the work. Overall, one of the best experiences I have had dealing with a company.
Consequently, in June when I noticed some birds were getting behind our roof trim, I did not hesitate to contact Adam again and he was quick to respond. At that time, we had also decided to repair the soffit on our porch. Adam climbed and evaluated the trim and bird issue and suggested a simple fix which he performed on the spot while explaining to me the different options for the soffit repair. He listened to me and understood what we were trying to accomplish and did not try to oversell me anything. That crew came out within a few weeks and once again I was pleased with their efficiency, professionalism, and cleanliness. Once again Adam arrived a couple of days later to make sure I was happy with the work and complete payment.

Open Box replaced my vinyl and gutters. Took over a year working w/Progressive Insurance but once we narrowed down what we could do, Open Box ordered my vinyl.

Earlier this year, I had Openbox complete an inspection of my roof for hail damage. After working with the insurance company, they were able to get my home and detached garage covered. I was recommended to upgrade the shingles to a class 4 impact resistant shingle that helped save me some money on my insurance premiums. Very professional and efficient. From the initial inspection through the actual repair, every appointment was on time. The repair took less than one day and everything was cleaned up before the final "walk around" was done. They were also quite helpful dealing with the insurance company.

So happy we found these people to replace our siding. Our house looks so good, and the new siding has eliminated alot of the noise we used to hear during wind storms. The fan fold design that Niles, our Sales Rep suggested, has really reduced the sound of the wind. We are actually sleeping better. The crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job. We also had two field supervisors show up with the crew to explain everything. Levi & Ricardo helped with anything that came up during the installation process. We're extremely delighted with the final result. You should definitely give them a call.

The work was completed about one month ago. Workmanship seems to be fine. The team did an excellent job of completing the work as scheduled and made sure everything was cleaned up once finished.

The MOST Awesome experience with OpenBox Tom Bill and team!!!- Showed up on the night of the tornado and continued on with experience and professionalism! We went through hurdles and Tom went to bat with my insurance company and in the end all worked out and made my home better than before. Not the worst contractors we've had, but certainly not the best. Getting the quote correct was really difficult. We were assured that they would tarp since we were concerned about debris having a child. They put down tarps one day. While the project manager tried to clean up some of the mess, we're still finding nails and have debris and paint chips all around our house that we're left to clean up now. The whole process was a hassle. The end product looks okay, but not sure I'd recommend them if you're looking to go over existing wood siding.

In August 2023, our neighbor let me and my husband know that some of our shingles were damaged. With roof being original to house and close to 25 years old, we knew it was time to replace it. After doing some online research about shingles and the different manufacturers, I started contacting roofing companies, and fortunately OpenBox Roofing and Restoration was one of my calls. From my first contact through the completion of the roof installation they were excellent. I called five companies, and of these OpenBox was the most responsive. Niles Hall was the project manager and he arrived the next day. After doing a through inspection of our roof, including climbing up to visually inspected it (two story house), he sat down with us and explained what he found. With OpenBox being an Owens Corning Preferred contractor, he walked us through his recommendations, explained the roof replacement construction with visual illustrations, and left shingle samples. He even recommended a shingle color (Midnight Plum) that we decided to go with, and it looks terrific and neighbors have given compliments

Our lot offered some challenges in that we do not have a driveway, but Niles took ownership of the issues and figure out the logistics to make it work. (Note: the other roofing companies said it would be OUR problem to sort out.) He also took note of the extensive landscaping around our home and explained what his team would do to prevent or minimize any damage to plants, and steps they would take after the roof was done to clean up any remaining roofing materials.

After our meeting, we had a quote in hand before the end of the same day with different pricing options depending on the premium level of the shingles. OpenBox’s pricing was very competitive compared to the other bids I received, while offering more. Also, they provided in writing the workmanship and shingle warranties that would be given by OpenBox and Owens Corning. Before committing to a vendor, I asked all of them to send me proof of insurance and bond, but only OpenBox came through. I worked Megan Hughes who like Niles, stayed in communication with me and answered any questions that popped up.

Niles and Megan made the whole process as worry-free as possible. If you are collecting bids for a roof replacement, I highly recommend including OpenBox as one of your calls.
