5-star rating and then some. I can’t recommend Onofrio’s Total Construction highly enough. We entrusted them with a major kitchen renovation project that combined several rooms, raised a ceiling, raised a floor, and much more. The scope of this project is the kind of ‘once in a lifetime’ project we’d long dreamed of doing. At the same time, picking the wrong contractor with a budget of this size (i.e., can’t afford to do it twice) would have been catastrophic.
We knew Josh and his company because they did a second-floor/dormer addition to a friend’s ranch house. We eventually met Josh and were sold on him immediately.
Thankfully, it was very much the right call. Josh was in constant communication with us every step of the way. Always responded to us quickly and always set our expectations appropriately.
The work they did was perfect. Every detail was accounted for and discussed ahead of time. The project finished on time and on budget, with zero headaches.
It’s almost hard to believe that this is now our kitchen. Thanks to Josh and team, the project has surpassed our wildest dreams. Could not be happier with the results, as well as the smoothness of the entire project. Highly Recommended.
We had Josh & team gut and remodel our kitchen, entry way and family room. They came in and were able to visualize a new floor plan that two architects and other builders were not able to do. It was exactly what we needed and works beautifully. I love the end result! They were a pleasure to work with, all the workers and sub contractors were wonderful. And the best part was they completed the job in a few short months. Work was done every day and perfectly organized across all the subcontractors so we were not sitting around waiting for stuff to happen. We would definitely use Onofrio again.
From the very beginning of the planning process to the finishing touches, Josh and his amazing team went above and beyond expectations to make sure that our second-level full dormer, including adding a bathroom and working with a wonky roofline, was perfectly built. I heard about how contractors are unreliable, so I was cautious and did my research thoroughly. Josh Onofrio and Total Construction LLC came highly lauded. Josh is a local contractor in the Hamden/Branford area, doing this work all his life. Josh was super thorough, clear, and upfront about the process. Their prices also put a bigger company to shame when quoting the job. When the permits cleared, their crew was promptly on time every day, through sun, wind, rain. I kid you not - they were better to getting to work than I was! Josh's crew, Carl, Will, and Tee are amazing people who were respectful of our home, kind, and warm. I didn't know that such a contractor team was possible. I recommend them to family and friends. You'd be lucky to get into their schedule, so don't wait!
