On Top Roofing - Park City, UT

I’ve done various piece work with OnTop over the past 15 years — including slip sheet, heat cable, ridge venting, and snow removal — but for a full roof replacement during the summer of 2024 we spoke with multiple roofers about the project. For the new roof, I wanted to increase the use of metal to better mitigate a couple of persistent problem areas we’ve had to deal with over the years. Brandon was thoughtful and collaborative about the unique considerations with our roof, and he provided experience-informed recommendations to help achieve our desired result mixing asphalt, metal, gutters, anchors, and heat cable.

Brandon and the OnTop team worked with us through a fairly large project and provided both flexibility and guidance as we got to wrapping up the final aesthetic and functional details, making sure that all details were completed correctly and as agreed for the best result. Although we’ve not yet experienced a winter to evaluate performance with snow, I am very happy with the work performed and the collaboration of the OnTop team. I am confident in the quality of work performed and appreciate having a one-stop contractor for the entire roofing project, including gutters and heat cable installation. I would absolutely recommend OnTop Roofing for high quality projects in our challenging high altitude mountain climate.

I've used On Top Roofing for repairs to my 27 year old roof in the past. This time I needed a small piece of sheet metal bent to deflect roof runoff from a fireplace exhaust. I guessed that they would have a Metal bending brake, which they did. With no appointment, I brought my piece to their shop and asked if they would bend it. They bent it for me as I waited, at no charge.
Thank you for your help and generosity. It's nice to have such helpful contractor, close to my Summit Park home.

Most skilled and knowledgeable roofing company I've seen. If you want it done dirt cheap, look elsewhere. If you want it done right, this is the place.

I was in need of two new roof boots and some silicone and On Top just gave me them for free. These guys were very helpful.

Casey was responsible snd professional throughout the entire process, from providing the bid, material selection, installation and clean up. Their pricing is competitive. The installers worked exceptionally hard They were polite and did a great job cleaning everything up. On Top Roofing did a great job! We have been customers for over 20 years

I had a truck full of old doors and trash from a remodel I did for a customer in Park City. I needed a close landfill or transfer station so I could unload and make room in my truck for my tools. I googled the nearest landfill. Google finds bumper dump. It's 8 miles away way. So I go there and bumper dump pretty much doesn't even exist. That took the wind out of my sails because the next dump was in wanship or Heber. On Top roofing let me put the old doors in their dumpster. They didn't have to do that, but it sure made my day go more smoothly. That's just good community service right there. Thanks again!

Brandon at On Top Roofing was amazing to work with and his crew did an awesome job at a great price. But, what truly set them apart was the knowledge they provided. Instead of a simple here is how much it will cost to replace the roof, he provided a clear and concise explanation of why my roof was behaving the way it was and how it could be improved beyond just replacing the worn out shingles

Did a great job installing our heat cable. Professional job from bid to job completion and the communication and follow up was excellent! Brandon was especially good to work with and helped us make the best plan and decisions for our job.

On Top Roofing truck cut me off this 4/1/24 on I-80 going east at 0730 AM. He came within 1ft. of my vehicle as he was passing people in the slow lane going 85mph. I watched him over the next 10 minutes and he weaved and cut off an additional 15+ drivers and semi's until I could see him no longer. Looking at the negative reviews this is a problem that has been ignored. For what its worth.

We recently called on top roofing looking for a roof bid. We got a call back quickly after requesting a bid online. We worked with Matt Nance who provided us with a very reasonable bid! He was quick and efficient actually took the time to get up on the roof and take a look around (unlike other roofers who came with a paper already in hand not even knowing what the condition of our roof was)
He was able to answer all of our questions and more and even talk through some questions we had about other roofers.
Really appreciate the way he worked with us and the price was very reasonable.

I had a good experience with OTR this summer after lots of problems with our existing roof in 2022-23. Brandon is the key to their success. He was available (made himself so despite their busy calendar), responsive, and accountable. They did good quality work (metal valleys installed, new heat cable and upgraded electrical) and quickly addressed an issue discovered after the first snow. It’s key to use someone who understands roofing needs in Park City. We learned the hard way that SLC companies just don’t get Park City winters.

We had an entire metal roof, fascia, snow retention bars, chimney cap, gutter, downspouts and heat cables done on our whole house renovation. We also had On Top do our decking underlayment on our patio decks, which after seeing how they do it would never trust anyone else!

Choosing On Top for our job was absolutely the best decision we made on our project! We’d had some major contractor challenges when ours literally up & left the job after demo. Brandon at On Top promised us he would make our experience with them, seamless and easy. He 100% delivered on that promise, and continues to follow up with us & earn our trust as we are nearing the end of our project. He’s communicated so well, responded to my questions or concerns very promptly and had them addressed within a day. From helping us choose the right material to ensuring the job was done right & to our liking, Brandon was fabulous! He met with us several times to discuss different options, show us pictures of houses they’d done in different materials, & was so patient helping us figure out what we wanted & needed based on our roofing plans. He also helped us find ways to cut a bit of cost when we needed to-we never felt he was trying to make $ off of us, was only interested in making sure it worked well for us.

The workers who installed it were always there on time, & worked very hard throughout the process. They cleaned up after themselves daily, and always came back promptly when we had an issue arise (like when our HVAC guys accidentally drilled a hole into it.)

We love our roof, it looks great and is ready to get us through whatever winter throws at us. It wasn’t inexpensive (no metal roofs are), but it was an important investment to us. Between the high grade materials used and the top notch service given, it was absolutely worth every penny! I would highly recommend using On Top and Brandon to anyone for any roofing or metal needs. They literally bring the sheets of metal to your house & fabricate each piece to fit on site so everything fits like a glove! As you can tell, I was very pleased with our experience & appreciate how easy Brandon made the entire process for us.

Super disappointed. We live right down the street from these guys and really wanted to make it work but we've called 3-4 times to get a quote and gone to their office in person twice and they never contact back like they say they will. Outright ignored us last time we went to their office, nobody at the front desk and workers just standing around ignoring us even when we called out to get their attention. Rude and unresponsive.

We finally called a couple other places and already have appointments booked for quotes from both of them the same week. Sorry we wasted so much time on On Top Roofing.

Bush league operation. Have called 3 times trying to get a roof quote, every time they say they will call back later and don't. We are prior customers and the woman who answered the phone didn't even bother to look our information up. I just went to their office and there was nobody at the front desk but I could hear people working at computers. I called out but they ignored me. Absolutely unreal lack of customer service, glad we didn't get into a roofing project with this company if this is their standard of service.

Just needed 20 ft of drip edge to replace the winter damage to my metal roof. On Top roofing squeezed me in between 2 commercial jobs and bent the metal I brought them for no charge! What great customer service!

Haven’t used this business, however one of your drivers was driving recklessly, they changed lanes in the middle of an intersection not once but TWICE, one of the times cutting me off in the process. Probably shouldn’t drive like that while in a truck with your company’s advertising on it.

On Top Roofing has stood behind their work under the most challenging of situations. Our old shingle roof was decades old and hard to remove. The roof slants in many directions making the job difficult. There was a major thunderstorm during installation which created problems. Later when snow retention became an issue, On Top Roofing installed a reliable solution. They also reworked our heat trace cables, doing a better job than the electricians we had contracted.

Due to challenges with a 50 year old chimney, problematic skylights, and the unusual roof joints, some leaks appeared years later. On Top has come back and fixed the leaks at no charge.

I’m very impressed with their dedication to maintaining an impeccable reputation.

Had the side of my roof ripped off from fallung ice this past winter. On Top Roofing was able to salvage the damaged materials and restore the roof as before without the cost of ordering new panels. Great job.

Scott not only helped us with our roof immediately, he came back to check on us several times! They were, by far, the best at removing snow from our roof this past winter. Removed the snow from our roof. A thorough job was done and was done in a couple of days of calling them. A nice company to work with.

We had On Top clear the snow off of our roof due to ice dams. They were fast, professional and efficient. I have seen some reviews complain about charges. Prior to On Top, I used The Ice Dam Guys. They charged over $600 per hour for one guy. On Top was much more reasonable and we got way more snow cleared for the money.

We used this company for a entire new metal roof. On Top reduced the number of gutters and heat tape that were originally present. In the two winters since, we have had significant leaks and ice dam formation. On Top consistently refuses to warranty their work and will not even meet with us.

We have contracted with a separate roofing company to remedy the faulty work of On Top at our additional expense. I would encourage any potential customers to proceed with extreme caution when dealing with On Top.

Had a small leak from all the snow this winter. Called on a Friday afternoon, they were here on Monday am, cleared the snow and fixed the leak all in an hour. Cost was reasonable. Very professional company. Will use them again.

On Top shoveled more than 6 feet of snow from my house roof including removing ice dams. Since my removal, two neighbors did not remove roof snow have had water leaks inside walls from the extraordinary snow levels. Glad On Top took care of the roof snow load. Have used them previously for roof repairs on 20 year old house and installation of heat tape and gutters. Highly recommend On Top and will use them in Spring to repair heat tape on North side of house. This has been an extraordinary snow year!

I had On Top Roofing repair my existing metal roof, add heat tape around my chimney, and repair some electrical work inside of my house. They were professional, on time, and did great work quickly. I would use them again and would happily recommend them to any one who needs this type of work done in Summit County.

I called the company for a quote on a fairly small repair. They never responded after reviewing the repair. Finally when I got ahold of the owner, they said a complete roof replacement was needed because they could not match the roof color. I had two other roofing companies that were able to match the color. I will not use this company again in the future.

I called On Top Roofing in an emergency. It seemed like I had an ice dam problem and I had dripping from the ceiling. Brandon called back soon and listened to all the details. He then asked a couple of questions and let me know I didn’t have an ice dam issue. He told me what to adjust/fix and it’s working.

The appointment was scheduled and I was told the job would take about 4 days. To my delight the roof was actually completed in ONE long day! Lorenzo and his team work fast and organized. Very responsive to my questions. 5 star Roof warranty registered with Certainteed mfgr. Metal fabrication and install of metal caps on walls excellent. Roof and gutters great. They were happy to return to make sure we were happy with the job. Highly recommend!

Brandon and team did a great roof and gutter job for us. We did our roof in 2 parts and the same team did both halves a few years apart. Cleaned up every day, made sure the gates we closed so the dogs would not get out. Gutter guy did a great job

I scheduled work in October of 2020 for gutter work and snow retention for a new house. I literally called them 20+ times after they confirmed my appointment only to ignore my follow-up calls once the time came for the work to get done. Impossible to contact, no courtesy in following up with a phone call, and went through the winter with no work done on my roof. Worst contractor experience I've ever had - secretary always said they'd get back to me but never did. I don't feel that I should have to beg a contractor to gain a new customer - maybe there's not many options in Park City and they don't feel it necessary to respect potential customers?
In any case, I'd recommend finding someone else since I've NEVER come across a contractor that was completely indifferent to serving a new client.

This business has taken on poor business practices. They executed an agreement to conduct a scope of work in two parts. They performed part one for which they were paid. Great work might I add. They then spent the next 6 months providing a number of excuses as to why they couldn't complete the 4-8hr job. It was always "next week," "two weeks," etc. I suspect that they bid the job in an environment where materials were not nearly as expensive as they are today, so they may not have made a margin completing my job. I wouldn't know since getting them on the phone was nearly impossible, this is just my speculation though. I finally had to move on.

We had a great experience with Brandon and they entire crew. They were on-time and budget and did great work. I would highly recommend them.

Sure wish I could recommend these guys. Had them come to my place 18 days ago to quote a repair job. I was told I’d have a quote to review in two days. I’ve called back twice and left voicemails yet still no response. Will update this review if they ever respond.

My interaction has been with Brandon Gebo over the past year. This gentleman was/is outstanding. True to his word, incredibly responsible and responsive, concientious and thorough. I would request him and rest comfortable knowing he will do an outstanding job for you.

Our roof was falling apart and these guys did top quality work to get us a new one. Tearing off an old roof is a mess, but they cleaned up well after themselves and the new roof is beautiful. Went above and beyond to take care of every detail.

Casey, their repair estimator, came out immediately when we had a problem. He was extremely thorough, very honest and advised me in ways that saved me money and kept me from making unnecessary repairs. What a great company! I will not hesitate to use their services for any roofing needs and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is an update to my prior review. Once again, Casey and his team IMMEDIATELY responded when the massive snow buildup causes a problem on our roof. Casey got back to me on the same day (within two hours) when I reported a leak. We have at least four feet of snow on the roof. They had a team out there within 24 hours!!! I cannot praise On Top enough. They are honest. They truly care about their customers. They do outstanding work. And they do everything in their power to help, even when the conditions are so demanding. If I could I would give them ten stars.
