We are thrilled with our new deck. The quality of materials and workmanship is exceptional. We were very lucky to have Elias, who completed the job solo in just one week. It isn't a large deck, but we have old house so the project required quite a bit of customization and he completed everything to our exact specifications. What an enhancement to our backyard!

Our association's front entry walking surface/steps replacement was completed by Olympic Decks. We are very pleased with the final product! Their work enhanced the value of our properties's front entrance beyond what I had hoped for as an owner, and project manager for this project! From the start to finish everything was handled very professionally, and transparent by Andrew the estimator, Dimitri the owner, and Ilie the craftsman. Dimitri's response time to all our questions prior to the project starting was quickly, friendly, and and always detailed out. The estimate was very competitive and professionally presented including photos which made things clear during the Board's reviewing process.
Ilie Sobol was very courteous, and committed to providing a high end build. Working on a 1973 design while keeping the original wooden railings proved to have its challenges. With each challenge both Dimitri and Ilie put much thought into how they could bring the decking up to code while also building it as closely to the clients vision. I greatly appreciated their mindfulness to both needs. All challenges were discussed with me something you do not automatically receive from a contractor. This showed their commitment to customer service being kept at a higher end level.
It was noticed by myself, and several other homeowners the care given to the the build, and dedicated long hours of work Ilie put into our project. At each end of the day he always cleaned up, and left the area visibly marked off for safety both being extremely important to me as project manager living in a community.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Olympic Decks. The many 5 star Google ratings are spot on! A company begins at the owner and trickles down from there. Dimitri's work ethics, commitment to his word, and care are unbeatable!

We had several bids before starting our project. We decided to go with Dimitri because he was so easy communicate with and didn’t hound us like the other companies did. We are so happy with the choice we made! There was very little wait time to start, and the job was completed quickly.
Dimitri would be onsite every morning to check in and communicate with us and his team, and would also check in throughout the day. The demo team was quick, clean, efficient and friendly.
Ilie, completed all the construction on his own. He would work very long hours. He was kind, respectful, clean and did amazing work. He is a rare and highly skilled craftsman!

I highly recommend Olympic Decks. They replaced our old wood deck with a new Trex Transend composite deck. It looks great (see photos). The deck they provided has a high end feel and is professionally constructed. They also kept a clean worksite in addition to finishing faster than they originally quoted. The deck construction including the stairs were measured accurately and done right. It's been over three months in use now and the deck, stairs, and railings feel solid just like when they were installed. Dimitri was our primary contact with Olympic Decks and was great to work with. He presented options and listened to what we wanted, provided good competitive pricing, and provided great customer service. If you need a new deck they are a great option!

Dimitri and the Olympic team recently completed a 300+ sq ft deck for us in Seattle. The deck turned out beautifully, and I would like to thank them for a very seamless process. The team was very easy to communicate and work with, and pricing was also transparent and competitive. I highly recommend them for all decking projects in the Seattle metro area.

As a secondary note, I would also highlight Dimitri's ability to work within the Seattle permitting system. We interviewed a few contractors at the beginning, and most tried to downplay the requirement for a permit. Olympic was fully supportive of our desire to do everything "by the book," and they were still able to complete the project with only a modest delay for city approval.

Dimitri visited the site and prepared a complete itemized materials list along with a scale drawing. This made it easy to get approval from my HOA. The detail and completeness of his proposal was superior to others I interviewed and it was clear he knew exactly what would be required. His estimate was very fair and reasonable (no games).

The primary "craftsman" for the build was Ilie Sobel. Ilie had helpers when needed, but did the work almost all himself. Every cut and angle was perfect. His skill and competency is un matched. He worked long hours arriving early and staying late until done. Every day he cleaned up his work area and stored tools.

Dimitri monitored progress with several visits and made sure supplies arrived when needed. It is rare to find such a qualified and reliable contractor. Everything was done as promised. The Olympic Decks team (Especially Dimitri) were truly fantastic, from start to finish.

We came to them with a straightforward, but large ask (~1000 sqft of deck resurfacing) and Dimitri worked with us to show us our options, put together different quotes for different styles/materials and gave us time to discuss and review - rather than try to push or hurry us.

When we came back and accepted the bid, the team started work literally 2 days later! They were courteous, helpful, and did an AMAZING job - especially given the somewhat 'odd' angles and placements of our house/footings/landscaping. They then came and did a final walkthru with us, responded professionally to some of our nitpicking (odd-angle cut not sitting quite right, some railings protruding further than others, etc.) and got everything right.

We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to re-surface or build a deck!

Wow - these folks do great work! We had a back deck to replace, they were communicative, responsive, and came out with physical samples and an iPad full of photos of their work. We hired Dimitru and his crew at Olympic Decks to resurface our existing deck with composite and build us an extension to our current deck for a hot tub. It was quite a large job, but they knocked it out quickly, efficiently, and with impressive craftsmanship.

They were always very professional, and quick to respond to any questions we had about materials and design. We added a staircase to the deck mid project, and they were able to incorporate everything seamlessly.

They even came back after the job was done to fix some damage done to the deck by another crew working on our paver patio, no questions asked. Top notch all the way!

Our composite deck looks great and was done in a timely manner. Dimitri came out multiple times to answered all our questions during the quote process and was very responsive. There was some miscommunication with style and color but they resolved the issue with no problem. During the final walk through, we told them the door we had them installed wouldn’t open all way. They gladly agreed and told us the contractor would be back to fix it. I only took one star off bc of the minor hiccups but overall they did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new deck or porch!

I hired Olympic Decks for a 12x15ft deck project on the side of my house. After checking quotes from 3 other deck companies, we decided to go with Olympic. Their quote was a little higher than the average compared to the others, but the reviews and pictures they shared of their work convinced us to try them out over the competitors.

We're very glad we did.

After our initial quote, we visited the showroom in Tukwila and choose our colors / style of our deck. Dmitri was helpful and patient with our questions. After we signed the contract, he was responsive in communicating, and even let us change the start date for the contractors to show up. They were working at our house two weeks after signing.

Roman and Andrei (sp?) were the primary contractors, and were super talented and detail-oriented. They spoke almost no English (they came from Ukraine like 6 months ago), but they were proactive in seeking input throughout the project when questions arose, and were clearly proud of their work. We used google translate to stumble through talking.

Our project took 5 days to complete, from demo - foundation - deck - finishing touches - junk removal. Dmitri came by at the end to answer any questions and ensure we were satisfied. 10/10 experience, would recommend.

Dimitri and the crew at Olympic Decks are nothing short excellent. From the moment I engaged them for a bid they were extremely professional, on time, and helpful throughout the process. I had a pretty intense double story deck rotting away that needed removal and rebuilt on a very steep hill and they assured me they could knock it out no problem. They also helped advise through the permitting process and even chased down another engineer when the first one flaked getting me the stamp the city needed. As soon as permits were done, they had a crew out soon after and were there until it was complete. It’s hard to find companies who do good work and even harder to find ones that are responsive. I totally recommend them and will definitely be using them again next time I have a deck project need. The deck turned out gorgeous, sturdy, and sound.

The final product! We called on Olympic Decks to redo our deck which was starting to deteriorate. They were efficient, quick and they finished right in time for my brother’s birthday party. We highly recommend Olympic Decks!

We’ve done quite a bit of construction and worked with different contractors etc but just have to say we’ve been really impressed with Olympic decks, they’ve had great communication, flexibility, would correct things no fuss, show up as scheduled. We’re super happy with our project, they been great in working around side projects or having references for electrical etc. It all felt like good quality business and craft.

We found the Olympic Decks team to be very professional and knowledgeable. They promptly answered any questions or concerns that we had. The workmen were friendly, efficient, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. The supervisor visited several times and spent a lot of time talking to us about the project. We installed a large composite deck, and the team at Olympic Decks did a fantastic job at our property. They completed the job on time and within budget. Their team members are skilled professionals, which is hard to find in these days of labor shortage. The project was quoted and completed in half the time that other larger and smaller companies proposed. Dimitri, the owner/manager, is responsive and very professional. One of the deck lights failed a couple of weeks after installation, and they replaced it quickly, under warranty. We have been enjoying our deck for 3 months now. Excellent quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, clean worksite, and superior communications.

Olympic Decks built our new Trex deck in Edmonds, WA and it is beautiful! Our experience with them was amazing and very professional. They built a beautiful deck at a reasonable price. Really great craftsmanship from people who ONLY build decks. Everything lined up just right. Super responsive whenever I had a question or concern. For example I wanted different footings on the deck, they came out and changed it. I wanted less pronounced poles on my railings, listened and changed it. If there was ever any debris left over I just sent a text and workers came by to pick up that day. Can’t recommend enough.

Everything was spelled out to us before we got started and they ended up resurfacing the whole deck with Trex with new aluminum railings with lighting. To our surprise, it was basically one man that did that whole job demo to finish. He was meticulous and very hard working, long days! And finished on time. It looks amazing, and continue to get rave reviews from folks walking by. The lights on the posts are a must have! We had a major deck project (>3000ft2) of deck resurfacing and we checked with multiple decking companies. Everyone from remodeling contractors, timber companies to decking contractors. Olympic decks were competitive in price but not the cheapest but they were very professional being clear about the scope and what were our expectations. We chose Olympic decks because of the confidence we got from our conversations with Dimitri (who I would recommend).

Even though the project was large, their quality and attention to detail didn't change.Nor where there any bad surprises or cost over runs. All of the crew hands that worked had the same work ethic.

Dimitri and Team did a great job on our deck this summer. Upon request they came out to do the demo work earlier than the supplies were in so I could level the ground and do some dirt work I wanted before they started the build on the new deck. We were very pleased with the craftsmanship and love that they had samples to choose from (went with the Trex product). They also poured a concrete slab for a hot tub (which is on backorder). Overall I would recommend Olympic Decks!

I can't sing enough praise for Olympic Decks. They were a breath of fresh air when we were getting quotes, so easy and matter of fact. There wasn't any fluff or confusion with any part of the process. They work with very experienced architects and engineers for plans, we had no issues with the City of Bellevue. Extremely professional. Not to mention how cleanly they worked. We've been so happy with the finished product, it's been about 6 months and the deck has had zero issues. Thank you for your hard work. We wouldn't hesitate to use you again or refer you to family/friends.

I met with the company's representative and he was great at explaining all the details, showed me the materials and even suggested a few things when it comes to the design of the deck, which I found very helpful. They sent me a detailed estimate and were very transparent, unlike others companies I had to deal with. Their approach to the work is professional and the quality of the work is outstanding. The deck is looking amazing and I very much enjoy the new look. I highly recommend them!

George came out for estimate on aug 19. Said I would have my estimate one week later. Going on two weeks, still no estimate. Even sent them a follow up email and got no response. Thanks for wasting my time Olympic

Edit: received an estimate shortly after I posted this review. And then got a call, George explained the circumstances and was apologetic. Just to bad it took a bad review to get a response. I get that things happen, but a little communication goes a long way.

We had a terrible experience with Olympic decks. They were supposed to come and do an estimate on our home on a Saturday, and they never showed up. We called multiple times and left messages but no one ever showed up. I sent a follow-up email to see what happened. I received no response. We called on Saturday about two hours after the window had closed, and she said she would try to get in touch with the person coming to see our home. No one ever showed up and no one ever got back to us, including Ion, the person we were emailing. We will definitely not be using this company or referring them in the future. Extremely unprofessional to say the least.

Terrible experience with this company. I ordered a deck on cedar. They were fast at building, but the problems started to appear right after finishing. They left several gaps in the joints, missed some facia and some of the boards they provided had cracks or started to crack within a couple of weeks after installed. They provided the boards, so we complained with them about the quality of the material. The manager, Dmitri, justified the cracks saying that “it’s wood and it cracks”, sometimes even smirking at us. After weeks of complaints, they came and fixed some gaps and a couple of boards. Several other boards (and posts) were cracked, other gaps appeared and we had to continue complaining. They came back last week with another 3 boards and said that would be it, even though the problems with the posts, boards and gaps persist. The person responsible for building the deck was apparently new to the company and at no point any senior person came to check and verify the quality of the work. I tried last time to have them fixed but the manager (Dmitri) said they did more than any other company would do. Be no fool: they don’t provide a good quality work or quality material and tou have to spend a lot of time asking them to do the work they were supposed to do. See the examples of the problems as of now.

From proposal to completion Olympic Decks resurfaced our deck like true artists. We saved money by removing the old surface ourselves. Olympic Decks was great. Got rid of my old rotted deck and built a beautiful new one with a staircase. The crew was very professional and cleaned up after themselves every step of the way. When we moved into our townhouse in Seattle, there was a poorly constructed deck built off the 2nd story. We decided to replace it, and contacted Olympic Decks based off their positive reviews online. Dimitri and his team were extremely thorough and communicative. They made helpful recommendations and quickly provided a reasonable estimate to either repair the old deck or construct an entirely new one that would be larger, safer, and last longer (basically just better all around). They worked through rain and snow in January to complete our project and it took just a few days to demolish the old deck and construct a beautiful new structure. We're grateful for Dimitri and his team, and we're looking forward to spending our days on the deck during the summers. Thank you!

I needed to enclose an existing balcony-deck on the upper floor of my house, so that my cats could go outside and not run away, or get run over.

The project also required a transparent roofing material, and flower-boxes surrounding the entire balcony.

Also there was an existing cat-enclosure at ground level that needed to be improved.

Dimitri and his assistant did all of the above in 2 days. The work was good quality and not too expensive.

Now my 6 cats have more usable and safe outdoor space.
