I had a chirping smoke alarm mounted on a vaulted ceiling. I was wasn’t able to reach it and I was slowly losing my mind from the loud beeping! This gentleman showed up the same day and fixed the problem. He was professional and helpful. I highly recommend this service!

I called Old Time Handyman & Building on the Friday before Mother's Day weekend, and Jim answered. He was very pleasant and helpful. I was visiting for the weekend, and realized that there were some repairs that needed to be done that I overlooked on my last visit. I checked reviews on Google, and selected Old Time Handyman, since it was highly recommended and they served Bellingham. I explained to Jim that I needed a new microwave installed in a space over my range that had to be a precise fit, some locksmith tasks, and a hole on the stairway wall. Jim explained that he was busy, and could come after the weekend. I told him that I would be returning to my primary home out of state so I prevailed upon him to come over the weekend. I probably interfered with his weekend plans, but he was too kind to say no. Thank you so much Jim. He came to my home at the exact time that we had agreed upon, and completed my repairs and installation in a very professional and efficient manner, and was reasonably priced for the quality and amount of work that he had performed. It was a pleasure to work with Jim, and would definitely call him to take care of any other repairs or handiwork that I may need in the future

The old time handyman installed a grab bar in our stone-tiled shower. He did a great job and left the place completely cleaned up and ready to use.

I needed someone to come over and remove some things from around my mobile home. Some one came in a timely manner and did a good job. I'll be calling him back to do another job soon

He helped us with some ducting on our bathroom fan. It was venting to the crawl space and he ran it out to the external wall to vent outside. He was reasonably priced, friendly, and got the job done quickly. Thank you.

In the midst of a driving wind and rainstorm James dropped what he was doing and came to help secure and cover some roof vent covers that had blown off. He gave me an estimate to begin with, and was open about the costs and possible length of time to replace and repair them when the weather improved. I found him to be easy to work with, honest and reliable. I would recommend him to anyone wanting local help with home maintenance. He did return and complete the job in drier weather, reporting to me some other potential issues on the roof. And because the raingutters were overflowing filled with leaves and pine needles he unplugged the downspout and did some quick cleanup there. I will definitely use him again for other home maintenance issures I cannot handle.
