I'm sure I am like a lot of people, you get literature in the mail and you just throw it away. I had been looking for someone to do some work in our laundry room so I went ahead and called. Nicole can right on time for her appointment and had a few different ideas. The day the job was going to take place, Sam and Jesus came to the door and was very pleasant. The work was done in a day. They made sure I was happy with the outcome, which it was exactly as I hoped for. There was no mess at all.
I would not hesitate to recommended these two guys. When I have another project, which we all do, they will be first on my list.

We had some dry rotted wood above and below our windows and I feared that the dry rot went further than what you could see on the surface. From the start, Nicole was very helpful, honest, responsive, and easy to work with. Ben S. And Jesus came by and finished the project in a half day. While I was so nervous that this project was going to be way worse than what it seemed, Ben brought me out as soon as they took out the worst board and showed me that I needn't worry anymore. Luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought and they did a great job. I would definitely hire Odd Job Larry again!

Had all the old insulation taken out and new insulation put in the attic crawl space, and the basement shower replaced. Ben and Morgan were very professional, polite, and did quality work. We will use them again for future projects.

He goes out of his way to make sure the customer is satisfied; he gives 110%; and he seems to genuinely care about his customers and giving great service.

My elderly parents hired Odd Job Larry to make and install doors on an existing shed. The company made an honest mistake and sent the workers out with only enough material to make one door instead of two. As soon as the owner realized this, he was on his way to making it better. He got the material for the door from a nearby company that was different than their usual supplier. And then he hand-delivered the material himself and apologized to my parents for the mistake and any inconvenience this may have caused them.

After the doors were built and installed there was a slight problem with how one of the doors closed, due to either how the shed was built years ago or how it has settled. That same door squeaked when opened, which was annoying, and not something you would expect from something brand new.

My dad called Odd Job Larry to say he had a couple issues with the job and could they please send someone out to take a look. The owner came out the very next day! He listened while my dad talked, and then he carefully explained what the problem was to my dad and how the problem could be solved. The owner ended up going to a nearby hardware store twice to get the perfect lock to add to the top of one of the doors to secure them better. And he fixed the squeaky problem as well.

All in all, the owner spent a lot of time at my parents' house. He was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. After a shaky start with the material shortage, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, due to the owner's kindness and his commitment to his company. We will not hesitate to call Odd Job Larry again for another job!

Great experience with Odd Job Larry and everyone we worked with there. We hired them to finish a portion of our basement. I felt the cost was reasonable, the work they did was quality, and everyone was very professional. We will be repeat customers for future projects.

I hired Odd Job Larry to replace rotted and water damaged framing, subflooring and a section of the rim joist under a 10 foot wide picture window in my living room. They had to tear everything out while still supporting the window. Once they started working, they found more rotted wood across the base of the whole window. Ben S and Jesus did a great job, I was very impressed. I have hired Odd Job Larry several times in the past and would not hesitate to hire this company again.

Just had some work done on my basement and these guys are TOP NOTCH, everyone was wonderful and professional and efficient! Bert & Morgan were awesome! Don’t think I’ll have anyone else renovating my house except them!

I was referred to Odd Job Larry by my neighbor who recently had a lot of work done by them and was happy with the work, so as a result, I had them install a new door going into my spare bedroom as the previous door was damaged by the previous owner and no longer functional. They did a great job with the door. I also had them do some other smaller work at my place. They were very receptive to any concerns I had and always worked to resolve any concerns to the best of their ability. If given the chance I would definitely work with them again.

Very professional and answered any issues I may have had. Everything was done in the timeframe given. I would definitely call them again for work I needed to have done in the future.

The folks at Odd Job Larry have just completed a very large overhaul of our master bathroom and we can not be happier. We took out an unwanted angled wall and added depth to a walk-in shower, both bringing extra time and complexity to the project. Lighting was updated, a heated floor was installed and an old-fashioned spa tub was removed. Like every project of this scale, not everything went smoothly: our vanities and shower panels were damaged in shipping, causing delays of weeks. Our estimator and project contact, Jim, was with us every step of the way. Cecily, at Kitchen & Baths (OJL's sister company), helped us create a modern looking new bathroom, guiding us in the right direction in our choice of cabinets, fixtures and surfaces. I hear horror stories about other contractors (shout out to Karlsen Plumbing), but OJL crews and subcontractors show up when they say they will be there and keep you informed every step of the way. Odd Job Larry has been our go-to source for most of our recent home improvement projects. We will certainly work with them again.

From our first meeting with Cassandra and Joey, when we talked about what work we desired to have done and what we can afford to have done, OJL was outstanding!. They listened, provided insight, and helped us create a plan to make our home more functional and as close to what our dream plans were.

Cassandra is one of a kind. She is a wonderful first impression of OJL and does more than just estimating your project - she literally holds the customer’s hand the whole journey. She was always available for every question or concern we had going through this process and would go out of her way to find answers when she didn’t know off the top of her head. She never once called us crazy when we made change after change to get our final project just right.

The crew was fabulous. Jaimie and Ben were a delight to have around all summer. We grew to trust them and enjoyed having them work on our home. Each day (even the HOT ones) they showed up with a smile and worked as if they were working on their own homes. They made sure we were happy about every little detail. We think we met every member of the OJL crew by the end of our project and could tell you great things about each of them.

Overall, we are thrilled with our final results. Our “killer” deck turned out better than expected, our kitchen is bright and beautiful, the bump out added more space than expected, our refinished hardwood floors are stunning, and the added sliders made a dark back door entrance feel bigger and better than we could imagine. Remodeling our primary bathroom was our first major house renovation. We were nervous about the process, and overwhelmed with so many options. The OJL team was amazing from beginning to end! Cassandra was super patient throughout the whole process, answering questions and problem-solving promptly. Carlos and Rickey (the installers) went above and beyond! Their attention to detail exceeded our expectations. They treated our bathroom like it was their own. Our primary bathroom is now the best-looking room in our house! After recommendations from several friends, I hired Odd Job Larry to do three small jobs. However, it turned out that the installation of a door handle was more involved than anyone had anticipated. Ben P. demonstrated his expertise in the installation, leaving my door working better than it has in many years! So happy to have found a good handyman/carpenter.

Odd Job Larry removed our old bathtub and shower surround, installed a new Kohler Swanstone walk-in shower with Kohler shower control and also installed a new Kohler bathroom sink faucet. They also hung a new ceiling light for us over our stairs. We were very happy with Carlos and Ricardo’s knowhow, attention to detail, punctuality, professionalism and the way they cleaned up the area each day. It was very nice having them on the job. Odd Job Larry has earned every bit of this 5-star review! After a significant life event, I no longer had the time necessary to dedicate to completing the finishing touches on the whole-house renovation of my 106-year-old home that I had started almost ten years ago. This project was a challenging combination of old and new that incorporated reinstalling and painting original baseboards, 5-panel doors and casing, French doors, building custom mirrored bifold doors, and a complete facelift the the back-entry stairs.

Cassandra was an absolute pleasure to work with during the estimating process and throughout the project. She took the time to sit with me, listen to my story, and embrace the passion that I have for the work which I previously completed, then helped me create a plan that would result in the classy, cozy, and peaceful vision I had for my home from the beginning.

I had Odd Job Larry come out to repair two windows. Both Bert & Morgan were professional, courteous and did a fantastic job replacing the window sill and brick molding on both damaged windows. They got the work done fairly quickly as well, and left the area clean and back the way it was. I would highly recommend their services.

I was unable to complete a project installing 2 new toilets as there was an issue. We contacted Odd Jobs for assistance. Nicole came out and on time for the estimate. She was very professional and up front. The quote received was in the ballpark discussed. The work was scheduled in a timely manner and the workers arrived on time. They found another issue and corrected the problem. Odd Jobs called and told us the extra cost. Was highly satisfied and my wife is now happy to have her bathroom operable. Morgan and Bert came to move furniture and hang shades. The furniture moving job was not easy at all, but they did it with great precision and professionalism. Cassandra from OJL visited our home to determine the work needed, and answered our questions Alexa in the OJL office took our order and scheduled the work for us, and Bert and Morgan arrived promptly on the scheduled day and went above and beyond the repairs and installations requested. Recently we hired Odd Job Larry Inc to remodel our bathroom. We were looking for someone to install a shower in place of an old tub, as well as replace the old toilet, sink and flooring. The company kept us informed of any surprises they found during the demo and reported them to us in a timely manner. We were very impressed with the meticulous work completed by the team assigned to our project. Especially Carlos. He was very knowlegable and honest with us. It was appreciated that they kept the work area tidy and cleaned up at the end of each work day before leaving. I'm a bit confused & blown away how cassandra , the job estimater not seeing the job, except for 3 pictures sent over to her (even though i did say yes to a ball park figure to be given to me over the phone ) come up with a est. $6k dollars even with out a single tap ruler being pulled out ?? Materials that outragoues do to the inflation ? Doubtful ! 3- T-1 pannels, 4- 1x4 corner trim, 1- 1x8 x20 fascia board & brick mold for 2 windows is probaly at most at menards high end $250- $300.. So, after the ridicolus est.. i collected 3 other estimates Same job, 3 different companies and all 3 different companies ranged from $ 1,850 - $2,860 ‍♂️....

Very happy with the job I hired them to do. I had very heavy furniture that needed to be rearranged within the same room (some taken apart and put back together), as well as little odds and ends around the house. Fast, efficient work; friendly staff; and a great value.

Odd Job Larry, while not inexpensive, is masterful at home repairs. While it sounds like a one man operation, Odd Job Larry is a whole bevy of home repair specialists. With only a few exceptions, they are a full service company. The only exceptions I've noticed is that they stop short of jobs that would require a licensed plumber or electrician.
The real miracles are (1) they show up ON TIME and (2) they KEEP YOU INFORMED throughout the process!

Jaime and Ricky were AWESOME! Very professional and friendly. On time and did excellent professional work! They replaced my front storm door and repaired and replaced some soffit on my roof. They cleaned up all evidence of being there too! Great service and pricing! Highly recommend!

I had a to-do list of things that I needed to have done to my shed. While not a high priority, I've been putting them off for a couple of years. Built a fold-out ladder for easier access to the attic for storage purposes. Also, had them install an upgraded sink with more depth to allow for pots and pans to be washed without getting washed. Look forward to working with them next year on any other projects.

We just used Odd Job Larry again. This time we had flooring replaced by Bert and Morgan. As usual, they were great. We have used OJL services many times for both small and large jobs from minor repairs all the way to complete remodeling of 2 bathrooms and window replacements. They consistently provide great service. They are always on time, and always communicate with us and, most importantly, the quality of their work is always excellent. Jim Yonke has always been our estimator. We have a lot of trust in Jim. When we need work now, I just call Jim directly. I am very glad we found OJL.

We have used Odd Job Larry for multiple jobs including the installation of a cupola, building composite patio steps, and a pergola. Those projects turned out great!

Our latest job was gutting an old basement bathroom and installing a new bath and walk in closet, of their design. We are thrilled with the results! Although they ran into many unexpected issues (1944 house) resulting in cost overruns, they handled everything professionally and we can count on them to do the job right.

I received a quote to put in a jacuzzi. Was quoted around 4,000 I thought it was really great. The sales person actually came out to my home and took measurements. She didn't call back for for a few days we communicated through text. She finally got back and said it would be about14,000. She knew I applied for a home loan . We did get approved for almost double what I asked for. I am very upset and unhappy with what i believe is a very unprofessional experience. I did ask how much it would be for a regular bath tub just a little bigger than what we have now and that was 10,000. I am very upset about this experience I had with them.

Ben and Lou, came to fix my bathtub from a leak inside the wall. They brought in a whole new tub in the surround and they did an amazing job and in a very timely manner,! They are very professional they did a great job my bathroom looks fantastic they're coming back tomorrow to finish a few odds and ends. I was shocked that they even cleaned up after themselves. They always left the work space nice and clean before they went home for the night which is greatly appreciated because I have a disabled daughter. I will definitely refer others to them. My kitchen/powder room remodel is finally completed and all I can say is WOW! Odd Job Larry did an excellent job and a big shout out to Jaime and Ricky. These two guys went above and beyond making sure I was happy with what they were doing. I worried about how my blind dog was going to react to having people in and out of the house and the noise. Every morning, he greeted whoever was working that day and everyone was so kind when he wandered into the work zone. They took extra measures to protect him which I really appreciated. I also cannot say enough good things about the sub-contractors - Ben and Ben Jr/plumbing, Tim and Joe/electrical. Such professionals. And finally, there is Carlos who took care of the punch list items. He did such a good job correcting each issue - couldn’t tell there was ever a problem. Thanks to Joey, Jim and Pam. Our 28 year old garbage disposal finally went kaputt. We bought a new one and hired Odd Job Larry to install it. Bert and Morgan came and made an easy job of installation despite a glitch. The original installer has used silicon instead of plumbers putty and over the years the silicon had turned to cement. They figured out how to get the old one out without damaging the sink and the rest was easy. Bert and Morgan were very professional and easy to work with, We would highly recommend them and would hire them again

For those of you considering a large or small remodel you must reach out to the team at Odd Job Larry for assistance. Both my wife and I working from home had concerns about noise and distractions, but the team was always courteous and respectful.

Nicole was on site every other day checking on progress and met with the team daily to ensure a smooth remodel. The final product was everything we hoped for and more. We will refer friends and family to Odd Job Larry and tell them to specifically ask for Ben and Morgan, they both are true craftsmen at their trade.

Update: Unfortunately, I need to change my rating upon further experience and reflection. The gate we had done started to bow within the first year, so we had to have OJL come back to make some changes which they did at no charge. But it still seems to be bending. Had some caulking done in the kitchen. They had to come back and redo it because it looked like a mess. Had a deck/porch put on the front of my house last year. The lumber was all cracked and in poor condition, but they told me all lumber is like that, that was the best they could find and that after a year, I can just patch it before sealing. Well, now as I'm trying to do that and further seeing their work, several of the cracks are by where they put screws in, there are screws coming through the wood in some places, etc. It seems every project they've done for me has issues they have to come back and address or I end up addressing myself.
I first heard about Odd Job Larry at some home-owner events at the library. We just bought an older home in 2019, and we have a long list of repairs and upgrades we'd like to make. I was hoping to find a go-to contractor that we could trust, and I think we have found that with Odd Job Larry. We needed a gate installed pronto due to dogs and children, and we chose to add on the $99 Home Maintenance Checklist. James and Eric did a very thorough review of our home, gave us a detailed list of their recommendations, and then spent time walking through our house and reviewing the results with us. I have never felt they didn't have time to answer our questions. They have educated us so much already on various aspects of maintaining our home. Everyone was great to work with. Projects started on time, no surprises, and were done ahead of schedule. Eric came out to check everything and make sure we were happy with the work. We are very happy with the work they have done for us so far, and we look forward to working with them again.
