We decided to go with NuRay Metals for a new garage build. The metal wasn’t cut properly and we had to return and reorder. When the second batch came, we were faced with the same issue. The rep had us go with a different metal for the third batch, since the machine for cutting it must have been off, so we did. The third batch arrived and it too wasn’t cut properly. Each time we had to wait for the old metal to be picked up and the new metal made and delivered. We also had workers, who came quite a distance to install it, to deal with each time. We finally went with a different company and the metal was perfect. Unfortunately, the NuRay disaster added just shy of two months to our project. We never received any communication, explanation, or apology from NuRay after strike three. However, we were dealing with them through a contractor. Very disappointing!

From purchase to installation, Jeremy Legary was absolutely on point every step of the way. What really stood out was how responsive and patient he was—despite clearly having a full plate, he took the time to answer every one of my (many) questions via text without ever making me feel like a bother. Jeremy delivers the kind of old-school customer service that's hard to find these days—genuine, thorough, and truly focused on doing right by the customer. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

I’m a gutter/siding contractor that has used NuRay multiple times for custom flashing work. Each time, they helped me with dimension take-offs from old pieces of flashing, and even worked with my gutter materials supplier to get the material they needed so it would match existing gutter color. Fast and friendly and not afraid of small jobs. Yes, the parking is tight but I’m not dinging them for that. Highly recommended.

Nu-Ray metals puts out good quality products for a good price but the customer service is lacking.

One time I ordered through them I was told the product was ready to be picked up but only half the order was made, I had to come back hours later to get the rest of the order. This caused a little bit of delay on my project and additional costs for my truck rental.

Another time a few years ago when I placed an order for roofing it came with no fasteners which I was led to believe that fasteners were included with the price of panels.

I recently reached out to NuRay with a very tricky situation. After purchasing a new gas fireplace, the venting was different and removal of my old vent was going to leave a hole in my metal roof. Their commitment to helping me find a solution was unlike any customer service I can recall receiving. Big thanks to Eunice and Mike for truly caring about their customers. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone planning on adding a metal roof. You will not be sorry

I buy all my metal from them. Customers love it, and so do I. Service is great, and when something goes wrong they fix it

Here's the thing... I was fasting for blood work and on the way to the doctor and stopped in at this place. They had like 13 boxes of Pizza on the front counter. Immediately hated them. Even after this... Their know-how, kindness, and eagerness to help, left me content to unleash my grumpiness on the horrible drivers in Kent. Did these people cheat on their driving test so that they can drive like grandmother sloth slow in the fast lane?

This is a great business located in Auburn, they fabricate the snap loc roofs at the same location as sales. They are one of the few family-owned roofing companies left. The employees are friendly, Denny in particular helped me complete my project with material and great advice. I absolutely recommend this company for your roofing needs!

Stopped by to pick up some custom bent metal for a job in Suncadia. They were able to have it ready a day early. Fast and friendly service.

Sales person was excellent! He never for a second assumed that even though I am a 5'2" female I wouldn't be doing the roofing job. He answered my many questions to help me decide on what roof I needed and then wanted.

Only complaint is parking is tricky.

I have a Nu-Ray roof on my house. It does not make the rain sound louder. For over a decade I had moss growing out of control on my tar shingle roof. Switched to metal by Nu-Ray and for the last three years not a single sighting of moss. And, the vast majority of leaves just slip right off so no big accumulation of leaves to sweep of either. Of you're thinking about a metal roof in the PNW, get one. And, after doing a lot of research, Nu-Ray is one of the best for standing seam metal roofing!

I am a home owner who ordered materials for my metal roof from Nu-Ray. I had a horrible experience with Don Davies, the general manager who also acted as my sales contact. He screwed up my order multiple times and then claimed that his mistakes were always my fault. He was verbally abusive and insulting. Thanks for the worst customer service experience of my life, Don! The materials themselves were fine after all of mistakes were fixed. If anyone is considering this company do what you can to avoid Don.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
