Our home insurer on very short notice required us to replace our roof due to age. Northwood was recommended to me by someone in the trades who I trust (John at Dynamic Mechanical). I received quotes from a couple of different companies but Jesse from Northwood addressed all my questions and concerns and gave me confidence in what needed to be done. And I thought their price was very competitive. The roofing crew, working under the supervision of Bryan, paid a lot of attention to details on our very complicated roofs to remedy the deficiencies of previous roofers and improve our attic ventilation and flashing and ensure a water-tight roofing system. Highly recommended.

My experience with Northwood Roofing goes back to June 2022 - I have been recommending them to people ever since. Why?

Price: I got a handful of quotes for a roof replacement, and they were one of the cheapest. The only company that beat them in price offered apx. half the warranty and significantly inferior quality shingles.

Professionalism: All employees from the quote process, to the roof replacement, to following up on any concerns I've had after have been professional, friendly, and shown genuine concern for their quality of their work. I was impressed by their tidiness after the roof replacement as well.

Promptness: There have been a few times where I have sent emails with questions following my roof replacement. I send them whenever I get around to it, which is usually around 9pm, expecting a reply in the morning. Astonishingly, I've gotten replies back at 9pm a couple times now! Earlier this week I inquired at 8:41pm about a very minor leak that was not at risk of causing any immediate damage, thinking someone would stop by to check it out in the next week. I was told at 8:44pm that someone would be sent over right away. At 8:48pm an employee told me he'd be at my home in 5 mins. Talk about impressively fast service! Can't beat that. Especially for service that was still covered under workmanship warranty - this company really walks the walk. You won't be disappointed.

The Northwood crew were true artisans,
they took great pride in there craft. Their workmanship far surpassed all my expectations. The cost in my opinion was probably too cheap compared to the quality of workmanship. Very happy with work done. We made call Thursday 08 Feb.2024 afternoon to Company dispatch, after I’m was in touch with Eric to discuss our needs. Sent some images of our project, signed Northwood offer on line and 8 peoples crew was at 08:00 AM next day at my home. Removed old roof and started an installation straight away. Saturday afternoon job was done.

Our roof was leaking really badly after our last wind storm. We had Northwood out on Friday to have a look. They were able to start on Monday!

On scale of 1- 10, these people are a 12. Not only is the product great, the workmanship was fabulous. They did a thorough cleaned up afterwards where they ran a magnetic broom all over the place. Very highly recommended.

I was referred to Northwood by my neighbor who is a general contractor. They were professional, responsive and helpful with recommendations. I had 3 layers of old roof removed, new plywood, roofing, gutters and chimney paining done. They were good communicators; for example they were planning to start on a particular day but recommended to change it by a few days because the weather was planned to be very hot so the roof would have gotten soft and damaged during installation. Good suggestion. The job was arranged on a handshake. The main job was done in 2-1/2 days, new gutters took a day and invoicing done at the end. Bill was paid with no complaints. I fully recommend them.

We had a leaking roof hatch that Northwood addressed for us. They found a supplier, order the hatch and installed it all before the fall rain began! Bravo

Had some problematic gutter and drain design issues stemming from the original design of the home (1986). The placement was too high in the drain, resulting in runoff points. The team installed new larger drains and re seamed them all, with new downpipes. Price was reasonable, better than other quotes received, but most important the job was done thoroughly and professionally.

Northwood Roofing gave us a competitive and comprehensive quote for the roof of our new garage building and were selected to do the job. We were ready for them in early December 2021 and they got the job done on time and without any drama or issues. About eight months later, it was apparent that the ice cold conditions of the installation caused a minor cosmetic problem with a few shingles in one spot. I sent an email asking for Northwood's help and a service truck pulled up to my gate 25 minutes after I pushed the ENTER key to send that request! The friendly young man had a look at the roof and said "yeah, I see the problem" and promised a repair in the near future. One week later a Northwood Roofing service van arrived equipped with two professional roofers and some new shingles of exactly the right type and color. They were done in one hour, problem fixed and they left me with a smile on my face.

We were in need of a roofer to cut in 3 roof flashings on a roof and called Northwood Roofing, very happy we did, the office was very helpful and we were able to get the job scheduled very quickly and the work was done without issue, on time and on budget - can't ask for more! Wouldn't hesitate to work with this company again, and refer them to others!!

Horrible experience. They were unreliable and basically ghosted us. When they finally started the job, they were unprepared, had only one lone guy here for most of the morning. Then he left saying he would be back tomorrow. Never come back to finish the job agreed upon. Company ghosted us... again. We wanted to end our relationship with them and get a more relatable company, asked for an invoice of what was done so far and they wanted more then what was agreed upon originally for an unfinished job!! Then had the nerve to ask for a favourable review in exchange for $15 Visa gift card!! The trade industries have more work than they can handle, so some companies pick and choose what jobs they want. Thats fine, just say that you are busy and can not take on any more projects...simple. It is NOT okay to neglect jobs you have signed and agreed on just because you deem them not worth your time. Wasted our whole summer and left us scrambling to find another company before the rain season starts.

We had 3 solar roof vents installed by Northwood Roofing and super happy with the results. My daughter's bedroom used to be hot in the summer but it isn't now, thanks to the solar venting. All our upstairs rooms are cooler now too. I would recommend Northwood Roofing to anyone who needs to ventilate or cooling down their house. I even get one installed on my garage so I can spent more time in my man cave.

Called about a roof leak, they came that day to do a temporary repair while waiting for materials to come in. Did a wonderful job professional job with repairing the roof.

Excellent Work from Estimate to completion. We worked through options and took the most cost effective for the estimated life of the roof. The crew came in did an excellent job on the gutters and roof and left the job site cleaner than before.

Looked like a good company to start but they never showed up when they promised to start the new roof. I sent the signed agreement and they agreed to a start date. I had questions on the extras and the costs and they just disappeared and never showed up. Communication is key and they fell flat. My roof was leaking so as you can imagine this was very frustrating. Lots of other good companies out there with great service and more competitive prices.

What a great team, from the initial email inquiry to the product installation. I am very happy with every aspect of how the team ran their business. Response was quick and they gave me a ballpark estimate without a million questions. They only asked what was necessary. They set up a time for installation when my product arrived and the technician was very clean and did a amazing job. I got the 4 seasons solar vents installed in my garage and breezeway to help regulate the temperature. I am impressed with the product but the customer service is what got me. I will be installing a couple more next year and have already talked to my families and neighbors about this gem of a roofing company.

I would like to send a thank you to the Northwood Team for the excellent job they did on reroofing our house and garage. Mike had come out to check our gutters and notified me that our roof was in very bad condition and showed us some pictures he had taken. We connected with Eric in sales and we were able to agree on replacement roof plan. Very quickly thereafter they had a tarp on the roof because rain was in the forecast. The next break in the weather and Jeff and his crew were out and found enough opportunities with weather to get a new roof on the house, garage and pump house. They repaired my very old chimney caps and facia that had a leak when we had stormy weather. Hopefully this was the problem and is rectified.

I choose this company based on the google reviews and I’m so thankful that they lived up to the reported standard. They were friendly to deal with, worked with the budget I had, but most importantly they did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves. I only found a couple nails and a handful of asphalt bits, which is much less than what I expected based on the typical “messy roofer” stigma.
