We needed to replace a 2nd floor outside deck door. With all the atmospheric rains lately, it had started to fail. We found City & Country website and they had some really great reviews. Called them, and the owner was at our place the next day. He was very thorough and gave us some options. He sent us a very competitive quote within a few days. And a timeline to install the new frame and door. Two of his technicians arrived with the new door. Very professional and experienced and polite. They went right to work and everything was completed that day. It is great to find a very professional and local Surrey company that can take care of pretty much everything. The office manager Sharla was extremely helpful. With great follow up and attention to detail. We will definitely be using City & Country for any issues that comes up at our home in the future.

Shayne gave me a quote to fix the damage and it was agreed upon to fix it. At the end of each day the workers cleaned up, used a magnet to make sure no nails or sharp objects were left behind. Andrew Jeffers is a class act. After reviewing several contractors for our home Reno, City&Country came out on top. We hired City & Country Contracting to open up a wall in our condo unit and could not be happier. City & Country listened and executed on our vision. I have no reservations in recommending them to tackle any project. From the outset, they were responsive, prompt and professional. City & Country did not make us feel like our project was too small or not worth their time. They were knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with strata buildings and the restrictions that can be imposed; they were diligent and directive in navigating City permitting and inspections to keep our project on schedule.

I called City & Country Contracting Ltd. because I had issues with the posts that were holding up my deck cover. The posts were buckling from the weight of the deck cover (glass and Aluminum), terrible work from the contractor that originally installed it. Two posts had only used 2 bolts to fasten the posts and one had only one bolt. Fraser came and checked in out and explained to me how they will fix it and gave a reasonable price.
I also had them secure the lattice under my deck and clean the glass roof of the deck, all for a reasonable price.
Steve came over and did an excellent work.

We recently used City and Country for our renovations. They were easy to work with and very professional. We caused a lot of ups and downs with change orders and personal issues that they handled like pros. When sub-contractors didn’t meet our expectations they had them repair the issues until we were happy.

This was our first reno and after hearing from friends about challenges they’ve had with contractors, we were feeling somewhat apprehensive.

On reaching out to City & Country we spoke with Shayne about our project. He introduced us to Jeff who worked with us through the requirements and estimating stage. They both asked great questions, listened to our vision and made some good recommendations.

Communication with Jeff was first class, with superb follow up (usually within 24 hours) to confirm deliverables and ensure we were happy with estimates and costs.

Even though we had not commenced any work at this point, we were already feeling confident about our decision to work with City & Country.

We decided to break our apartment reno into several smaller projects: a full bathroom reno, construction of a custom room divider, and the installation of wood flooring, baseboards and doors throughout the apartment.

Shortly before the work kicked-off Jeff passed us over to Emily who coordinated our projects and introduced Ross as our on-site project manager. Emily also organized the required permits for our projects, scheduling of sub-trades and supporting Ross with any challenges.

Their work is of high quality, and they managed any challenges with ease so we didn’t have to.

City & Country exceeded our expectations, and went above and beyond. All the projects are a team effort, everyone clearly supports one another with one mission, to deliver and provide a great customer experience.

We are very pleased with our newly designed gazebo and front porch stairs and railing. Our gazebo has a new roofline which they designed, (originally a gable roof and now a shed) a new black metal roof, and a beautiful wood interior ceiling. Our front porch stairs and hand railing which required yearly painting have been replaced with low maintenance composite wood and black aluminum railings.

Last year City and Country Contracting won the bid for the interior upgrade of our 39 unit/ three story condo building. The job has now been completed and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome and work preformed by City and Country. They were extremely professional, the job ran smooth and was completed ahead of schedule. The onsite manager was conscientious and would keep the building tidy and livable. He would monitor the trades to ensure the jobs were completed in a timely manner to specification. He communicated and coordinated well with not only the Strata council but kept the owners updated on the project. The job was completed on budget which is crucial to a strata building. We were very pleased with the overall job by City and Country contracting.

City & Country did a remarkable job for me.
They took out my old large hot tub without destroying a lot of my original deck so the redo was kept to a minimum. They were very efficient, finished the job on time as they had told me when they would complete the job, cleaned everything up and took all the debris away.
I would highly recommend this company they stand behind their work and tell you exactly what it will cost upfront so no surprises.

If you have anxiety and trepidation regarding hiring a contractor for your project, I empathize. On the recommendation of Kathy Johnston at Kitchen Elements, we bit the bullet and hired City & Country Contracting for our kitchen renovation. Structural reports were procured, permits were obtained, walls came down, old sub-flooring was ripped up, new walls went up, new plumbing was installed in different areas, drywall was channeled for new electrical, new wiring was pulled all over the place for appliances, outlets and lighting. There's much more that happened during this renovation, but to me the most important thing that happened was that we hired the right contractor and kitchen company.

In the past, I completed a Building Technologies program at BCIT and worked in the drafting and design industry, plus I have done a self-designed major renovation to a previous home. It was important to me to observe and be present during our project. I was very pleased with the overall workmanship, tidiness of the worksite, excellent communication, and genuine caring of the City & Country employees. If I had input or anything specific regarding how I would like something to be done, they were always willing to work together with me. I have a lot of respect and gratitude for all the people who worked on our home, thank you! I'd like to send a special shout out to Emily and to Ross, our Project Manager. Big thanks to Emily for keeping everything so organized, giving good advice, and for ALL the work and input. My pony wall is as sturdy as I could ever hope for. As for Ross, I grew to really appreciate his acute attention to detail. It was a great feeling to know he was always on top of things, scanning for any deficits or unfinished work by subcontractors. He never missed a thing. Ross is hardworking and quite particular about getting things ready for the next stage. In addition to the many, many tasks he did, his baseboard finishing work was superb. As a side note, when my husband was injured at the end of our project and wouldn't be able to carry our couch back upstairs with our son, without hesitation Ross offered to do it. I couldn't believe it. I was so stressed about how we would get that big piece of furniture up. Ross and Carter arrived early one morning and it was done. I just about cried. Thank you Ross and Carter. I think by that gesture of kindness you exemplify what great human beings you are, and what City & Country is all about, a company that goes above and beyond.

Due to scheduling of subcontractors the project took quite a bit longer than planned but the team pulled together and delivered two absolutely beautiful bathrooms.
