The process was great from start to finish. Thomas who was our point of contact did an excellent job of keeping us updated on status regarding delivery of materials and project updates. Thomas returned following the completion to walk through with us and ensure we were satisfied with the work. I would recommend North Star if you are looking for roof replacement.

As a good business man, Dillion knocked on my door to chat about my roof. He is not the first to do so. Dillion, however, with a top notch professional and personable style, made me realize I should keep his contact info. The main reason? He knows EVERY side of his business. Dillon did a great job explaining everything that was going to be done. He gave us options and explained the differences. They did the entire job within a few days, including soffit and facia replacement, roof and gutters. The workers were all professional and did a great job.

I'm very glad that Dillon came by my house. A few weeks earlier I had asked a very reputable roofing contractor to come out and walk my roof to see if I had any hail damage. They obliged but did not find anything. Dillon came by and offered to take a look, so I said why not? He found some damage and took some photos that we reviewed together. I had enough confidence to contact my insurance provider. The adjuster came out and agreed with Dillon's assessment. It took a while to work through the paperwork process but in due time I received a new roof to replace my damaged roof and it only cost me a deductible. I was of course concerned the quality of the work and the protection of my landscaping as I realize it has more to do with the actual crew that gets assigned to do the work. The crew showed up, worked hard, protected my landscaping and finished in a timely manner. I feel like I have a nice roof that both looks great and adds value to my home. NorthStar was good to work with. The insurance process was pretty painful but that was generally not their fault. I had to follow up a couple of times on timing but they got the work done quickly and the roof looks great.

I didn’t appreciate the salesman who appeared at my door offering the free roof inspection, but damage is damage. I highly recommend NorthStar. We worked with Chris Roche on the replacement of our roof and guttering due to a hailstorm. He dealt with our insurance company and was amazingly patient as the insurer replaced our adjuster 5 times over 7 mos. Requiring him to nearly start over each time. While our insurer left a lot to be desired, Chris was great. He handled the situation with ease. The work on our roof was excellent with the crew finishing in one day and cleaning up so much better than other companies working on houses around us. The same was true with our guttering. We couldn’t have been happier with this company and Chris. Thank you!!

Josh Woods did a masterful job leading us through the process of getting a new roof and gutters. I knew he would.

In 2016, we had a freakish 15 minute hailstorm that dropped baseball sized hail throughout the neighborhood. Josh was with another company at the time but he did a great job and we got our house back in order.

So 8 years later this April, after this last storm, I checked to see if I still had Josh’s number. I did! He’s with another company, but it’s not the company, its the rep. He was on it.

We had to do some haggling with USAA for the gutters, but Josh found a way to make it happen. $15k in repairs and we were out only $1k.

Josh reminded me of my “can-do” Marine sergeants I had the privilege to lead for over 20 years. Had my back, but were out in front!

The biggest endorsement I can give him however, is that my wife—who is a great judge if character and a hard sell—thought he was great!

My experience with NorthStar was great overall. I worked with Thomas and he said he would navigate me through the process and make needed contacts with my insurance company and that’s exactly what he did. If he was going to be unavailable he gave me the name and number of someone I could contact in his absence if needed. Thomas was very personable, easy to work with, and explained things well. My only suggestion for improvement is timeliness. Of our four face to face meetings he was considerably late to two- he called and forewarned me about one, but I had already left work to meet him. I would recommend working with NorthStar, and Thomas, specifically.

We had storm damage from heavy storms in spring 2024 along with others in our neighborhood and Northstar were there to save the day. We had the pleasure to work with Thomas. My elderly mother and I were a bit hesitant because contractors can be a bit shady sometimes. Thomas waked us through every step of the process and was even patient when we had an issue to handle before we could proceed. He stayed in contact with us and kept us in the loop during the whole process. Answering all of our questions and quelling any concerns we had before the job was done. We had one very minor issue with a piece of siding that was damaged by the roofers and he saw that it was repaired immediately. He worked very well with our insurance company getting everything taken care of. In the end we ended up with a well constructed, dent and hail damage free new roof. Thank you Thomas and Northstar.

Matt was extraordinary from the very start. He worked seamlessly with our insurance company to get us a new roof. Communication was better than I have seen with any contractors before. He was always quick to respond with any questions. Though I can't see all of it, the roof looks great too!

Thomas from NorthStar Group made an unfamiliar process feel easy. He handled almost all communication with other parties involved, advocated on our behalf for accuracy in estimates, and was always available to us in answering questions or giving updates. The work on our house was top notch and all those we interacted with were courteous and helpful throughout the process.

I just got a new roof from Ryan and NorthStar from the spring hailstorm. I originally didn't think I needed a new roof and Ryan came by through my neighborhood and provided a free inspection. Ryan was awesome from the start and showed me all around my house where hail had damaged my home that I had not originally seen. I looked up reviews and saw great ratings and saw Ryan's name in another review, so I decided to go with them, and I am happy that I did. Ryan lived up to everything he said he and NorthStar would do. They helped me go back and forth with my insurance company. I was glad I had his help because my insurance company took over 2 months to get everything figured out. Ryan not only helped me get a new roof but because of his service and inspection, I am getting my entire home repainted, fence restained, and a new gazebo. The contractors were great and got my entire roof torn off and replaced all in one day! The cleanup was really good. NorthStar also backs up their work with a 5-year labor warranty. Ryan also helped me upgrade my roof to a class 3 roof for only a few hundred dollars more which is going to save me just over $500 a year on my home insurance. The people and service are what makes the difference and Ryan and NorthStar are the real deal. Thank you Ryan!

Completely useless company. A large hail storm came through and pretty much every house in my neighborhood needs a new roof. I contracted Northstar to replace it on march 14th.

By the following week I already had the insurance scope of loss. I give it to northstar and they tell me they are going to get things going. I hear nothing for a week, I ask for an update and apparently the previous agent left and they couldnt get into his email for the insurance info. Did they reach out and ask me for it? Of course not.

They will never reach out to you, I have had to contact them numerous times just to be told things will get going soon. I even asked them to please tell me if they couldnt do the job so I could find someone else but was assured they would do the work. Now it is May 14th, almost every other house in my neighborhood has had their roof already replaced and north star has done absolutely nothing for me.

Use this company if you enjoy having a lot of your time wasted with nothing to show for it.
