My old deck was in need of repair. It was sagging and needed to be sured up. I was so impressed with Cam and his workers. They came in and got right to work fixing my deck. It is now level and looks so much better. They did everything I asked and I couldn't be happier with their work. I highly recommend them.

Cam was an amazing project manager for our deck and a new door to the outside. He responded quickly to emails and texts and people showed up when he said they would. I especially appreciated how Northern Exteriors has honored budgets and quotes. Excellent people in office to work with, too!

I had Northern do a major exterior remodel on my home. We met in the summer and it took a few months to get going because they were busy. I worked with Cam on the deck and patio roofing and Jonathon with the exterior siding. My wife and I were so impressed with the crews they sent. The craftsmanship was as good as we could have imagined. They were always on time and cleaned up every day when they left. We asked them to fix a couple of items and they did it without hesitation and to our satisfaction.

I hired Northern Exteriors to build a small trex deck and stairs on a concrete patio. Their quote was priced better than competitors. Cam was great to work with. He kept me updated on the project, and made sure that I was happy with the results. There were a couple mistakes that happened as it was built, but when I pointed them out to Cam, he made sure they came back and fixed it to my satisfaction. Very happy with the end result!

Justin came to my house after I discovered i had storm damage. He helped me with the entire insurance process. He helped me file the claim and showed up for my adjuster meeting. My insurance company initially denied my claim but Justin worked through the denial and was able to get my insurance to fully approve my roof! He saved my family thousands and was extremely helpful and super responsive any time I asked a question and didn't understand what to do. I highly recommend using him if you have any roofing needs. I had 4 other companies out to look at my roof and not one of them was able to identify what he did. I can't state how thankful I am for connecting with Justin.
My family thanks him for all the work he did for us!

Updated again: the work was ultimately completed and done well! Overall would give five stars for the work quality and communication once the work actually began, leaving as four because of the communication and timeline issues initially.

Updated after initial review, to be updated again after completion of work: I signed a contract to have some siding and fascia work done in early July, and my deposit check for $3750 was cashed by the company on July 12, 2024. I was told at the time they were scheduling five weeks out.

Since then, I have only received vague updates that they were “trying to schedule a time for delivery of materials” or that I was “coming up in the queue soon”. When we got to September (well past the initial estimate) started following up more consistently and was told they had “lost several crews” but that the project manager was confident I’d be scheduled in the next 1-2 weeks. I wanted to cancel the contract and get a refund — which they told me they generally do not provide — but decided to give them two more weeks.

Those two weeks went by and I again received a non-update of trouble hiring crews and they’ll tell me as soon as they know something. I then posted the original version of this review. The next day they reached out with a date scheduled next week for the work. I have updated to three stars since it has been a much longer wait than expected, and will update again upon successful completion of the work.

Justin came out and did an initial inspection on our roof in Brigham city. The process was fast and efficient. He answered all questions we had and was very timely in his responses to us.
The overall experience was amazing. I would highly recommend Justin and Northern Exteriors !

I received a bid in July and since then had very little communication with this company. I got a couple of vague messages about when the project would be started. And then last week was informed that the project manager was no longer with the company and I had not been scheduled. In that two months the company retained a $2000 deposit.

A new project manager reached out earlier this week after I called to let them know I needed a solid date or a refund. I again got a vague date with promises to reach out the following day with an update. And received no message the following day.

I’ve updated this review as I’ve received a message from the office manager that they will be sending a refund of the deposit.

Edit: though I am disappointed with how things occurred with the service, Northern Exteriors did send a refund and attempted to resolve things.

Great service. Arrived on time, went to work. Did great job. Everything as advertised/promised. Great confidence in people. Job site was clean when they finished/left. Roof looks great.

I searched for siding repair, not replacement. They advertised for repair or I wouldn't have clicked their ad. When I contacted them, they had me send photos of the damage to my siding that would be repaired. They told me they would send someone out to do the repair service. Instead they sent someone to provide an estimate. It took them more than a week to send someone. The person came out, looked at it, and said they would send a quote later. I never received a quote for repair. They never told me that the job was below the scope they were willing to do, not after the photos, not after the visit.

Instead I got sales calls telling me all of the siding needed to be replaced (it did not). They told me that my insurance would cover all the costs. The insurance disagreed. They told me their people would work with my insurance to force them to pay for it. None of that was what I needed. Finally, when I insisted that I needed repair, not replacement, they told me they won't do repairs under $1000. The strung me along for 3 weeks before they finally told me they wouldn't take the job. Based on their antics, I wouldn't hire them to do any job for me, no matter the level.

EDIT: Since I can't respond to their condescending response, I'll add to the review.

My issue with this company is not that they refused the job. It's that they repeatedly LIED to me about what they were doing. They had me send photos, so right up front they knew the scope of work.

They LIED that they were sending someone to do the work.

They LIED that the would send me an estimate for the repair.

They LIED to me, telling me that code required them to tear down and replace all the siding.

They LIED that insurance would cover the "code upgrade".

They LIED that they could force the insurance company to pay for work that they LIED was required.

And now, in their response, they LIED about a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication. I showed them the exact work that needed to be done and what I was looking for, and they spent weeks trying to get me to do something else.

Now they're trying to LIE to other potential customers about an innocent miscommunication and project scope.

For that matter, their advertisement about performing siding repair is a LIE. They only do full replacement, not repair.

The TRUTH is that they knew exactly what I wanted, they had photos and descriptions of what needed to be done, and rather than telling me that my job didn't fit with the work they were willing to do, they spent weeks trying to upsell me on things I neither needed nor wanted.

We would highly recommend using Northern Exteriors. Jeff did a great job helping us envision what our house would look like and helped move the process along. Clive was also very personable and attentive. Even when we had issues arise, they communicated with us in a timely manner. We are very happy with our results and love our home!

Ryan, Justin and Alex's team did a fantastic job on the demolition (very clean) and install of our new siding, soffit, facia and rain gutters! We worked a few changes with the custom siding on the fly with no delays, and it all turned out great!

Northern Exterior recently completed work on our home’s exterior. We painted, installed diamond kote siding, replaced soffit, fascia, gutters, and shutters. Colton was great to work with when hiccups arose. We love our new home.

The whole process went very smoothly. The crew was on time, transparent, and did great work.

Jeff, in particular, did a great job of ensuring we were taken care of.

At the end of the process we have beautiful siding that should last us for many years to come (and that is key living in the mountains).

End result is beautiful! The guys were very friendly and wanted to make us happy. A few glitches along the way that needed correcting, but they worked hard to do things the way we wanted it done, even if it meant redoing some thing’s. They were hard workers on very hot days!

Great experience! Cam and his team showed up when they said they were going to. Had an issue with some dings on the rail, they fixed it immediately. 10/10 would choose to work with this team again. Pssst…. They also came in as the lowest bid of 3 for my project!

Can't say enough great things about Northern Exterior and Justin Philip who helped me with my project, was patient with my many iterations of what it would like, and answered any and all questions about financing, project costs, etc! Finished result looked great and they got it done quick.

Where do I start? Northern Exteriors has been amazing to work with! We first talked with Ryan at the home show about redoing the front of our house in siding to replace the faded stucco.
Ryan came out and gave us options and showed us what we could do and what the house would look like.
After seeing the bid and a computer generated image we decided to do the entire house. Ryan set everything up and gave us our start date.
The crew arrived and Julio was the contact person for the six man crew. They were on site before 8 am and cleaned every night, leaving after 6 pm on many nights. They worked 6 days a week, wow!! (Who does that these days??)
They finished the job early by about a week. The entire crew was professional, respectful, happy and friendly. They were playing music, singing and dancing. They were happy and happy people do amazing work. They went the extra mile and it shows in their finished product!

Had a great experience with Northern Exteriors! Cam was great to work with. He kept me update on the schedule and progress of the project. Their install was super quick, and when I pointed out a small issue they quickly fixed the issue I pointed out and other related issues that I wasn’t expecting them to repair. Definitely recommend.

Initially, we had a very good experience with the original quote being reduced by half! May 09 paid deposit, advised copies of all the paperwork in 3 days. We discussed possible start date of 8-10 weeks out. I mentioned that will be great since I will be traveling until June 09. My documents were not available to view until May 31. Now I'm out of town, they are starting tomorrow! Told they cannot reschedule! Tell me who wants repairs done to their home when they are unavailable. I feel betrayed, I never would do business with someone who disrespects our agreement in the name of "good service" Why do you have to start before the agreed time frame especially when I don't want it!!

Hoping for a better experience, I reached out to get a start date. I respect Northern Exteriors opted out of completing the job due to this review. Their position, " its a 1 star due to scheduling conflict" however, I was never offered the opportunity to reschedule which made me extremely uncomfortable! Complete imbalance of power. I was cornered, that's when people get desperate. Attorney's were mentioned as well as using social medias' vast power. Please check my reviews, I'm not one who lives in negativity. Moving on with grace.

House looks amazing but clean up was rough. Ryan was amazing he acknowledged all of my concerns and personally made sure it was fixed. If anything work with Ryan and can for decking. They both were very professional and worked with me through the project.

We had Northern Exteriors remove our old deck and built a new one. We are completely satisfied with the result. Our project manager Cam was professional, thorough and followed up with the smallest details.

I worked with Joe M from Northern Exteriors on a siding and soffit repair project. He came out for the initial quote inspection and clearly communicated what his team would do before providing a quote for the project. A different team came out to complete the work and did an amazing job. The repaired siding is so close to the original color you can barely tell it was fixed. Will definitely call Northern Exteriors for projects again in the future, highly recommend!

Cam and his team did a great job on my deck. They were quick and the guys that constructed the deck were fun and willing to answer my questions.

I was very please by the work done by Northern Exteriors. The work was clean and precise. My roof looks great. I want to thank Roberto and Justin of Northern Exteriors. They stayed on top of my project and saw that everything ran smoothly. They were very professional. They called several times to make sure I was satisfied with the work as it proceeded and came for a final inspection when it was finished to make sure I was totally satisfied and to see if there was anything I had questions about. I love my new deck. From estimate to finish product everything went fantastic. Everyone was so nice and it went so fast. They helped me so much and listened to my needs. They even finished early. Great workmanship & excellent finish. I highly recommend them.

We had an amazing experience working with Northern Exteriors. They installed a large deck and a pergola over an existing concrete patio. Adrian and his crew are superb craftsmen who showed up when they said they would and worked extremely hard to finish our new deck for Mother’s Day. We had some roof work that needed to be done. We had a new roof put on six years ago that was installed a little sloppily. We got several bids. The initial contact we had with Northern Exteriors was not great. The initial man they sent was not a good people person. We decided to go with Northern Exteriors despite of him. Of the options we had we felt best about this decision. That is when Roberto came to the rescue. He apologized for the original front man and immediately began to take care of us. They sent a crew out to work on our roof that just so happen to be there at the same time that our original roofing guy showed up to defend his work. They were gracious enough to send the crew away and they came back the following week to get the job done. They identified her problems and fixed them quickly. Major home upgrade with siding, soffit and fascia. Roberto was our project manager and great to work with. Quality workmanship and attention to detail. Questions and concerns were quickly addressed and taken care of to our full satisfaction. A large work crew worked long hours and completed the job in a little over a week.

I received a roofing quote and felt like I had a very honest discussion about options, and an informative experience about types of roof, technique for placement to understand what is available to allow me to make an educated choice. I really appreciated the time spent to get the information and understand it. I would highly recommend an evaluation and quote.

Every step of the way he made sure we were happy with the quality of the workmanship. Our house that had the original siding from when it was built in the 1970s went from weathered and run down looking to a beautiful modern looking home. Shad Sorensen kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. His crew was professional, timely and did a great job installing siding on my house. There were a number of out of the ordinary places on my 1944 home that these guys tackled and made look amazing!!

I contacted Northern Exteriors after a referral from friend who heard that my roof had suffered weather damage and needed replacing. He had nothing but positive things to say about them after they replaced his own weather-damaged roof a while earlier. Out of 4 roofing companies that inspected and made bids on our project, we selected Northern Exteriors. Roberto, the contractor assigned to us, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and communicated everything in a personable and easy to understand way. He capably took charge from day one - First, he helped us navigate the confusing insurance world by filling out and submitting a claim on our behalf and then personally advocating our needs with inspectors and adjustor. Second, he organized a team of miracle workers who, in between rain and snow storms, accomplished a herculean effort tearing off and hauling away 4 layers (100+ years of cedar shingles/shakes and asphalt shingles) of old roofing, and bringing our antiquated roof up to code from bare rafters to a finalized masterpiece in a total of 6 days time with upgraded 50-year shingles rather than the 30-year industry standard shingles. Third, when an unexpected complication did come up (our gutters were mistakenly hauled away), he was quick to make things right without any fuss. New gutters were installed at no cost to us. Not only were we impressed with Roberto, but so was our insurance company adjustor, who informed us that he (Roberto) was "the most thorough, prepared, and accurate contractor that he had ever worked with" which made his job as an adjustor "super quick and super easy!"

Issues often come up during a construction project. The true character of an organization shows in how a company responds when issues occur. Dan Stran represented the company & responded when we raised concerns.
Problem solving to get beyond the issues was stressful but Dan seemingly spoke up for us to help get resolution to our concerns.
The overall siding project was ok and we are happy with the new siding.

I needed help with some custom facia on my parents home and this company helped me get exactly what I needed. They are professionals through and through. I would recommend them to anyone.

Northern Exteriors completed a project on an older stand-alone garage with siding. soffit,
fascia, gutter, and a new roof. They responded quickly to our request for a quote and
scheduled an appointment based on OUR soonest availability. Shad, the project
manager, seemed very knowledgeable about their products and options. He also
consulted with others in their company for other options. We appreciated his knowledge
and not being pushy to sell more than we needed or to push us to make a commitment
immediately.
This project was at a cabin with only seasonal access. We were concerned that the
project needed to be completed before bad weather came. Shad prioritize the schedule
once materials were available. The crew started and worked consecutive days until the
project was nearly completed (missing a couple of items). They returned a few days
later and completed the project. We were pleased with the speed and quality of the work.
Shad kept us well informed and responded quickly to any questions that we had.

We used these guys to install our gutters 2 years ago on a large remodel we did, they were friendly and helpful then, but now when we called them back to help with one more gutter we need to finish off the project, they hands down refused. They claimed that I was not important enough to even send someone out to do the job since I only needed one more gutter. From my experience as a contractor, you always help your previous customers. It is because of them you are in business today. Apparently they don't teach that to the new contractors and especially their newly hired receptionists. I wouldn't waste your time to even bother calling them.

I had called and left messages at 3 gutter companies. Northern Exteriors was the only one that got back with me. Roberto, the project manager for my job, called the next day. His customer service is fantastic. He is extremely professional, yet friendly and easy to talk to. The job was done quickly and came in under what I thought the cost would be. This company is no fly-by-night company. I would definitely use Roberto and Northern Exteriors in the future.

These guys have been great from the beginning, courteous, knowledgeable in product, and was virtually a one stop shop. Not only did the do an amazing job with the siding project, but they were able to show me a 3D image of my house before we even started. Made me feel extremely comfortable and I finally got to see and realize what I had imagined my home would look like. The time and effort they put to take care of me was great. Thank you all.

Northern Exteriors completely redid the siding on my house, along with necessary gutter repairs. They not only did a great job on the work, but they worked well with the insurance company. We had bids from 7 other companies. They were the least expensive and they were the only business who stepped up and helped us get it covered through insurance. They are a bunch of energetic guys who are eager to get things done right. They noticed when mistakes were made before I did. They would let me know and then it was corrected. I loved their honesty and hard work.

We hired Northern Exteriors to replace our aging wooden soffit and fascia with aluminum as well as replacing the gutters. We are so happy with the results! Our home required a lot of custom metal bending, and the Norther Exteriors guys did a fantastic job with everything. Sam and Kelcee were great to work with and we’re really good about explaining what to expect and what was or wasn’t realistic. Communication was amazing. We decided to go with them specifically because when they did the estimate, it was very clear that they really had a good understanding of what they were talking about and were able to give specifics and examples. We always felt like a priority, which means A LOT. The crew was on time each day and were super respectful of property. They cleaned up at the end of each day and then set up again each morning. The cleanup for the job was flawless - they picked up every single scrap, screw, and nail.
I 100% recommend them!

Being a real estate agent, its really important to have a company that does what they say they will do and more for my buyers and sellers. Working with this company was very easy. They replaced my roof after the windstorm damaged it. I didn’t have to deal with insurance. They took care of everything. Very professional and on time! I would totally recommend!

I had Northern Gutters install additional gutters on my house. I was worried if I'd even find someone to do it because it was a smaller job and a lot of companies won't take them. NG didn't even blink. They were great at communicating with me about scheduling a bid as well as the job. They were extremely pleasant and professional to deal with. The price the gave me on the bid was also drastically lower than another one I got. When they installed them, they left no mess behind and even went as far as cleaning the gutters I already had on my house as a courtesy. Most definitely would recommend them!!!

Northern Gutters did a wonderful job cleaning my gutters. They also beautifully hid electrical work from an A/C unit and mini split we had installed by covering it with downspout material. I appreciate their timely manner. They were on time, worked quickly and performed with top quality from bidding the job to completing it. Thank you so much :-)
