John is a very knowledgeable siding repairman. Very professional, respectful of your property, treats it like his own. We needed his help on several different problems and he came right over to our home, offering expert advice. Fixed a problem that a raccoon messed up trying to get In our home, very difficult spot to work but he got it fixed in no time. Highly recommend him.

I cannot recommend John enough. We have A LOT of gutters and trees around our roof. I called around for quotes on guards and John responded right away. He came out the next day to give me a quote which was very fair. He communicated with me every step of the way and made excellent recommendations as far as color, placement, etc. His work was impeccable. While he was installing the guards he noticed some of our siding was rotted around our chimney. While he wasn't able to repair it right away because he had other jobs lined up (which I completely understood), he sealed it with waterproof tape to prevent it from getting worse until repairs were done. He came out in the freezing cold to do the repair. He still took his time to make sure the job was done right, even though it was in the 20's. I will recommend John to everyone I know and we will definitely work with him again if the need arises.

I had some siding fall off my house and John was who I chose to go with. He was personal and respectful. He shared with me step by step how he was going to fix it and that is peace of mind. He gave me a quote on some other jobs and I will be contacting him when I'm ready for those. Great work all around.

We found Northern Exteriors on line. We had several quotes on the garage siding and he was the most reasonable and seemed to be very knowledgeable. His final product was done impeccably. He was on time starting. Finished in time and cleaned up thoroughly. He sided, put in the double doors and gutters. We were so impressed I have him adding shutters and recasing my windows. I have John on speed dial for all of my outdoor needs. HIGHLY recommended.

We needed some siding replaced and others were taking weeks just to come quote. John was able to quote based on pictures and was very reasonable. He accommodated our short time frame to complete the job and drove an hour to us after his full day of work on another job site. John was an amazing person to do business with. He answered his phone and the next day he was out to my house and did an estimate. The price was incredible. After talking to John, I knew he was the right person for the job. John was very intelligent, personable and polite.
John told me he would be at my house to start the job at 7:00 am. He was there at 7:00 am sharp, ready to go.
My family and I grilled some brats and we asked him to join us. He did and lunch was great. He ate and went right back to working.
The job John did was absolutely perfect. He cleaned up the mess from working and even had a little blower to blow away the dust and dirt. John helped us replace vinyl siding after having a second floor deck removed and converting a sliding door to a window. It was quite a large repair with some complex challenges; John handled these with ease. He got it done quick, in a safe manner, and made us feel comfortable with his work by walking us through the process. To top it off the finished product looks way better than was expected. He even helped my kids and me with a completely unrelated activity when he saw us struggling.

John (owner) and Adam replaced the cedar lap siding with prefinished LP Smart siding on the gable end wall of my 2-story house. They showed up on the scheduled date, worked full days, worked every day until completion, kept a clean and orderly jobsite, and were conscientious in their workmanship. They were also receptive too any and all questions and concerns that I had. They utilized a pump jack system that I believe will yield a much higher quality finished product than someone attempting to do this project with ladders, ladder jacks, and planks. What more could you ask for?

I called him yesterday, sent him photos of the damage to the siding, and he provided a reasonable estimate within minutes of receiving my photographs. I was pleasantly surprised he agreed to do such a small job (because no one else I called wanted to assist me because it was a small repair job), but he was going to be in my area of Chicago today anyways and came to my house right afterward. Responsive and fast to diagnose the problem and plan to come out! Had a missing vent cover on an exterior wall, and they had reasonable pricing and quickly got set up and got it fixed.

John was absolutely great! I am a real estate agent in the city and needed siding done on a townhouse up north in Fox Lake. My contacts did not want to go that far so it was fantastic that John was there for an estimate AND completed the work within 24 hours of the call. I would highly reccomend!

I called John for a quote on Wednesday. He showed up the NEXT day for the quote and performed the siding replacement/repair on Monday. His price was very fair and he did an excellent job. After removing the old siding he discovered some wood underneath that needed replacing, so the job was more extensive than anticipated. He worked very steadily and got everything done quickly. He fixed what was poor workmanship when the house was built, so we should not have the problem again. He did everything that was promised, and more. He left the work area outside spotless. I got a quote from another very well-known company and it took them 7 weeks just to show up for the quote, was going to be significantly more expensive, and it would be a month before they could do the 1-day job. I would highly recommend Northern Exteriors. John explains the situation and work to be performed well, and is a very congenial person.
