We hired Sebastian from Lake County Handyman to tear down our old deck and build a slightly larger deck. He did a fantastic job and we highly recommend him. He is conscientious, honest, and does excellent work. He often sought out the city inspector to make sure the work he was doing was satisfactory, and he spent extra time with him to learn additional information. The inspector was just here for his final inspection (we passed!) and told me Sebastian had been a great guy to work with not only because he did quality work, but because he wanted to learn and accept more effective ways of doing things. We had water damage and mold caused by a leaking shut off valve behind the wall of our finished basement. After the mold remediation was complete I needed to find a company to replace over half a room of the drywall, plaster the joints, sand and repaint the room. We interviewed four companies and received four estimates. We selected Lake County Handyman, LLC. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive. The reason we selected them was Sebastian, the second he entered the house he took ownership of my problem, showed genuine concern, provided me with options and listened to what I had to say.

On the day they started the job Sebastian and his team arrived five minutes early, something you don’t see anymore. They went right to work. By the end of the first day they had all the dry wall hung, seams taped and plastered. The second day they sanded, primed and painted. Before leaving they cleaned up the entire area.

The entire time they were here they worked quietly, efficiently and quickly. No yelling, no loud music like I had experienced with other contractors in the past.

We had a ceiling that was sagging between joists. Sebastian and his team raised and reattached the ceiling to the joists. They also skimmed coated the ceiling. They did a beautiful job. They also attached hangars on joists in the basement. We would definitely hire them again In the future.

Great experience with Lake County Handyman! Most of my communication was via SMS (easiest for me). Sebastian responded quickly & was friendly and easy to work with. They arrived promptly at my home, were professional & thoughtful about the work. We had a leak that previous Plummer could not find and fixed it. We hired Lake County Handyman to do general repairs in our home. We gave Sebastian a list of what we wanted done and he came back with a fair estimate. A few days later he and his helper arrived to do the work. To our pleasant surprise they completed all of the work in one day! I called lake County Handyman in total desperation having spent weeks trying to find a handyman that would even answer their phone or email. If only I had called them first, I could have saved myself weeks of frustration. Sebastian emailed me back within 3 hours. Then he called and set up a date for an estimate within two days of my call. Sebastian showed up exactly when he said he would for the estimate. So when that shock wore off, the next issue was how reliable and how good is Lake County Handyman? The answer is very reliable and the work was outstanding. I had a large garage ceiling panel that had gotten wet years ago from a leak and beginning to literally fall down. The leak had been fixed long ago, but the drywall was a heavily damaged. He treated mold, replaced the installation and drywall, primed it and now it looks like new. Sebastian and his crew were very thorough making sure there were no other issues. I had a list of about 4 interior needs as well. All was completed within 2 days. I could not be happier with the work that was done. Reliable, professional, a great team to work with. Sebastian, always with a ready smile to help you. It doesn’t get better than this. Sebastian and his father helped to remove an outside Rolling shutter that was no longer working because if came off the house. Part of the siding had been damaged along with electrical.

We had our master bathroom remodeled and they had all kinds of suggestions and explained things, like what would work together and why, which really helps make creative decisions!!! I contacted Lake County Handyman back in November 2021. I spoke to the Owner, Sebastian, and explained the work I needed. Sebastian told me he would be out the next day and he was. I had only lived in the house for about a month and I needed to have flashing boots on the roof patched and the stairs and platform from my house to my garage reconfigured and shortened. Sebastian sent me a written estimate, via e-mail, and I accepted. Even though it was late in the year and he was quite busy, he managed to get the job done rather quickly. Sebastian's father did the work and I can say it was all quite professional, he did a great job and the work was completed in about 4 hours. Sebastian, his dad and crew really know what they are doing and the work is great.

Sebastian & his two helpers did an excellent job painting our water-damaged bedroom ceiling, installing a bathroom fan and connecting our two bathroom fans directly to vents in the roof. They were not only very efficient but also pleasant to deal with.

Absolute best experience working with Sebastian and his team! After many months of looking for a quality handyman, we were finally successful. We needed quite a few things completed such as an over the range microwave installed and new pre-hung doors. Everything was explained thoroughly from beginning to end and pricing was very fair. Definitely will be working with them again in the future!

I contacted Lake County Handyman about replacing an external garage side entry door with rot at the bottom of the frame. Sebastian came over within a couple of days and gave me a fair estimate to install a door that I had already purchased. Within a couple of weeks the job was done. Adam was the installer and he did a good job, about a 6 hour project. He cleaned up after himself and left the area spotless. I heartily recommend Lake County Handyman. This was our first time hiring a handyman service. We had an amazing experience working with Sebastian. He returned our call very quickly and set up a time to meet with us within a few days. He was punctual and very professional as we discussed tiling our kitchen backsplash. We received our quote within 6 days. We did get several estimates, his quote was in the middle of the quotes we received. We choose Lake County Handyman LLC because of Sebastian’s willingness to listen to us and his very prompt response to our questions. Once we signed off on our proposal our project was started within two weeks, as promised. They showed up right on time to start the project. We were very pleased with the care that was taken covering our floors and countertops. There was an issue with our cabinets being uneven, they took the time to inform us and explain the best way to deal with the problem. It looked perfect when they finished.
We cannot stress enough how professional they were during the entire project. Once the tiling was completed we were asked to look it over to make sure we were satisfied with work. The tile looked amazing!

February 2021:
We were so pleased with our kitchen work, we decided to get a quote for a shower to tub conversion and complete master bathroom.
Sebastian came over to look over the project and gave us a quote in a few days. Per our request the project was broken down into three phases. We were going to do one phase now, one in the summer and one in the fall.
We were so pleased to see the care that was taken with our carpeting leading up to the master bath along with covering everything that was not being worked on.
The crew was always punctual and very pleasant, and Sebastian touched base and or stopped by every day.
We could not believe how quickly the project proceeded. Our modular shower tub was now history. Every step of the project was discussed and explained. Spoils were removed daily.
The new tiled shower looked amazing, we were very impressed with all the work. They even made a special shelf in the niche for our shower products.
The completed shower was more beautiful than we imagined. At this point we decided to complete phases two and three. The project proceeded just as quickly as phase one. The crew actually got our new vanity upstairs. It weighed over three hundred pounds!!! Again every step of the project was explained and discussed. Phase two and three took a little over a week.
Our master bath looked like one on HGTV!!
Sebastian checked in every day, if we had any questions we just called or texted him.
He and the crew even took the time to greet our dog every day, she loved it.

I contacted Sebastian about a kitchen sink cabinet repair and replacing the sink drain plumbing, replacing all the deck boards on a back porch as well as replacing about 12 custom-cut balusters. I had the quote the next day and we scheduled the work.
He did not include materials in his quote so I checked material prices and, in the end, came close to what Sebastian charged.
He finished the work over 3 days.
His work is wonderfully meticulous. His carpentry skills are amazing. The custom-cut balusters are beautiful - each one carefully cut.
Sebastian does really amazing work. He is congenial, attentive and easy to work with. Once we worked out the details, I trusted him to complete the job - which he did, beautifully. He even cleaned up so well, there were no scraps or wood chips lying about and not even any saw dust.
