Newport Ace Hardware and Outdoor

Aces the place. And it is certainly the place on the Oregon coast to go get a a tool, and not bold screw fishing rod hunting rifle gardening products or any number of things you could ever want.

They don't have a Home Depot on the Oregon coast as far as I know but Ace Hardware has just about anything you would want from a hardware store and much much more.

They didn't have the little heater I was looking for and the guy didn't even know what I was talking about. Went to the Ace hardware in Lincoln City and they had the heater I wanted. I like to support Ace hardware!

Does anyone remember the day when the commercial Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man well at this particular independently owned franchise does not believe in that if you’re looking for nuts and bolts, they could help you out any I bought a pressure washer that was faulty was sold over the phone. I could return it. I get there and that was not the truth. They will not stand behind what they sell and their policy is no returns. No exchange.
I will be reaching out to Ace Hardware corporate as I feel the ace hardware name is being blemished by this particular franchisee

Nicely laid out, lots of Ace style hardware inventory in supply. Very decent fishing/hunting stock on hand, plenty of home and yard supplies to browse through. Also the usual Ace Hardware coupons for specials to be had. The store personnel very pleasant.

I shop Ace for my needs for business and home, after the needs are met it's fun to walk around and shop. Lots of goodies.

Hello all my wonderful neighbors of Newport Oregon and to all of the visitors of our wonderful and unique little city. I am here today to give a shout out to the crew at our local Ace hardware. If you want good service, good paint, good hardware, anything you need to build anything you want go down to the Ace hardware here in Newport they are fabulous. I need to give a special shout out to my girl Em who was our cashier today and she was fabulous, fast, courteous, friendly, and she even grab some pennies out of the jar for me because I didn't have any change on me, bless her heart she was so sweet. All right y'all I'm done running my trap go to Ace for real they're awesome.

Everything you should expect in small town, very friendly staff and Everything thing you could ask for and probably more! Definitely recommended

Updated review. I found myself in another town and ran into an Ace Hardware store to buy something I needed and when I found out it wasn't the right item, I went back and they had closed earlier. I figured oh well no worries as I could return it in my town the next day. I went in to the Newport location with the new unopened item and they didn't recognize the Ace receipt I had in my hand. They said they would only give me in store credit but at a 20% discount to what I paid two days earlier. This doesn't seem like the store it used to be. The lesson here is that customer service is something that keeps people coming back to buy more next time. Newport Ace owner, contact me if you want to make it right. Ace is the place in Newport to shop for everything from sporting goods to plumbing, electrical and tools. We got help from Todd to find the perfect new kitchen faucet.

4 years ago I gave this Ace in Newport a five-star rating because of their customer service. However as of 12/31/23, I have changed to a 1 star. The reason is is because I have gone into this Ace hardware 3 times recently after checking online if an item is in stock, to get to the store and it's out of stock. I asked the associate what would of happened if I had ordered it for pickup in 15 mins . They said when arrived, it would not be here. I am all about small businesses, but this is why Harbor Freight is coming to Newport.

Kewl place... Very nice place to go. Sometimes they help you and show you where everything is. Great customer service as well.

Bought some winter sleeves for my outdoor water line and the freeze came the next day. The sleeves worked! So happy!

Couldn't find weather stripping for my RV employees was very unhelpful just showed us what isle it was on but would not help us get the right product the Toledo store employees are more knowledgeable and better customer service

Always helpful us find stuff. Love how you can order something and can usually pick it the same day. Unlike the Ace Hardware in Waldport they welcome my ESA (Emotional Support Animal) and don't make me feel uncomfortable. I now only shop at Ace Hardware in Newport.

The staff at Ace Hardware in Newport is why I'll keep going back. I was in the middle of a project and realized something I needed was missing. On a tight schedule, I ran to Ace at the last minute. Mike helped me. He quickly determined what I needed and had it in front of me within minutes. In no time, I was heading back on the road to project completion. There are other options in Newport, but I like Ace because of employees like Mike that know their stuff and are genuinely interested in helping.

I bought a $37 dollar hedge trimmer from this place but when I went to use it I realized it didn’t open far enough to trim a hedge properly. When I went to swap it out for a different one I was treated quite harshly and rudely. I was so incensed at the disrespectful treatment that I left the trimmer with them along with a note for the manager.. despite being denied a refund. They assured me that they didn’t want my business! Amazingly cocky and rude!

Newport Ace Hardware rocks! I had to do an exchange on some paint and Rhonda helped me she was fabulous they are so helpful there they have wonderful customer service and you shouldn't go anywhere else if you need Hardware or paint or anything for your house go to Ace Hardware in Newport!

Absolutely LOVE this store! All of the staff are knowledgeable about their products. If you get a sales rep. that doesn't know the product they will get somebody that does. Never been disappointed with them.

Zero stars. Bought a defective sliding screen door from a different Ace Hardware and this Ace refused to take the product back even though online return policy states you can take products back to any Ace. Very poor customer service!!! Never going to shop here! Ace cost me $70 and scratches inside my car trying to return the product. Horrible experience!!

Great place made excellent by Aaron and Ben. Customer service was outstanding. Trying to find the correct brass fittings for a LP gas appliance is always tough, they took the time to make my life easy. Good job!!

I was the first customer in this store when they opened and it used to be a good store with great people. I shopped in the store almost daily in the course of getting supplies for businesses for years. Now I will drive to the Ace in Toledo rather than shop in this store.

I went to the Newport Ace hardware store this morning looking for an unusual hose connector. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the garden department. A woman with long hair in a braid ( I'm so sorry I didn't get your name) asked if she could help me. I showed her the strange part. She looked everywhere on the rack and couldn't find one. What a bummer I thought. Where else around here could I possibly find one. She said she had one more place to look and she would be right back. I waited for about 2 minutes and there she was with the part in her hand. Customer service ISN'T dead. It's at Ace hardware in Newport. Thank you so much, you made my day. Not so much the hose part, but your wonderful service.

Fabulous staff, we drive from Waldport Oregon to Newport Oregon, because the Newport Ace is so great. Thanks for always taking good care of us.

I spend a good amount of time in hardware stores and this one is pretty decent. The staff is getting better. They're kind of expensive though and their clearance rack when you walk in is hilarious to say the least. Hate that they don't accept returns on items if you try them once. (How else can you know?)

The store is kind of crowded with merchandise... The way a hardware store should be. The staff are always ready to help, so don't be afraid to approach them with your needs.

Went in to buy a paint sprayer, paper, tape, drop clothes...all the stuff needed for a big paint job. The catch, I needed MY 5 gallon bucket of paint shaken. Apparently, they only shake paint they sell. They are more than happy to sell you all the things to mix the paint you hauled down to their store...but won't use the paint shaker that is currently not shaking paint, for anyone. Guess I'll go spend hundreds of dollars at Walmart or Sherwin-Williams.

Okey, im seriously sitting in my car right now and just watched this ACE guy carry a Crafsman pressure washer all the way across the parking ( ON HIS BACK!!! ) lot for a customer!! He had a smile the whole time. That's a QUALITY employee right there!!

Theres a lot of opportunities for someone like him out there.

I'm so glad Ace Hardware came to Newport. I get a lot of my supplies here, and they're usually pretty well stocked.
