This company is amazing from first interaction on the estimate to the fabulous result at the end of the work. I could not be happier with the speed, professionalism, ingenuity and competence of the crews. Site management was flawless and the integration of tasks among the 8-man crew that supported the job was seamless. From the first, they protected landscape, set up removal work, identified roof defects and offered solid solutions. My roof had multiple pitches, joins, and skylights, and as the job progressed, it was a ballet of coordinated activity including removing my dilapidated old roof, replacing damaged sheathing, installing the Ice/water guard, adding new roof with all edge trims, installing ridge venting fixtures, sealing flashings on 8 sky lights and the chimney, cleaning the field, towing away trash, and running several magnetic sweeps to pick up nails and other metal bits in the surrounding yard and flower beds.

My neighbor and I own adjacent townhomes in Sterling with “shared roofs”, in other words, there is no division between the 2 roofs. Roofs such as these are best done at the same time, and my neighbor and I decided to use New Sunrise. Juan an crew showed up on time, and his crew did both roofs in 1 day, and they look great! Then, my neighbor on the OTHER side saw what great work they did, and had hers done the next week, at the same time I and my other neighbor got our gutters done by New Sunrise, Juan’s crew did her roof and gutters for 2 townhomes in 1 day again! AND they left the places so clean, you can’t tell they were here except for the beautiful new roofs and gutters! And at a great price!

I am so Happy when I have this company install a new roof for my house. I got the job done in 1 week after I call Juan in for inspection and estimate. Most company make me have to wait for at least 2 weeks after estimate before they install a new roof. The cost is also low compared to the other company. Juan is manager of this company and give me a good deal and get the job done soon. The quality of the job and roof is super great. They do the job very professional and care of customer. I am very happy with the outcome from this contractor. I am very happy and I am sure that I will hire them again if I have to do anything with the roof in future. First let me say that like most folks now, i read the reviews before even calling them. I was surprised by how many 5 star reviews there were. The reviews built up this Juan guy as a roofing/gutter Hero. I had to see for myself.

My job was simple. Add slope and clean out the gutters of the house we recently purchased.

Juan came out on a Sunday morning to give me the quote. He arrived about 20 mins earlier than our 1 hr window. Jumped on the roof and 15 mins later had a quote written up for me. The price was very reasonable given the area/cost of living. We scheduled for a couple days later.

Day of- Juan showed up about 30 mins earlier than the window, and had a crew with him. He let me know they were there and were going to start.

IN LESS THAN 30 MINS!!!, this crew had taken off the gutter, reinstalled it with slope, cleaned out the gutters, cleaned the job site and were done.

I cant remember the last time i was excited to write a review for a company. I cannot recommend them enough. Fast, Professional, Courteous, Reasonably priced. Use them for all your roofing needs!!

I was so impressed by the job that i had him give me a quote for replacing the roof, and we will be using them next spring time to fully replace our roof.

I first scheduled an estimate with Juan, and he met me at a date/time that was convenient to my schedule. When I met Juan, I was instantly impressed with his professionalism and honesty. A real nice, genuine, likable guy.
Juan came out to give an estimate on the roof of our three-story townhouse. We have lived here for 10 years and we are not sure when the roof was last (or ever) replaced (house was built in 1992). We had been experiencing brown spots on our ceiling on the third floor after every rain, so we suspected we needed a new roof. I was especially impressed that Juan actually got up on the roof to inspect our roof and take pictures. This is a BIG deal because no one ever seems to want to get up on our roof (our home inspector said it was too high up, and the other company that came out for an estimate said they did not have a ladder high enough to look that day). But not Juan...he found a good place to prop the ladder and climbed on up there! :)
Juan said he would draft up an estimate and send it to us a couple of days later. We thought his estimate was very reasonable and we booked him to come out a couple of weeks later. Juan's team was very punctual on roof-replacement day. They worked hard all day in order to finish the job (only stopping for a 1 hour lunch). They answered any/all questions during the completion of the work...they had one person dedicated to clearing-up throughout during the day as they did the work... and at the end of the job (this is the kicker!), they spent over an hour clearing all debris around our house and in the townhouse parking lot area as they carefully inspected for any nails (this included using a blower to remove debris). (Our neighbors were IMPRESSED, as they commented on this to us) The New Sunrise team was a tidy, fast, friendly, hardworking crew. The work was completed on schedule and it looks amazing. And I swear it is quieter in our house now when it rains. We will definitely use New Sunrise again for any roofing and gutter needs! Thank you, Juan!!

I called Juan several years ago for an estimate to have shingles put on our roof, a skylight, new gutters, gutter covers and down spouts. He was extremely professional and his price was very reasonable. I informed Juan what gutter covers I wanted based on my review of different ones and he included them in the installation. I was not limited to a specific type of gutter cover. His crew did an amazing job.
Recently, I called Juan to replace a downspout and a window wrap which was damaged from a painting crew at my house. Juan came over and had his crew take care of the problem. They also repaired a piece of siding.

Great experience working with New Sunrise, had an initial meeting with Juan, where he explained the entire process, alternatives, etc. Once we decided on the kind of shingles, Juan provided an estimate. The crew was always on time and the work was performed in a professional manner, even the after work clean up was perfect. Overall great experience, and I would do business with this organization again.

Highly recommend New Sunrise Roofing for roofing needs. The infamous windstorm of March 2018 hit my neighborhood and many others. My roof was only 10 years old, but due to shoddy Builder's Grade quality shingles, I was missing quite a few. Also, they were starting to crack!

It was hard to get vendors out for an estimate, since many were swamped. I ended up getting 3 quotes, New Sunrise included. Juan, the owner, came out to meet with me and provided me a quote. It was the lowest of the three, yet, also I was able to get the extended 25 year warranty thru GAF put on by New Sunrise in my price. That gives me peace of mind...I really don't want to have this huge expense again for a LONG LONG time. The GAF material they recommended w/ a lifetime warranty is excellent material.

Come day of install, rain was forecasted the following day....what would have been a 2-3 day job, ended up being a 13 hour job, as there were lots of workers dispatched out to knock out the job in a day due to the inclement weather.

Roof looks great now and after all the recent rain, it seems like everything is holding up well!

Due yourself a favor and at a minimum, get the free estimate from New Sunrise before you have someone replace your roof. A+++!!!

The crew did a great job for us. They had enough people to finish the job in a day and did an amazing job cleaning up. I thought it would take a week to clear the debris, but there was no evidence they were ever here by the time they left.

I can't be any more satisfied with this company. We had rainy days and they kept me in the loop about when to start. As soon as we had a sunny day, they came early with a big crew and got the work done in one day with high quality. As they were working, they were also doing cleanup and making sure no debris are left in my house or neighbors. At the end, all I saw is the final great product without any dirt or left over mess. Amazing! I am so happy about the new roof which also keeps my room cooler.

Just had our roof done. They were able to schedule us soon after we first called and were quick and thorough the day of the roof replacement. The team put tarps down on our lawn and deck to mitigate mess and even went back to clean things up once the tarps were removed. They did a great job minding our property and made sure nothing got damaged. The new roof looks great.

We experienced damage to our townhome's siding/gutters/roof during a wind storm that occurred a few months ago. It was challenging to contract a vendor to patch up the damage and then schedule the subsequent repairs due to the high demand in the area. New Sunrise Roofing was kind enough to squeeze us in for the temporary patching when no one else could. Once we were all set for the complete siding replacement, they provided us with the most competitive rates and the outcome was exceptional to say the least. The staff was courteous, professional, and worked very well together to arrive to a beautiful, finished product. If we ever needed roof/siding repair/replacement again, we would not hesitate to choose them first. Highly recommend!

If you're looking to have a roof replacement or repair look no further!!! We recently had extensive damage to our roof due to wind storm and the entire roof had to be replaced. Juan and his team from new sunrise roofing were quick to respond to a voicemail and were on site within 24 hrs to give us free estimate and within that same day they were on the roof putting up a tarp until the repair. They soon fit us into their schedule and within a week the roof was replaced. It only took them a day to complete the job. The team is very professional, clean, and extremely skilled. They are also very responsive to phone calls, e-mails and text messages and their pricing is comparable to other companies in the area if not better. After having reached out to over 10 area roofers for same repair, only New sunrise roofing was the one that responded the fastest and delivered such quality work. New Sunrise Roofing is FANTASTIC! We had some storm damage. They came out right away to temporarily protect the roof. Then they got us on the schedule within days to replace the whole roof and a skylight window. The office staff is so friendly and helpful and the crew too. They were professional and cleaned up everything. I'm the third client on the block and another neighbor is having them do their roof too. Thank-you!

In February 2018, New Sunrise Roofing replaced our roof and gutters. Initially, we submitted an online request for a quote and NSR promptly scheduled a time for an estimate. We worked with Mr. Juan Portillo and received a quote on the same day as our scheduled appointment. We decided to replace our old roof with new roof with charcoal GAF HD asphalt tiles that have a 50 year estimated life. Also, we decided to replace our existing gutters and downspouts with 5" gutters and downspouts. The quote we received from Mr. Portillo for all of the work was extremely competitive - by far the best. On the day scheduled for the roof and gutter replacement, the NSR crew arrived promptly at just before 8 am and by 6:30 pm that day our roof had been fully replaced. The workmen were very efficient and extremely thorough in cleaning up during and after the replacement. The following morning, NSR completed the new flashing and replaced our gutters and downspouts. The work was completed by midday. A few days later, Mr. Portillo followed up with an inspection. I am extremely pleased with NSR's work and their reliability. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a roof, gutter and downspout replacement.

The ridge vent on my house was damaged during a recent wind storm. New Sunrise, knowing that more damage could occur if not taken care of, was prompt and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again should I ever have a need to!

Repaired wood siding. We contacted New Sunrise Roofing based on the positive recommendation of a neighbor. Everything was done quickly and efficiently and the quality of their work was excellent. Excellent company for roofing , gutters and siding . have used them for a 30k roof on my house and several of my rental properties. Very responsive and prompt and Juan the owner is a great guy.

We experienced a hail storm in May 2016 that damaged the siding and roofing on our townhouse, we are also an end unit so the damage on the siding was pretty noticeable.
So my online research began and I discovered New Sunrise Roofing. I scheduled a total of three inspections from three different companies including New Sunrise.
Whereas the other companies barely did an inspection -New Sunrise was very professional and thorough.I was able to express all of my concerns and I felt like they actually listened carefully to what we needed and were more concerned with customer satisfaction. In the end New Sunrise produced the best quote so we decided to go with them.
From start to finish they worked with us to get the job done. From color selection of the siding and roof to working to submit all of the documentation the insurance company requested in a timely manner they did it all!
When the actual work got started they were amazing. Juan the owner estimated it would take possibly a week to complete, it took 3 days! The crew was punctual, professional and very thorough in their work. The finished product looks amazing I feel like we have a brand new house. Thank you Juan and New Sunrise Roofing!!

So the back story - moved to Virginia from a very dry, weather free area in California. The siding needed to be changed because it was cracking and falling apart-looked really bad and was a haven for Bats! Nothing wrong with bats, just don't want them living with us.

So got a bunch of estimates from the usual suspects and then got recommended New Sunrise Roofing from a friend. They came in at a very very fair price compared to the others (not the lowest but definitely not the highest) but the job they did was fantastic. I cant comment on the work being done bc we were out of town but when we came back it was like we upgraded to a new house! The man I dealt with the most, Juan, texted me pics throughout the day as they were working on the siding just to ease my mind. I've been screwed before by contractors here in Virginia - that once they get your money all the smiles and scheduling go out the window - Not once did I feel like it here. I am just annoyed I didn't get my roof done by him :(

I will add more to this review in time to describe how the job has held up, service etc. and will adjust rating. So at the time of 5/20/2016 its 5 stars!!

We called New Sunrise and we received a fair estimate for our roof and gutters. We decided to go with them and on March 24th Juan and his Team came around 7AM and by 2PM they were done with the roof replacement. They did an amazing job, they are very professional, experienced and they clean after themselves. We are very pleased with our new roof. I will definitely recommend them.

New Sunrise Roofing just (1/12/16) completed replacement of an asphalt shingle roof for me in Bethesda. As a small builder, I appreciated their professionalism and the fine job they did. The performance was first class, on schedule and without extra charges for this and that. They anticipated every detail and included in the contract. They did an excellent job repairing and replacing our flat roof - deck. Very knowledgeable about flat roofs and problems that flat roofs have.

A roofing company with great service that exceeds your expectations! Dealing with asbestos tile roofing from 1950's was a real pain....We called a few companies to see if they would do both jobs (asbestos removal and replacing a new roof) Nobody wanted to do it. Juan Portillo stop by to give us a quote and his answer was always "yes, we can do it." Also his price was reasonable. He did the whole job quickly, including the asbestos cleaning! We're so happy with his services and we'll be recommending him to our friends and family. Great job Juan!!

Juan and his team are very professional and thorough. They provided me with a fair estimate and completed the job as expected. After fixing my roof and the area around our skylights, I did notice small gaps that were allowing air to seep in when the wind was blowing really hard. Called New Sunrise to diagnose leak problem in my hall; another contractor has proposed a partial roof rebuild at $2K. New Sunrise spent significant time examining the roof and siding, took pictures, and then told me the problem was with some poorly cut siding and a missing piece of J-channel. Cost to repair well less than half of other estimate; it cured the problem. These are great guys to work with ---- come on time, fair price, and leave the place as clean or cleaner than they found it.

Juan & his company are AWESOME at what they do and that is roof replacement and more. They replaced our entire roof in one day as described and were fast, efficient, and cleaned up great after themselves. I HIGHLY recommend them!
