Much to my surprise I discovered a roof leak. I called Neligan Roofing. Walter Curtis came to my home, provide a very reasonable estimate and did the repair. Thank you Neligan, thank you Walter.

**BUYER BEWARE: Force them to put EVERY detail in the Contract**
Made the mistake of trusting email communications prior to contract signing approving of specific models for a glass slider w/impact glass to be installed, among other elements in the project. Only discovered they unilaterally decided to change the model for a 'better' solution as they were installing it. They keep reiterating to me this solution is 'better'. Kind of hard to see that perspective when its taken them 4 different attempts at installing 1 sliding glass door, and it is still doesn't create a seal from the outside(I can literally STILL see through the track). Considering the owner proudly told me how many hundreds of windows/doors they've installed, facts would suggest they unilaterally decided to stick me with an unserviceable unicorn.

When confronted about the unauthorized substitutions, they dismissed our pre-contract communications and insisted their choice was better - completely ignoring that their actions denied me the opportunity to make informed decisions about my own project, which would have avoided this entire issue. They could not be bothered to simply communicate the change, and now they think I'm the one being unreasonable.

A contractor's expertise should guide their clients, not justify making unilateral decisions about what goes into someone's home. Save yourself the headache and find a contractor who values clear communication, honors their commitments, and respects their clients' right to make informed decisions about their own property.

The process was seamless. I contacted Neligan, an estimator came out and inspected the roof.
I received a detailed quote - everything was spelled out.
I electronically signed the contract.
I received a what to expect document - again everything was spelled out.
I had an onsite job manager - Juan.
As with any project issues will occur - Juan took care of everything.
When the roof was completed to my satisfaction, I received a final invoice and paid on line.

Highly recommend Neligan Construction and Roofing. We used their expertise in gutter installation and were completely satisfied. The whole process was seamless from estimation through installation and payment. We chose to color match our trim and painted brick and the gutters were perfectly placed and almost disappear into the background. These guys did an amazing job on our roof. They started on a Monday and finished mid day on Saturday. They worked hard and long hours to get the job done. Every day prior to finishing work they would clean up the job site before leaving the job. Juan the supervisor was on the job inspecting the job and working every step of the way. Juan was extremely knowledgeable of roof construction and had some ideas that we implemented based on his recommendation that made the roof far superior than the initial design. I had a major leak coming from my roof, they came out and inspected it and put in a temporary fix while they prepared the estimate. I received the estimate 2 days later and signed the contract. They were quick, efficient and professional. They came out within a couple days. And I paid them immediately. I emailed them after to get a quote on fixing the closet and received a response right away. Unfortunately they were on vacation until the 20th, but I am hoping they contact me back for the quote on the closet. The closet is a huge mess, ceiling, wall, and floor.

They did a great job and got our complex roof done in three days with a small army of roofers. Juan was terrific as our site manager, answering all our questions. Arden at the office was immediately responsive during the planning and throughout the project. Thanks!

Neilgan did an amazing job on my roof repair. They went above and beyond in making sure that I was pleased with the job. When they were through, they did a good job of cleaning up the yard, cleaning off the roof and cleaning the gutters and downspout out. They had to replace 2 of the boots on my roof as well and rather than leaving them silver they painted them to match the color of the roof shingles. I have already recommended them to my neighbor since they are planning on getting a new roof soon. Neligan GREAT JOB!

Neligans stands by their warranty. Our roof was replaced by the previous owners. When we had some shingles come off, I called Neligans and asked them to come out and perform an inspection. They came out the same day and followed up with repairs within the week. Prompt and quality service. Very impressed!

Neligan Roofing did my roof first roof repair around 15 years ago. I had several companies come out but none were able to fix the leak in my roof. Brian was able to identify where it was coming from and fix it the same day. Later when we were required to replace that roof because of the insurance company requirement, Brin and his crew came out and replaced it within a few days. They cleaned up each day and didn't leave a mess like other contractors.

We also have had Neligan work on several of our rental homes where he repaired roofs and even replaced a few.

Neligan Roofing installed my roof 14 years ago. It was time for a new roof so I called Brian Neligan again, since I was very happy with the first time around. He was very helpful steering me through the process of getting permits, HOA approvals, and all of the details. On construction day, Juan and his crew arrived on time as scheduled, and completed the job in less than two days. They worked non-stop and did a nice job on the roof, skylights, gutters, etc. They cleaned up nicely after the job was completed, and our home looks great. Neligan's crew came to my home 2 days before hurricane Ian passed by northeastern Florida. They promised to remove my old roof and totally replace it BEFORE the hurricane could do any damage. They started working on Monday morning and by that evening the roof was completely replaced. They removed the old roof, fixed the damaged decking, re-nailed the entire roof decking to meet Florida's new standards, applied water and ice underlayment, then nailed down the shingles on the entire roof. This allowed my roof to meet the wind mitigation rules to be eligible for an insurance discount. To make the deadline the crew worked like a well oiled machine with professionalism. They even completely cleaned up the debris and swept for loose nails around my home. I HIGHLY recommend Neligans for any work needed on your home.

We have called upon Neligan Construction for their services twice this past summer for our house. For the first service call Ronnie and Mitch completed some repairs and additional waterproofing to our balcony and pergola. They were very knowledgeable, professional and completed the service in timely manner as proposed. For the second service call I spoke to John and explained to him about a small water ponding issue we were having on our deck and inquired into how we can resolve the issue. John took the time to explain to me the process that I can do myself to save some money and even told me the product to use to self-level and provide enhanced waterproofing to the area. I was able to complete the job myself and it has resolved the issue we were experiencing. We appreciate the quality of work and advice from Neligan Construction and will call upon them again if we ever need their services in the future.

Had some shingles come off during hurricane Ian . I Called these guys next day and John was at my house within hours to assess the damage. He put a temporary covering on while he was here so the roof wouldn’t leak, permanent repair within the next two weeks. Very professional , polite And reasonable. I would highly recommend this company .

At the present time, we have not agreed on this roof project. Our roof consultant, John was very knowledgeable and helpful. He informed us of the required ventilation upgrades. He also came back on the weekend and completed a temporary repair on a plumbing vent flashing.

Called Neligan and Greg came out on a Saturday and by Tuesday, Jason and Antonio addressed soffit and fascia repair needed on our house. They were professional, courteous, and did great work. Will definitely call Neligan for our future needs.

I can't say enough great things about Neligan. First a full crew for the roof and chimney who worked tirelessly to get it done and then along came Jason & Jimmy for the gutters. So polite in answering questions, explaining the gutter system and how to keep it clean, and showing us how great the gutters looked :-) They did a wonderful job. I highly recommend.

Our realtor recommended Neligan six years ago to install a roof on our new home. They did a beautiful job, so we decided to call them again when we needed new gutters. Every worker at Neligan Roofing was so personable, responsive and knowledgeable. A special shout out to Stephan and Juan for their diligence and attention. The workers did a DOUBLE SHIFT during the rainy season to change our roof that had a leak. They fixed an issue in a roof valley that 2 other companies didn’t touch. I was told, “We aren’t the most expensive or the cheapest. More middle of the road price wise.” Very capable people.

They replaced my roof in 2019 and here recently I had to have them come out to repair my my roof because a tree limb fell and hit my roof they can out the very next day.

Had gutters installed with rain chains and we are very pleased with the end product. Jason and Desiree did an excellent job with the installation.

My husband and I recently used Neligan to install a new roof. They came highly recommended and now I understand why. Nick was great to work with, he walked us through all of our options and was very thorough. When it came time to install the roof Juan and his team arrived on time and were amazing. Stephen was great, when he did the inspection and estimate. No pressure, told us how we could make a minor repair ourself and expressed that we might be able to get a few more years out of our roof. Hurricane season was almost here, and I did not want to wait as our original roof was probably not up to.another bad storm.

The thing is, I liked the honesty and integrity of him and Neligan. For the last ten years we have had roofers dropping by and saying they could see our roof had been damaged by wind or hail. We had Neligan out years ago and at that time also they had reassured it still had many years left in it.

There’s is a lot of fraud in the roofing industry here in Florida, and it is resulting in homeowners insurance premiums going up due to all the claims that get pushed through. Neligan’s folks are honest, and a company that I know we can trust.

We also needed some repair to the facade around part of the house. So
They had Jason and Desiree come out first. They were very courteous and professional. They made sure my wife was happy with the color match (she was) before they started, and then quickly did a quality replacement of the damaged facade. They make a great team, did great work and left the area spotless.

The next week roofing crew was out. In one day they did the entire job, stripping the old roof and putting our beautiful new roof on. Have already recommended to a friend.

I was in need of a roof repair. The leaking had caused extensive damage within the the roof structure as well as some interior damage (within a part of the home). I had a couple of estimates but did not have the confidence in the plan for the repair.

I called to have Neligan estimate the job. I had a good meeting and discussion about the repairs. The discussion was thorough and there were items noted regarding the roof that no other estimate noted yet were important to correct.

The job was started earlier than originally scheduled and completed in a timely manner - actually earlier than expected. The roofing team were respectful of the property and left the work area very clean.

The crew were fast, polite, and cleaned up very quickly. Best of all was my estimated and project manager Nick Bilancio . He went over and above board to produce a perfect job . Personable and extremely helpful in addressing any issues , personally overseeing the job from start to finish . I phoned Neligan to have someone come out and take a look at my roof to give me their opinion on if a new roof was needed or if the existing one still had some life.

From initial call to John coming onsite was less than 48 hours. He was extraordinary knowledgeable and honest. John could have easily made the few issues on the roof a big deal and encouraged me to spend money not set aside but he chose to be honest. In addition, he offered up additional recommendations which were very supportive.

I haven't personally used Neligan, but they are at the top of my list when the time comes for me to put on a new roof. Their responsiveness, integrity, and knowledge along with their comprehensive customer package detailing the products, process, and company info is impressive.

I found this company via Angie's List and they have been nothing short of amazing. Ed came out in August to give an estimate for our gutter repair and then Jason and Desiree (sp?) came out today to complete the work. They were extremely friendly and courteous and did a great job. Probably the most solid experience I’ve ever had dealing with a contractor. They showed up when they said they would, on time, worked all day into the evening and finished the job on schedule as promised. Several of my neighbors have hired them since for roof replacements and had similar experiences. The owner even drove by our cul de sac after some bad storms came through to see how our roofs fared in the storm. Not one shingle out of place. Solid solid solid!

Nick initially came and gave me a quote for some minor roofing repairs we needed. He was great - prompt and friendly. Butch from Neligan completed the repairs that were needed on the roof. He did a nice job and was very friendly! I would recommend them to others!

This morning my husband was at the landfill and ran into a bit of trouble while unloading my dumpster. With no hesitation, an employee from Neligan Construction & Roofing came over to assist him. The Neligan team did an outstanding job with our roof replacement. I called many companies for quotes to repair siding. Several wouldn't even come out because it was a smaller job than residing the entire house and referred me to the Great Contractor Hunting Game, which I don't believe is a game you should play with your most valuable possession. Those who did come out for estimates would all say different things, many of those things I was able to verify were blatantly false. One even said I had wood rot on the second story, assuming I didn't have a ladder and wouldn't check it out myself. A few threw out what seemed to be high estimates, because they "do it right". Ultimately, Neligan was the only company who didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. The price was reasonable, communication was excellent, and as far as I can tell, they did it right. Thank you Ed, Heather, Larry, Jason and Desray.

UPDATE: I'm not sure if Neligan can edit their response, but they responded to a critical review so it will probably no longer make sense. We had a "failure to communicate" issue that I take half responsibility for. I do believe Neligan should have been more communicative, but I could have done more as well to seal that gap. Ultimately the roll roofing served its purpose, but did not address all of the issues with the chimney around it (not that it was supposed to) and those issues were not apparent when they came out to do the work. I am not sure whether they should have spotted the issues with how my chimney is waterproofed/flashed, but it seems reasonable that they wouldn't/shouldn't unless I brought a specific leak to their attention. I'd have to be a roofer to say for sure what a roofer should notice as "maybe needs to be fixed". The roll roofing did seem to coincide with a "new" leak, but it looks like (now that my chimney is opened up), the leak had been happening for some time and the roll roofing may have just made it "worse" (redirecting water) in that it was obvious enough for me to notice in heavy rain... so in that way it's good that they put that roll roofing in, otherwise that leak would have continued to slowly rot away at the chimney. That's how I look at it.

The roll roofing is being replaced with aluminum by a roofing company experienced in aluminum porch-roof transitions, which seems to be the superior choice in my case, as there are a lot of pine trees near my house and pine needles tend to gather on the porch roof and could be pushed underneath the roll roofing by wind. Either fix probably would have worked if not for this chimney leaking that involves having to remove everything, including the roll roofing.

If communication/collaboration with Neligan had been better, they likely would have gotten the job that I have this other roofing company doing. That's alright, both companies seem more than qualified to do this work.

My only advice to anyone who's read this far is to be as familiar with potential issues with your home as possible. If I somehow could have known about the chimney leaking, I could have had Neligan address it when they installed the roll roofing. I think the ideal company would do their own inspection and know common chimney failures to be able to say what might be an issue based on things like siding that was recently replaced, siding that may be soft, etc. as a homeowner doesn't necessarily know what to look for.
