I’ve used Home Services by McCue for various projects around my house from plumbing, electrical, A/C, etc. They are always very professional and do a great job, always a pleasure to work with them

I heard great things about McCue services so I arranged for them to come out and assist my parents with some work that needed to be done quickly. They came out very quickly, assessed the damage and made sure it was fixed before the 2 hurricanes just impacted the beach.
I want to thank Mitch McCue for running an honest, reliable, and reasonably priced business helping the people in the community.

My house was actually hit by a car and I was referred to Home Servuces by McCue. This was an insurance claim and McCue was paid a large amount of money to fix my house. I had to have a utility room totally rebuilt, which was where the washer are dryer are in use. This is a very old house and I trusted McCue to make alk the repairs. Once the room was finished I was told the washer and dryer (which were newer ones at this time) were not working correctly. I reached out to McCue and I was told they rebuilt the room exactly as it was before the accident. Well like I said it is a very old house, McCue told me the wiring was cloth wiring and not safe, but this is what was there before?? I think this is very unethical and not right. Had McCue informed me of the bad wiring during the rebuilding I could have reached out to the insurance company again and explained the electrical needed to be rebuilt up to code, but McCue did not, they informed me after the utility room was already finished, I had to get another electrican out there to fix the wiring. Why would a contractor ever do something so unethical and put bad dangerous wiring back in? It should have been done right and up to code the first time. I have reached out many, many times and they do not respond back and the room is still not finished as there needs to be a hole in the wall where the washing machine water goes out and I am connecting to drainfields. There is more to this matter as payments, etc, and they ignored my right to privacy and shared all my information with property manager as they are friends. So McCue got there big check and I am still having to have another contractor out there to help with the washing machine issue. I would never recommend Home Services by McCue, sure Mitch seems like a nice guy, but dishonest

We had Home Services By McCue remove an old fireplace and turn the back wall of our living room into a four-panel sliding glass door to give us access to our new swimming pool (built concurrently but by a different company). They also demo’d our old hardwood floors and installed beautiful new LVP floors.
We were very pleased with the results and the work was accomplished quickly and professionally. All of McCue’s employees and subs went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable (we were living in the home during the renovation) and were happy with the final results.
As with any home renovation, not everything went 100% according to plan and we had several changes along the way. Mitch and his team were honest and fair with the time estimates and pricing along the way.
We plan to call them again for our next project and highly recommend them!

Mitch McCue Services replaced our very old roof quickly and efficiently and did an outstanding job. Everyone on the crew was so nice and helpful. They even continued working when the rain started since they were almost finished and didn't want to delay completion. The driveway and walk were meticulous and cleaned of all debris throughout the process. We were very pleased with the end result!

We hired Home Services by McCue to redo our kitchen. It was a disaster from the beginning: causing a flood in our home, taking much longer than promised/never finished, ruining our original hardwood floors, incorrectly installing countertops, breaking our stove, billing us for work they never performed, and then sending harassing and threatening messages demanding money when we were still waiting for them to complete the project. It was so bad we had to contact the police. They then put a lien on our house and we have been in this legal battle for 2 years.

When we then looked into reviews we found we weren't alone:

- McCue was foreclosed on in 2013
- McCue was sued in 2008 for failing to split the proceeds from a joint venture

Notable update: On Home Services by McCue's facebook, it boasts a BBB of "A+ Rating on BBB for 12 years!," unfortunately when checking BBB they are considered an A- and also are not BBB accredited with a total 3/5 rating. The reason they are not accredited is because there have already been 2 complaints filed against the business that were not resolved.

He states that he had his work inspected and obtained a certificate of occupancy/completion. This is false. He never obtained the correct building permit. BUT, he did charge us for that permit. So, as vehemently as he denies, you're welcome to check public records for the facts.

I recently contacted Home Services by McCue hoping they could repair a metal building damaged in a storm. From my first call to my last email, every person with whom I came into contact was professional, helpful and supportive. Even though they ultimately could not help me, I felt they deserved a 5 star rating for treating me 100% better than the other 29 companies I contacted!! If I need anything else done, they will be my first contact!

I recently had the pleasure of working with McCue Services for my kitchen renovation and I couldn’t be more impressed with their outstanding service. They got an estimate to me faster than any other contractor I had contacted and their pricing was fair and reasonable. I will definitely be recommending McCue to all of my family and friends!

I am not sure what happened to this company. I read all of the positive reviews before we hired them for a home remodel and am now wondering if the reviews were just from friends or family or AI generated. Before you read any further please realize that I have only left a handful of reviews in my life, but felt compelled to leave one for this.

We received a lot of promises from McCue but the quality of the work was VERY poor, the workers hardly ever worked (and hung out in our driveway mostly) with zero over site by McCue, and the best part was that the work took 6 months longer than were we told. We must have exchanged 100 calls and texts in order to actually get this company to do their work, but in the end we are left with a barely functioning HVAC, construction waste everywhere, and uncaulked trim that is hanging sideways (not the look that we were going for).

We were told when we initially started the job that this would be about an 8 week job ("we are over supply chain issues"). After 8 months of hearing about excuses as to why the job was not complete, we were through with them. We were told that the broken new HVAC (that they installed) was going to be replaced. In fact, McCue said that they installed a new unit because the initial new unit that they installed, did not work properly. After checking this out for myself, they in fact did NOT replace the unit as I was told. When I called him out of this, he said that he was then unsure if the unit was actually replaced and needed to check with an employee that he supposedly manages. I believe that this was a deliberate lie.

This company promises way more that it can actually deliver and is very poorly ran. Do yourself a big favor and keep searching for someone else.

McCue provided exceptional service, quickly, when we discovered unexpectedly that we needed a new roof.(Think insurance companies.) We were out of town for much of the planning stages, and it was blissfully easy to work with the McCue office (Jamie, here's looking at you). McCue people listen carefully, and don't require shadow managing. It is a highly professional and knowledgeable group. We found them almost by accident, and will never think of a project without thinking first of McCue. Marina, who managed the roof project, was utterly "hands on", even to double checking for possible "leftovers" after the dumpster was gone. I cannot praise her, and the rest of the group, highly enough. Thank you for making what could have been an unpleasant and uncertain experience very comfortable. And affordable. If you are reading this review, do consider McCue first!

I called with a crazy complicated roof problem and Mitch came over within just a few days and fixed it all like new… it was a terribly tricky spot. I think what impressed me the most is he noticed a couple of other places that also needed a little Help and he mentioned them to me and he went ahead and fixed those too which totally saved me time and money as he would have had to come right back and fix it with the next big storm I am 100 percent certain of that…. I loved his forward thinking and big picture approach. We also talked through a kitchen / family room renovation and he had some terrific ideas I had not considered. Can’t wait to work with him on that as well!!

Had McCue do a gut job on a house I bought....new floors...paint...popcorn ceiling removal...bathroom gut...etc. I have to say we started out with a some major bumps in the road. When Paul and Allison came and saw what was going on, they took the bull by the horns and made everything right! Mitch and his crew did a great job at our house. They rebuilt a second floor balcony, reinforced the bulkhead, replaced windows and a skylight as well as exterior shingles. Mitch was fast and efficient and his pricing was reasonable. Communication was excellent throughout the work. Outstanding service, highly recommend Home Services by McCue!!! We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Even though there were a lot of different projects that we needed done, the estimation was very straightforward and reasonably priced. DO NOT HIRE!! This is my first online review of a company but I want to let others know of our experience. They renovated above our garage and it was a horrible process - the project manager changed many times, work took 3x as long as agreed upon and they DID NOT FINISH THE JOB. They will not return our calls to finish the job or at least give us our money back. I had to file with the BBB.

We called Home Services by McCue and Mitch McCue came out to our home within 24 hours to give us an estimate for our bathroom. He gave us suggestions, but reminded us we need to be happy. While he was here he hung a picture that I was having trouble getting centered on the wall, thank you for the small jobs too Mitch.

We used Home Services by McCue for our roof replacement on our home. Our insurance company dropped us suddenly so we had to move quickly to get a new roof and get a new insurance quote. The team at McCue was top notch from start to finish.

After interviewing four roofing companies, these guys were the best in terms of quality and communication. The pricing was very fair and in line with the other contractors but overall we just felt the team here would do a better job and I'm glad to report that they did.

I spoke with the owner of McCue and his wife. There’s some of the best people you can talk to super friendly very nice. You can tell they really care. I would recommend these people.

First let me just say I started working with Mitch and his team over 6 years ago. When we moved to Ponte Vedra Beach we hired him to do renovations on the house we purchased in TPC sawgrass. His team fixed everything off of a inspection report including roof repair, wood decay repair, HVAC repair, window and door repairs along with electrical and plumbing repairs. They also handled our remodel, replacing tile, replacing baseboards and adding crown molding, painting interior trim and walls, replaced can lights, vent fans and installed 4 rather difficult RH lighting fixtures. His team was always very professional, on time and paid attention to details.
Now fast forward to 2022, time for our family to move. We put our house in contract and the buyers have a home inspection done. After the inspection was finished, the buyers forwarded the inspection report along with an estimate from a contractor requesting we reimburse them for unrealistic repairs. We called Mitch and asked if he would review the estimate and come by and look at the proposed repairs. As always, he made time. He did his research including investigating a balcony the other contractor said needed to be replaced. Long story short, Mitch spent the time to investigate if the structure was sound. He was able to prove with confidence it was, saving us over $70k from the estimate. He is truly a very honest and professional contractor.

I called to get some tile work fixed, Mitch was out here the next day when other services told me it would be weeks. Very personable and professional. Talking to him we came up with a great fix for the issue. He was in and out in minimal time and the price was great. I will call McCue any time I need something fixed that is beyond my capability. He was a pleasure to do business with. His staff was also a pleasure to talk to and unbelievably helpful. It’s nice to know there are stil people and businesses like this

Recently Mitch helped us with numerous house repairs and painting our house. Mitch responded to our initial call and provided an estimate promptly. Shortly thereafter his team was able to start and complete the job. His team had superb attention to detail and did an excellent job for us. Fantastic!!! I have used them in 2 beach homes. Wonderful crew and delivered what they promised. High quality work and on time. They made one condo completely handicap friendly for me. I was a little reluctant before I knew them paying partially up front, but I will never use anyone else in Ponte Vedra.In order to keep a great crew you need to keep the work coming. Great value and great people. Highly recommend.

We used Home Services by McCue to do some remodeling in our new home prior to us moving in. Part of this included building a pergola with corugated roofing material over the porch going out to the backyard pool deck. It was not built correctly in the 1st place and leaked the 1st time it rained. I have been calling and emailing FOR 5 YEARS asking them to please fix it and all I get is lip service. I was hoping for integrity with this company as they were recommended to us and have done work for some of our other family members as well. The owner is "nice" but will not take responsibility for this poor construction thus we have a poorly built, ugly, leaky pergola to deal with. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend.

Our experience was amid Covid-19 when materials had limited availability and by no means their fault. They maintained a professional demeanor and are a very talented group of craftsmen.

The end product is amazing. Our master bedroom and bath are unbelievable. Literally, we tell Alexia to start the shower, adjust the temperature. We can also change jets at the touch of a button.

Would recommend them to anyone needing renovations.

I called here prior to pandemic and owner came out to give me estimate for drywall repair but never sent me estimate. I called recently and asked for estimate. Left message for owner but same thing. No estimate or call back. This company is just a waste of your time.

Mitch has assembled an incredible crew of talented professionals. Dave, Gene and Nancy worked in our home for several weeks replacing shiplap, doors, windows, etc and by the time the job was finished they felt like family. Home Services by McCue was on time and professional they installed 2 vanitys, replaced drywall,installed 2 faucets, replaced and painted t 111 boards plus fixed my fence post.I would definitely would reccomend home Services by McCue.

I give highest recommendation to McCue Pest Control, specifically Doug. I'm a new / 1st time home owner. I bought the house with termite and wood damage which was previously treated. While repairs were underway, spring sprung and a few carpenter ants and termites were spotted around the property. I called McCue on recommendation. Doug was early for our appointment a few days later. He did a very thorough inspection and took time to educate me on the types of critters I was encountering. However, I’m happy to say that over the years McCue home services and their pest service divisions have always done right for my clients as well as my own personal needs. The owner (Mitch) and his personnel take pride in their work and it shows.

Mitch (owner) and his team arrived on time (booked appointment) and were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and got the job done quickly. When you call someone always picks up and is there to help. We reached out to Mitch to fix a leak around our fireplace that had caused significant interior damage. His crew was friendly, professional and went beyond what was expected to repair all the damage. As a listing agent I have had excellent experiences with Home Services by McCue. Very quick at getting out to homes to give quotes and get repair work done in the timeframe needed to stay within contract deadlines. Work is done well and satisfactory for all parties involves.

Had an issue with a front door after a tenant moved out today. Door was sprung and would not latch. Had another tenant coming in this evening. Called Mitch at 4:30 on a Friday evening, He showed up shortly thereafter, gave me a temporary fix that worked great and suggested I change all of the hinges. Will definitely hire him to come back and do the job. Would highly recommend his services!

Contractors/Handymen can be notoriously hard to work with. I have had my fair share. However, I can not be grateful enough for Mitch from McCue. He came to my home in an insanely timely manner and saved me from a horrible home situation. He works generously and treats your home like his home. Other than being just an amazing person, he does an incredible job. I will be forever grateful to him!!! This is the last handyman/contractor you will ever need!!!

A great experience. We cannot say enough about our project manager Dave. He is consistent, efficient, and respectful of our budget, and has a great sense of humor which helps in these circumstances. These guys are the absolute best! They have made my 40-year old house look and feel new again! It's one stop shopping with them! They cleaned and repainted the pool deck, driveway and front walkway. Cleaned and painted the garage and garage floor (which had been treated with pool deck). They repaired sections of the driveway that had collapsed and then repainted it so that it looks brand new. But the real stunner was the new front door! Our old door was just too far gone and could not be opened and closed. They ordered us a BEAUTIFUL, custom made, front door and had it installed and painted in a day! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be able to use our door again! We have been so happy with the quality of work and the responsiveness of Mitch, Dave, Elmer and everyone else. Very professional and quality for the money! These are the people you want working on your home. They'll be back to do more, believe me! They're almost like family, except we don't have to feed them at Thanksgiving!

Mitch and his guys did an amazing job on repairing our bathroom floor! I really appreciate them staying late on a Friday nite to get our bathroom operational and coming back on Saturday morning to finish the job. Thanks again Mitch and please thank the three gentlemen again for me for all the hard work they did.

Clay, went above and beyond to help with an inspection! He had everything to me within 24 hours. He talked with me and is very knowledgeable about what he does!

Done work for me in the past and always helpfull. Was getting my house fixed up with ton of odd jobs to prep for renting. Bathtub fix, grinding down sidewalk lip, repair siding, weatherstripping doors, and painting and sealing front door all finished on time and as promised. Will always call them first if I have a honey do.

Company for all things AC related- they are fast, friendly, affordable, and thorough. Our AC went out this week and within a few hours we had our problems solved. Thanks Mitch for being the Best Family owned business at the BEACH! We won’t ever use anyone else!

Mitch and the team at McCue services are 2nd to none! A/C was out this morning, one call and they had me hooked up by noon! They are always ready to help at what seems like a moments notice. Great customer service and professionalism.

Great experience with McCue Services. Had them come by my elderly mother's place in Atlantic Beach and Mitch was great in understanding her concerns about the magnitude and cost of repairs. He thoroughly inspected a leaking shower issue in upstairs bathroom and identified a problem that two prior plumbing companies missed. Turns out to be a minor plumbing problem compared to the full shower pan & shower remodel recommended/quoted by the other companies (which would not have fixed the problem at all). Great company...one you can trust!

If I ever have any A/C problems, I have and always will make 1 call and that's to Mitch McCue!! He always gets to us in a timely fashion and does an incredible job at the fairest prices in Jacksonville!! People quit getting the run around and over charged by other A/C companies and call McCcue Heat and air!! DROP THE MIC!!

Amazing company! During a busy TPC week Mitch dropped everything to get over to a home in Sawgrass Island to do a repair. I have a corporate group staying their for the week. Professionally and prompt. That’s McCue for another awesome service.

We have several rental properties that we had home services to help with some repairs. We were able to use them for our air-conditioning needs & pest-control & several problems we had with tenant repairs. They were professional and honest.
We have used Other handymen the past but Have had great results with MCCue If they find a problem they are professional and fix it the right way.
We found mold in one repair job.
While several other repair guys just said it was not a problem
McCue did the right thing & we had the mold remediated & repaired even though it delayed things we r glad we had things done right instead of fast !!
