Steve and his crew did a wonderful job on my roof a couple years ago. When I was ready to do my siding I called them back. Steve worked with me to find what fit my budget. Whenever I called he or his office staff promptly responded and answered all my questions. They were here when they said they would be and finished the job on time. I’ve gotten compliments from friends and neighbors on how nice it looks. I highly recommend Nansemond River Roofing and will be calling them back when I’m ready to replace my door.

This was my first total roof replacement and it was fantastic! Communication was excellent, the process was smooth, and my roof looks phenomenal. The crew that came out were hard working, skilled, and great at what they do.

I am very impressed with the level of professionalism from the owner who has been hands on the whole way. From coming to meet in person and setting up everything that needed to be done, to checking the end result. Absolutely a wonderful work crew and got the job done quick, owners daughter was awesome and helped with any issues or questions we had with our insurance to get the job done. We would highly recommend Nansemond River Roofing and Siding. Steve Rocha replaced exterior doors and wrapped all the exterior wood on our home several years ago. We were very happy with the workmanship so after getting three quotes for a roof replacement we chose Nasemond River. Their quote was competitive and the work was outstanding. Steve and/or AJ were on-site the majority of the time and the crew was both efficient and safety conscious.

I don’t leave reviews often but this company deserves to receive one. Honestly I should have left one a few years ago when they did work on our previous home because they did an excellent job on our roof repair and soffit repairs!

We just finish building a new brick home which we subbed out the contractors ourself. Since they had done such a good job last time, we called them back. The owner, Steve, is professional, upfront, and honest. They did our roof, gutters and vinyl wrapped the soffit. Out of all the contractors we had working on our new home, only 2 contractors cleaned up after themselves and Nansemond Roofing was one of them! If you want a good quality job, give them a call, I have only good things to say about their work, the employees that work for them and the overall experience!

With little effort from me. They were able to work directly with my insurance and I was able to have my entire roof replaced. I am happy with the work that was done.

My dealing with NRRS began after my shed caught on fire and damaged the vinyl siding on the back of my house. The insurance company agreed to cover the entire back of the house and I thought everything was good until I found out that the size of my siding (7 inch) was no longer available and 6 1/2 inch siding was the closest available. After having the smaller siding installed, it was obvious that the siding lines would not line up with the remainder of the house. I appealed to the insurance company and they declined to cover the rest of the house since my policy does not guarantee an exact match. NRRS went to bat for me and, after months of dealing with the insurance company, they were able to prove that this was a defect. Bottom line is I had basically given up and NRRS came through for me. I was able to get new siding and shutters for the entire house.

NRRS is a quality company. From the initial meeting to scheduling and performing the work, we were met with honest, credible, and professional owner and staff.
NRRS replaced our aged and damaged roof, replaced siding on our upper level and trim.
Always on time, always cleaning up at the end of each day. To include sweeping the area with a magnet to remove nails.

They were on time, delivered what they promised and we didn't have to call or chase anyone down. Steve Rocha, the project manager, was professional and courteous. He checked in often to ensure his crew was there, they cleaned up and that we were satisified. Their prices were comparable and in some cases less than the other bids received.

The fine folks at Nansemond River Roofing and Siding helped us in a quick and timely manner with replacing a portion of our roof that was causing a room to get water inside. Their team provided a free quote and the process of scheduling them was quick. The receptionist was very kind to answer any and all questions we had, no matter how many times we may have called…. Their team came out and fixed our roof the SAME WEEK that we called to schedule. They made it a point to come out ASAP to prevent the room from getting rained in again since that was our issue. They also provided a LEO discount and we love companies that support our first responders/military! Highly recommend these fine folks.

Did a great job, arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards.....Our roof had been installed by a less than reputable roofer and we were having some major leak problems.
Steve and crew repaired leaking spots and installed a new skylight for us. This should have been at the time the roof was installed. Wasn't!

We could not be more pleased with the service provided by nansemind river roofing and siding. My husband called on a Monday , someone came to look at the damage and we had our roof fixed by Tuesday at 9am! Great customer service and very quick response time and an excellent job! . I had my roof repaired by them in November 2020. It started leaking again in the same spot in Jan of 2021. They promptly came out and fixed it which was great. Their crew who knew I had a dog as they read the signs I have up and asked me if he was inside before going into my back yard left my gate unlatched when they left and my dog got out, injured his leg/knee, and now I'm paying thousands in treatment to get him healthy again. I'm just happy I was able to get him back. When I messaged the company about this their response was "oh my gosh". No apology and no follow up communication. Also I was never sent the photo's of my repair that was promised. Even after reaching out again and asking for them.

UPDATE APRIL 2022: so since they last fixed my roof it started leaking again Monday the 18th. Called them up and asked them to come out. They then came out Friday the 22nd and looked at the roof. They said it wasn't related to their previous work and that it was from my roof vent this time. I said that was fine, and he informed me that he would give me an estimate for it. Keep in mind he also informed me I was out of warranty. Fast forward to today (25th) I ask for the estimate I was told i would get only to be sent "Good afternoon Mr. Martin, my apologies but at this time we are not going to be able to perform that repair job for you. Good luck with your endeavor." So they can take $2500 from me and then when the same leak comes back just wash their hands of it.

The roof repair looks outstanding! Steve and his team have done nothing short of outstanding work. No more water leaks, great clean up, great work period!! I recently had my roof replaced by NRRS. My experience in dealing with the entire staff at NRRS was outstanding. Not only did NRRS helped me work with my insurance to submit the claim, but they also went to bat for me to get the insurance to reopen a previously filed claim and approve the necessary upgrades to bring my roof to code. Everyone at NRRS was professional, pleasant, and were very honest about what is needed and what is not covered through the insurance. They helped me get approved for more than I expected and was able to get my much-needed gutters replaced through their hard work, now my new roof looks terrific.

They show concern for your home, they have the knowledge and expertise to support you through the claim process with your insurance carrier, and the professionalism and skills needed for a quality job. I would recommend NRRS anytime you want to get a quality job.

They came out to put on a temp patch the same day until they could get the proper materials ordered to fix it right at no additional charge. They came back in a timely manor to complete the job with minimal impact to the family (3 month old sleeping)! Outstanding work for a fair price. I highly recommend them!

Just met Steve to get an estimate on a new roof and some other repair work on my 25 year old house. One word comes to mind - EXPERT. Steve clearly knows his business. He knows where the potential problems lie and how to prevent them from happening. He was very detail oriented and I have not doubt that his crew will be the same way in their workmanship. He talked about the roof system, how the different components work together but also on how they will protect my house during a removal and installation process. I am still going to get a few more estimates for comparison but it is hard to imagine giving my business to anyone else. If you want is done right, and I do, I just feels like Nansemond River wold be a great place to go.

I have dealt with many many contractors from kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels to plumbing and by far Nansemond River roofing was the most professional and responsive contractors I have ever dealt with. From the sales presentation to the roof replace they are a 5 star company!!!
It’s a breath of fresh air not having to stress

We met with Steve several times during the sales process. We had lots of questions about replacing the 48 original windows in our 95 year old house. Steve was patient and explained all the options to us. Windows were ordered and about 3 weeks later the installation began. With so many windows it took about a week for the installation to be complete. Steve and his crew were very respectful of the house and yard. I know our project would be challenging due to the age of the house and I am pretty sure not one window was plumb. You’d never know it by how great they look and how well the windows function now. The team cleaned up daily and left the job site looking good. I have to say the caulking was so neat and professional looking. We love our new double hung windows and it is one of the best improvements we’ve made to our house. Robert and Martha

I cannot say enough good thing about Steve and the crew!! After using them last year for a repair job...this year we had a terrible storm which caused some visible damage. Contacted Steve, he came out to look, and advised me we needed to file any insurance claim. The roof had more damage than we realized, and he assisted us with getting the process started. He walked us through the entire process, and they did the complete job in a day and a half! I can not recommend them enough!! You won’t be sorry!

Steve and the entire Nansemond River Roofing and Siding company staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable and experienced not only regarding roofing, but dealing with homeowner’s insurance claims as well. My story: my roof replacement was due to extensive storm damage. I filed a claim with my insurance company. Once I signed with Nansemond River, Steve and his staff communicated directly with the insurance company. The initial adjuster’s estimate for replacement contained “oversights” such as a particular code required upgrade and required services. Steve and his staff immediately recognized the “oversights” and negotiated payment from the insurance company. I would have never known about the “oversights” had it not been for Steve and his staff. They kept us well informed, were prompt in returning telephone calls, and punctual.

With respect to the workmanship and materials, The Nansemond River installation team were very courteous, efficient, meticulous and tidy. The Owens Corning Duration Shingles are first rate and really enhance the look of my house. Thanks to Steve and the Nansemond River Roofing and Siding company staff. Having just moved into my house, I was not prepared to lose shingles from my roof in a wind storm. I called Steve Rocha from Nansemond River Roofing. I also put a claim into my insurance company. Steve came out the next day and evaluated the roof. He said I need to replace the whole thing! He and his insurance expert worked tirelessly to get the most money I could get from the insurance. I have a beautiful new roof , seamless gutters and a 50 year warranty from Owens Corning whose product he uses. I am well satisfied. I highly recommend Steve and his company.

We had a slow leak into the garage, they came out and identified the source of the leak and had it fixed in less than 15 minutes! They even fixed a piece of loose siding that was blowing in the wind while they had the ladder up. Wow, what awesome customer service! I highly recommend these professionals, they know what they're doing and they certainly took care of us. We will be back to do business with them again in the future for all of our roofing and siding needs!

Called nansemond River roofing about an issue I was having with my siding that blew off during the storm they responded very quickly had somebody out there within a 2 days to give me an estimate had somebody out there 2 days later to fix it everything looks great I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for good quality service and response.

I had a leak in my roof and there was upcoming bad weather, they came to our home right away. Placed a temporary fix in place and was back in just a couple of days with the permanent solution in place. The workers are efficient and very friendly. They fixed a couple of extra loose shingles while they were there (without being asked). I'd call that going above and beyond. Fast, good and reasonable price. Will definitely be calling them when we are needing roof replacement in the next couple of years.

We are so pleased with Nansemond River Roofing and Siding. We hired Steve to replace some cedar siding in a few minor locations, which turned into a major structural, window, and siding overhaul. The house had structural damage throughout due to years of water infiltration. Steve and his staff were able to tackle all of the repairs, along with window and siding replacement, as the scope continually increased. The communication regarding the work progress and schedule over the past five months was excellent. This project took that long because there was really that much work to do. The house now looks amazing because the quality was first-rate, and every detail was considered. When we decided to install new siding, we did get estimates that were slightly less, but they essentially wanted to throw up siding and walk away. The quality and service was well worth the small additional fee. The entire time we have lived in our home, we have had water leaking through walls and ceilings during the big storms. We are looking forward to a leak free hurricane season!

Wonderful experience working with Steve at Nanesmond River Roofing & Siding. I had a very difficult roof on a home built in the 1880's that was in bad shape. Steve and his crews took the challenge head on and never looked back. Steve is a hard working, honest and all around great contractor. During our first meeting, which he was on-time to, he went over all the options that were on the table, he noticed that our screen door lock was broken. He had the part ordered immediately and showed up next weekend to fix it for us, no charge. His crews do great work and in a timely fashion. Highly recommend, and have already hired on Steve for one of my other properties.

We have nothing but our highest recommendations for owner Steve Rocha and Nansemond River Siding and Roofing. We had hail damage from earlier in the year. We waited until Spring and began the process of hiring a roofer. I wish Steve had been the first company that we sought an estimate from...it would have saved us a lot of time. The presentation was thorough and professional. The detailed explanation of the Owens Corning system sold us. In the end we ended up with a much better roofing system than we ever had. Steve is very hands on and he will not rest until your project meets his very high personal standards.
