We purchased our new house in November of '23, and as part of the purchase agreement, siding that was falling off would be fixed or replaced. Our Real Estate agent had stated that this company would be the individuals to do the work.

Months went by and via text and calls, appointments were missed that were promised, "Something" always seemed to come up. In March of '24, our contact delivered supposed remorse, and as we were also looking to get a new front door and attic insulation, offered us a "deal" to help compensate for the wait. We agreed - much to our chagrin.

Fast forward to June '24. Pages and pages of texts demonstrating missed appointments and delays. Finally - our siding was installed by a local sub-contractor, almost 8 months after the original agreement was initiated.

Note - as an aside - unknown to us, a family of bats had apparently took up residence between the open siding and our interior garage wall, then moved into the garage proper once the siding blocked off their original exit. Good times.

Still however; no door, no insulation - (Hello electric bill in the summer, pleased to meet you!)- and money invested but work unrealized. Reams of texts continued and in one surrealistic week, the installer essentially promised on five consecutive days that they would be there or one of their sub's would be there "Tomorrow" at 9 or 10 am, only to disappoint. I missed work days in the beginning waiting for them, we missed our kids new friends' birthday party and other events holding out the hope one of those promises would come to fruition. In fact, by this time, we were almost afraid to say "No" to a promised day, such that it might actually happen.

It is now late August, 2024. We asked for a refund recently after a hard conversation with our contact, and are again seeing the same behavior, the same dissembling. "The door was special order and we have to wait for the funds come to us before we can refund you" - Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow they say but it has already been 2 weeks. We are now being told by someone whom states that they, not our original contact, are the business owner and that "we will see our refund on Wednesday 9/4". Oddly enough, but not unsurprisingly, our original contact stated he was the business owner in previous conversations, presented himself as such to mutual acquaintances and is even listed as such in other reviews.

I've seen a few good reviews from across various sites for this company, and I'd like believe that they are genuine. This however does not mitigate nor change our opinion that PJ Construction LLC, based in Royal Oak, Michigan, desperately needs improvements in business administration, scheduling, and customer service. Our frustration with the lack of integrity and follow-through has been both considerable and disheartening.
