I had an outstanding experience with Mungo Homes from start to finish. From the moment we began the process, the team made us feel supported and well-informed. Stephanie, our main point of contact during the initial stages, was absolutely fantastic. She guided us through all the paperwork involved in initiating the build of our new home and made what could have been an overwhelming process feel smooth and manageable. She was always incredibly responsive, professional, and knowledgeable, answering every question we had with patience and clarity.

Once the building process began, Mitch, our builder, took over and continued that high level of service. He was GREAT—truly one of the best parts of the experience. Mitch provided consistent weekly updates on the progress of our home, which helped us feel connected and confident throughout the build. He was always willing to take the time to explain things thoroughly, answer our questions, and provide recommendations and points of contact for additional work we might want to do after closing.

Both Stephanie and Mitch went above and beyond in their roles, and we’re so grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care throughout the process. Thanks to them and the rest of the Mungo Homes team, we’re now in a home we absolutely love. Highly recommend!

Quality of materials is good. Customer service is great. They need to to find better HVAC contractors because Longs worst service is hurting Mungo’s reputation

If you want to live near Spartanburg downtown and easy access to highways Brandon Place is the place to live. Great staff at Mungo , look for Aaron Yant at the sales office , and have peace of mind Alex Papas the builder will take good care of you.

I bought a new Mungo Home in North Carolina in 2024. My primary warranty period expired this week. I'm very pleased with the quality of the home, and the responsiveness of all of the representatives I worked with to resolve assorted punch list items during the warranty period. The sales staff were great, as were the warranty people and the craftspeople that came to my home for any warranty items I wanted addressed. This is not my first new home. The experience I had with Mungo Homes was by far better than my last builder. I would do it again.

If you buy a house from Mongo Homes, just be aware if there are any problems with it even though it is under warranty, no one will help you. The picture includes Mungo employees (making sure) my master shower wasn’t leaking after having two holes around the shower drain. After cutting a hole and looking inside, they said they could not see any water even though they did not bring any servicing equipment. Talking to Mongo Homes Representative Allen Kristy to see when my shower would be fixed and my drywall would be patched she blocked my number. I wish I could leave a better comment, but the actions of the Mongo Homes have left me with no other option. I don’t want anybody else to be screwed over like I was.

Purchased my first home from them recently. Had no clue how things should go or what I needed to do. They were patient with me along the way and addressed concerns as they arose. No building is ever perfect as most things aren't. However, they've shown they'd like to be as close to perfect as possible. That meant a lot to me.

We are very satisfied with our home and the service and care provided by everyone associated with our Mungo home-from the initial viewing to the final walkthrough.

Matt Cooley over building in Boiling Springs area is great. We have since purchased a home with another competitor and would just like to recognize Matt as there is a noticeable difference between his knowledge and professionalism vs another builder project manager. My husband and I both appreciate all Matt did with our new build in Adens Place.

The Mungo team is excellent from initial visitation all the way through the process and after you purchase your new home. I highly recommend getting a Mungo home. As a matter of fact, I recommended to my aunt and uncle and they live two doors down.

Our process purchasing a Mungo Home has been fantastic. Our sales manager Michael and our builder Frank have been nothing short of excellent and we have had no issues.

Not the best, we had problems at closing and the agent was not very helpful due to us not going with their lender, even though it was part her fault since she went on vacation and didn’t leave anyone responsible to answer her calls and emails. The builder was very nice and flexible but didn’t follow through on everything and was not detailed on inspecting our house, for example we had one vent that was closed by drywall for an entire year and we just found out once we had an inspection done. Our master bedroom is very hot, the ac system is not appropriate done to cool the entire house equally. The crow molding was expensive but poorly done.
We have some issues that were here before we move in and we still having to talk to them and push so it is taking care of.

Absolutely atrocious to deal with. Our backyard has had standing water since we moved in in February. Have put multiple warranty tickets in about this issue and I keep getting the “we’ll be out to look at it” yet nothing is done.

Mungo claims the landscapers are liable for fixing this(they hired them in the first place during construction) and the landscapers claim that “mungo has a certain budget that they are willing to put towards each house to fix any issues, and they are not willing to pay for this one and we are not going to pay for us to resolve this issue”. It’s a cat and mouse game.

Where our standing water is, was a retention pond that was dug(by the site work contractor) before the landscapers came. I was informed that when the landscapers came to install the sod(that’s a whole different sh*t show) they proceeded to fill the retention pond in with clay/sand and sod completely over it.

I was contacted by Chris the warranty manager and said that everything was resolved and the landscapers came out to shoot grades last week. Which, is not true at all because I was home all last week, I have security cameras and my office overlooks the backyard. Nobody ever came by. So my warranty claim was closed yet unresolved. Shocker.

Don’t get me wrong, I get that things happen and there will never be a true solution to completely draining my swampy backyard, but to just kick this to the curb is fairly frustrating.

Typical track home/spec home builder who is out here slamming houses in the ground and not wanting to take accountability for their shotty contractors that they hire. Do your due diligence before buying from Mungo. I was warned by multiple people, so shame on me for not listening I guess lol.

I have been pleased with my experience with Mungo Homes, beginning with the New Home representative and thhrough to the end of the process. There have been no surprises, and the representatives and craft specialists have been a great help for me and real assets for their employers.
Yes. I would "do it again." But, darn it, you can only buy a house once in awhile.

We were so excited to own a brand new home in Myrtle Beach and it has not gone well. There are really too many problems to list here but they sell you a bill of goods and don't deliver. We had to spend seven grand on our yard because it had rotted fit to insufficient drainage. They should have put in seven, , they put in two and they were defective. Then, the inside?!?! We have screws that were never mudded and painted and they've been in the house four-five times. Nail pops everywhere. Walls not straight. UGH.

Overall I am very pleased with the home Mungo Homes built for my family and I. The experience from beginning to end went very well. We absolutely love our new home.

We built a mungo home in Lexington SC November 2023 and when it came time for our 11 month warranty inspection, the area between our homes was promised to be fixed by Allen due to standing water and we were told the landscaper was coming up with a plan to fix it and was even notated in our initial closing inspection. They are refusing to fix it and although I have made numerous calls and left messages to corporate regarding this, I have yet to receive a call back. This area continues to be washed out.
The new warranty supervisor Brian stated it was our problem and even went so far as to tell our neighbor that we refused their remedy, which was a total lie. There was no remedy offered. Brian was very rude and unprofessional to my husband. I will not recommend another person to build via mungo due to this.

Our sales person Shauna was great. Helpful, knowledgeable and worked with us. The main construction person David was awesome. No one is perfect and when we found issues he jumped on them quickly and corrected them in a timely fashion and to our satisfaction. He and Shauna represent Mungo Homes well. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great development with lots of home selections that are well built and at a descent price, you need to check our cornwallis landing by Mungo Homes.

Cynthia, Steve, Amber and Michael are Excellent to Work with. Excellent Workmanship and Quality of Materials Used. They All are Always Willing to Amswer Any and All Questions. And are Always willing to help if You Need Anything!

This has been a wonderful process and the people have been great to work with. Matt, Aileen and Shea have been everything we could hope for in helping us get the home of our dreams.

I’m actually shocked at the amount of things I keep discovering are wrong with the house this company built. They cut corners in every way imaginable, even the water heater they put into the house cannot keep up because of its small size. Our door handle to the garage broke off one year into living in the house. From small cosmetic things like doors not fitting frame and not being able to lock them to the electricity breakers constantly going out. Just wow.

Mungo homes build nice quality houses. Customer service is very helpful and nice. The delivery of services is always on point. Although, I wish some things like sod and trees would be covered under warranty, when it’s no fault of the homeowner. But definitely recommend this home builder!
