We were really nervous about picking a team to do our roof. We wanted it done right the first time, and we wanted our yard to be spotless throughout and after the job. We got all of that and more from Mt Baker Roofing. Their team was wonderful from start to finish - great communication; the roof looks great (drone verified); and the yard was absolutely spotless throughout. We can’t recommend them strongly enough!

The crew was wonderful. Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond. Wendy, the crew supervisor was great. She even came out to the house to look at the roof, the work done so far, and to see how we were liking our experience with the company and the crew, the quality of work done. I have nothing but positive things to say about them and about this company.

When they got to the point where half the shingles and sheeting was removed, it was discovered that there was preexisting damage to the trusses which needed to be repaired prior to finishing the other half of the roof. The owner, Mark, called me and let me know. He offered to help me find a second contractor to get out there and fix it. He spent half the day on his phone, calling and texting to get it figured out and was able to find us one quickly. More preexisting damage was found as the roof was worked on and Mt Baker Roofing took care of it for us even though it wasn’t what they were hired for originally.

Our new gutters and new roof are beautiful, really well made, they use excellent products. Excellent customer service and workmanship , very professional, hard working, cleaned up everything really well.

The quote I received was cheaper than the ones I got from other companies too, so I can say they are competitive in price.

Fantastic Job. From estimating through the completion of the project, I couldn't be happier. Despite unforeseen issues, the project was still completed in less than a week. Gerardo, Ulises and the rest of the crew (whose names I unfortunately can't remember) was hard working and professional right down to the last detail (including rinsing their shoes before stepping off the ladder onto the new roof and the gutter crew that did a great job of making a downspout inconspicuous on an exposed log support. ).

Mt. Baker Roofing did an amazing job re-roofing our house and installing new gutters! Roofing is expensive, but they professional, on time and we feel very satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend them.

Mt Baker Roofing really knocked this one out of the park!

Their quote was competitive with other contractors. Particularly interesting, I noticed that for my metal roof the lower price of another contractor's bid scaled directly with the thickness of the material they planned to install. So, although MBR's bid came in a bit higher, there is tangibly and proportionately higher quality to the product they're offering.

Their customer service throughout the process was also stellar.

Jason, who did the initial estimate, took time to really understand what I needed, and iterated on the quote several times. The information in materials he provided was all really helpful in understanding exactly what I was going to get.

Emily, the project manager, was very communicative about scheduling and logistics and kept everything on track throughout. When the skylight didn't fit as expected she put me in touch with a drywall contractor and deducted the cost of that small job from the project invoice.

David and the whole work crew were courteous and professional, and willing to accommodate as unexpected challenges came up during the job. Considering the whole installation happened in on-and-off rain they were really well organized to keep the inside of the house dry and livable throughout the job.

They also went the extra mile to get little details right. Some tricky angles on the sides of the eaves would have been an easy place to cut corners, but they put in the extra effort to make them match the rest of the roof.

This project was obviously extremely important to me and my partner, and a major expense for us personally. Mt Baker Roofing treated it with the same care and attention that I would have. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Really great experience with Mt Baker Roofing. They did great work QUICK at a very reasonable price. Super happy to have found them to redo our roof.

I got bids from 5 companies because it was the biggest expense I've had since owning my home solo. Mt. Baker Roofing exceeded my expectations from the bid to the clean up. (3 failed through the bid phase). They also were the company that understood my steep roof with the huge amounts of water coming down. Plus my frustration with the gutters and how to handle that in a better way than the existing ones. Once I made the decision to go with them, it was a breeze, finished in 4 days and the crew worked through the cold. Quick, easy, no surprises from them at all. I had a steep roof and was worried but then used the safety ropes as they promised. The gutters & guards installation a week later went the same way smooth way! I highly recommend working with them.

We had Mt Baker roofing put on a new Presidential shingle roof with new gutters, and new skylights.
The roof we took off still had 25 years left on it but it wasn’t installed properly so it leaked.

Mt. Baker came out and in a few days everything was new! The crew worked quickly and cleaned up so well you would never know work had been completed.

The roof looks amazing! The color of the shingles looks so nice with the exterior paint. I would highly recommend Mt. Baker!

We are a condominium of 9 units and 3 stories plus a daylight basement garage. Mt Baker Roofing has a group of very hardworking and very productive workers. They were prompt, very polite and did a wonderful clean up after each of their work days. We highly recommend this roofing company and their staff of knowledgeable people.

The crew showed up early and got to work immediately. It seemed like an army on the roof all working hard and getting the shingles off in a coordinated fast pace. We ended up needing sheeting over the entire roof but they took care of that in a day and then started on the new beautiful shingles! These 6-7 men worked very hard and did a professional job in just 3 days! They continually kept our property cleared of debris and protected vulnerable plants. Highly recommend this company!

We just had a new roof put on and the crew was so great! All of them were accommodating and answered all of my questions. They did a terrific job and I highly recommend them!

We honestly didn’t have the same experience that everyone else has with Mt Baker Roofing. We chose them because of their good reputation but in retrospect we wish we’d chosen someone else.

Our roof and gutters look good, but here are some issues we had:

-inconsistent communication. Many days we thought they would show up, but they didn’t.
-When they finally did show up (unexpectedly), it was a day with pouring rain in the forecast. Sure enough, as soon as they tore the old roof off, there as a huge downpour. It cleared up late afternoon and they were able to partially shingle our roof. They left for the night without tarping off the roof.
-That night, it poured rain again and we got an inch of rain in parts of our attic. (We could tell because of an empty storage tote that caught some water, see pic.). They didn’t seem too concerned that our attic and insulation were wet, but we were concerned about mold! After several requests for a dehumidifier, they gave us a bill credit so we could buy our own.
-We found hundreds of nails in our yard, our driveway, and all around our house, as well as shards of sharp metal flashing. (Picture is just a small portion of what we’ve found.) We have kids, so we are worried that there are still more out there. I recommend getting a metal detector or big roller magnet for cleanup if you have kids or pets. We’ve found metal shards far away from the house, meaning they just threw it as far as they could.

I understand that things happen, but it just all around wasn’t the best experience.

Recently had a new roof and gutters installed on our home in Lynden. When I requested an estimate via their website portal, the office contacted me within 2 days for additional details. This was followed up shortly with an onsite evaluation and price quote.

While I was making my decision about colors, I was contacted by the office to see if I had any questions. There was no pressure to make a decision, just a desire to answer any lingering questions I might have.

I was not present during the installation of roof and gutters so I cannot speak about the crew. I can say that the roof looks wonderful and the gutters matched out house color perfectly. The installation looks clean an professional. There was no debris around the growing beds so the crew was just as concerned with making sure that the property was clean after the job.

I did notice some minor damage to the screen on my patio door. When I notified the office I was assured that the damage would be repaired. The repair was also completed and the crew actually improved on the functioning of the door since it was sticking.

The people I dealt with were friendly and efficient (London, Joanna and Wendy). I did not meet the installation crews but their work was excellent. With the recent rains, I detected no issues at all.

I would recommend Mt. Baker Roofing without any reservations. You will not be disappointed.

Addendum: About a month after the work was completed a representative from Mt Baker Roofing arrived and said that he was here to inspect the roof. I went on the roof with him and watched him make the inspection. He answered the couple of questions that I had and gave recommendations for roof maintenance. Another great experience with MBR.

From the time of meeting the estimator (Jason) to the time of the final cleanup (by Hugo and his crew), we had a great experience. The workers were efficient and did their work in a quality manner. Hugo obviously cared about delivering a quality job. And yes, hand nailing is better than pneumatic nail guns.

Their quote was the second lowest that we received, but it was obvious that they were the better company. The only improvement that could be made would be communication with the office. Phone messages were not returned.

All in all, a highly recommended company.

The roof turned out great! The team worked quickly and efficiently. The project leads had excellent communication, which was much appreciated.

If you purchase replacement gutters, be aware that there will be holes left behind by the old gutters, and the new ones don't cover them.

Mt. Baker did a great job on replacing my roof a year ago. Just realized the bathroom vent connection was damaged during the roof replacement. Stood behind their work and have Jesus came to resolve it and also fix an additional problem of water overflowing over the gutter guard at the inner corner of the gutter and it wasn’t their problem to begin after the trouble shooting. Jesus went above and beyond to fix it for me anyway. I would definitely recommend Mt. Baker roofing to deal with your roof. Reasonable pricing and superior job. 5 thumbs up. It is tough to find these service these days.

We are first time home owners and bought our house knowing we would need a new roof. I submitted requests for quotes and heard back from 2 out of the 3 companies.

Jason was extremely thorough in his evaluation, and this ultimately was the deciding factor since the other company was about the same price. We had more confidence in the quote he provided being closest to the actual cost.

For the roof installation, James Brown and the crew did an AMAZING job. I work from home, and outside of the expected roof noise I was able to continue working while the crew came and left very quietly. Most of all- the crew came on a Saturday to complete our roof when a major rainstorm was on the forecast for the next day. I am so appreciative the crew came and finished the work on Saturday- I truly don't know what I would have done with an unfinished roof during a big rainstorm!

I appreciated every aspect of my experience with Mt. Baker Roofing. An estimator came out within a couple days of my initial inquiry and provided a clear quote. We have an older (100-yr old) house and the roof was at least 26 yrs old, so I was anticipating that some extra work might be necessary, and the quote was clear about common extra charges (e.g., replacing sheeting). Isaias and his crew (Perfecto, Cristobal and Tomas) were FANTASTIC! Very efficient, but it was clear that they were doing things the right way and Isaias was very clear with me re: what they found and why and how it should be properly repaired. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciated their approach. They took care to protect our plants, but a little damage to the garden is inevitable and expected. In any event, I am extremely pleased with the job they did and, yes, there was extra work beyond the original quote, but it was all necessary and charged at a fair cost. Angel and his partner (whose name I did not get…apologies!) did a great job installing new gutters and had the whole house done in a few hours. If you need to re-roof an older home that may need repairs in addition to the new roof, I recommend Mt. Baker Roofing.

From start to finish Mt. Baker Roofing was a 10!!! We received the best price and more importantly the best service. My roof and gutters looks awesome. The boards that we had that were rotten and needed replaced were all documented and shown to us. The business office picked up my phone calls and answered all of the questions we had.

I recommend Mt Baker Roofing 1000%! I wish that I had called on them first to replace my roof after trees fell on my roof a year ago in a wind storm. I have had two failed roofs installed over the last year. Unbelievable, I know, but I hired two really bad contractors before I hired Mt. Baker. I am so happy because the roof Mt. Baker installed is PERFECT and I can rest assured knowing I have a great roof to protect my home. They were really kind and patient and helped me work through everything. We had an unusual gutter project where we needed a seamless gutter to capture and drain water from newly installed underdeck metal panels to keep the area under our deck dry. I submitted online requests for bids from three roofing/gutter companies one evening. Mt. Baker Roofing was the only one that included the option to upload a photo - which was helpful to convey the nature of our unusual project. By 8:15a the following morning, I had an informative reply and bid from Mt. Baker Roofing. One of the other companies replied three days later with a bid quote that was twice the price of Mt. Baker Roofing. The third company never responded (project too small for them?). The project manager, Emily, was great via email and phone regarding scheduling the work. Angel and another person arrived to cut and install the gutter. They were working in a torrential downpour and as they started putting the gutter up they noticed that water was wicking backwards from the edge of the metal panels (capillary action) and dripping from the underside of the panels a couple of inches from the panel edge. Some of these drips were completely missing the gutter (the panels should have been a little longer to reach further into the gutter - my bad). We discussed how to remedy the situation and agreed that a new 2 x 6 fascia board should be attached to the beam to push the gutter closer to the house to better capture the water. Angel and his partner took the gutter down and stored it in our backyard. I installed new fascia boards later that day and Angel and his partner returned later that week to install the gutter and downspout. I was in a Zoom meeting when they arrived and didn't even know they had returned to finish the project until after they left. The downspout was a little tricky so I was going to specify what we wanted but they installed it perfectly without any input from me. My experience with Mt. Baker Roofing was very positive and I highly recommend them.

Carlos and his crew of hard working fellows are the best. My roof is very steep and large. They completed the work in three days, through inclement weather. Amazing. I'd hire them again without hesitation.

The Right Stuff
It's not just that Mt Baker Roofing has a solid history of keeping commitments for some 40 years. It's also that they understand the value of keeping qualified, capable, skilled technicians who can get the job done right. An example is the crew working with Gabriél, Sergio and Agustín. It's been very satisfying to see them working together, day after day, in a peaceful, friendly and professional manner. They were safety-conscious, careful and tidy. And, they did an excellent job on our roof. I very highly recommend them.

Jesus - is very concerned with solving the problem. Had a big leak in the roof and he worked to fix it. These guys never give up. Great worker and office team at the Company!

We have a leak some where close to the fireplace that has shown up in the carpet padding and the sub flooring. The flashing is fine and no leak shows in the ceiling. Jesus went into the attic and took some pictures. No leaks. He went on the roof and the flashing is good. He was so helpful explaining one potential problem and sent me a picture. On to a chimney expert. Jesus, as every one I have worked with at Mt Baker Roofing was wonderful. They are our roofing specialists! Nice to know there is a company that responds when needed, even if the leak hasn't been found.

Mt Baker Roofing did a great job re-roofing and installing new gutters on our house. The crew were friendly, hard working, and very professional.

We have had MBR do two roof replacements for us. Both times they did an excellent job. This last time they were flexible with our schedule when we needed to push out the install. They kept us aprised of the progress and their crew was a pleasure to have on our yard.

As a Property Management company, roofers are not always eager to work with us. Mt. Baker Roofing has done 7 buildings for us and has repeatedly done the job right and on time. From the office staff to the crews on site, they are quick to respond to challenges and finish with a happy customer. We will continue to use them in the future.

Mt Baker Roofing gave me a detailed bid for work to be accomplished, with the caveat that if OSB needed to be replaced, it would be an additional expense. Once the roofing was removed, additional damage was discovered and replaced. They did an excellent job with the roofing and gutters - it looks great!

I had my roof replaced and gutters are on their way. The team that replaced my roof was amazing! There was a small misunderstanding about what OSB I needed replaced but the team was extremely easy to work with. They even helped solve an attic venting issue while on site. Can’t say how pleased we are with our new roof and how great the crew was.

We had a new roof put on by them last summer and it went very smoothly and the crew did a great job. It was super easy to get ahold of someone in the office when we needed them.

Great crew, Steve is thorough at wxplaining process. Our cost was two THOUSAND dollars less than the bids of two competitors. They also fixed a part where sub-roof had rotted, and a board that was broken. Their gutter team had all of ours replaced quickly - it looks like a new house!
