Hired Mr Handyman to completely rebuild large deck that was falling apart. The final result of this project was well beyond my expectations. Jesse and James were 2 of the most talented and hardworking people I’ve ever had do work for me. I will be using them for all my upcoming projects without hesitation. I also want to give a shout out to Cody in the office he was very professional and very knowledgeable and helpful whenever I had any questions.

Called late in afternoon. Closet door fell off track and the part that held it up fell off. James came over to fix it the same evening after he just had got off work Great job, great service!! Thanks to James and also Cody for helping me.

I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, enough to know the difference between the good ones and the bad. These guys were great and they will be my go-to from now on. I love it when I finally find the right fit in a great company that I can truly trust. I had two completely different medium-sized projects for them so I'm thankful I made the right choice. They turned out to be helpful, fast, efficient, conscientious, neat, respectful and the work was top notch, not to mention the initial estimate for both jobs was right on the money.

Working with the Mr. Handyman crew (Cory, James, and Jesse) was fantastic. I made an inquiry online and got a call back right away. Cory was great to talk to about scheduling and he answered all my questions on the process. James was sent out to get the details needed to give me a quote to retrofit a dishwasher into the kitchen cabinetry, which was a pretty big job in our old kitchen. James - and also Jesse, who helped complete the work - are both excellent at what they do. I found everyone to be extremely knowledgeable and the entire process was stress free and done with excellent results. I was truly impressed and am looking forward to working with them again - will definitely be calling for future projects!

Jesse and James saved me from my error..helping me purc h ase and carry the correct door home. They were careful to fit the door correctly and cleaned up carefully. I have used this service numerous times. I trust them and would recommend them to anyone.

Handyman James was punctual, efficient and personable. He removed our old garage ceiling fans in an effective and timely manner. Great service. No surprises.

Jesse did great work on my French doors. I needed special weatherstripping which he found and installed for me. He also adjusted my doors which needed a special tool and lots of patience.

Jesse replaced floorboards that were chewed up from 3 years ago when my dog was a pup. You can’t tell there was ever a problem! He also got the louvre doors to my washer and dryer back on track, yay! It only took a few hours and so worth the fee. I’m so glad we have Mr Handyman as an ECAR Affiliate!

My experience with Handyman was awesome !! From scheduling to the work done was top shelf...Jessie was friendly..clean and efficient... above and beyond the call of duty...I highly recommend and will be using this agency again in the near future. I just completed a walk-thru with Jesse for an estimate of my desired work. He was patient, attentive to the highlighted areas, and knowledgeable enough about those areas to explain the problem(s) to me and gain my trust. Jesse did not come with a salesman mentality. Rather, he took the time to help me understand what would need to be done and why. He also gave clarity about the company’s services and how they work together, so that I am looking forward to giving Mr. Handyman a try at addressing my needs. Recently moved into a newish home in Norwich CT from out of state. Bought the property sight unseen so we were expecting a few "situations" to pop up. 3 months post move-in, we discovered termites working their way through the framework around an exterior garage door. Jesse came over to assess the damage and then advise. Extremely prompt. Extremely courteous and professional. He worked alongside us to come up with a plan to replace the door. Established a budget with us. Worked through every conceivable angle to overcome the termite problem, and he even advised how to flex the budget where it might extend us too far. We pulled materials, and he was back within the week. New door installed within hours. Tight; well built. Complete improvement to the entryway ... AND used synthetic materials over wood. Area around entry cleaned and cleared. All detritus hauled away. Jesse (and Mr. Handyman - (as Cody was also very considerate and prompt with scheduling)) truly went above and beyond installing solid product and helping overcome all issues.

James was fantastic. professional and skillful from start to finish. The process was seamless and knocking out our list in one session saved us time and frustration. Use Mr. Handyman of Norwich if you have a list of miscellaneous to do's. It's worth it.

Outstanding service from start to finish. I wish all home maintenance services were run this well. They set the bar pretty high and in the future they are our first call. We had a large decorative mirror hung in our dining room. Our technician, Jesse had the expertise and equipment to handle the installation. Could not be happier. Why take chances with other outfits? Exceptionally well-run biz and Jesse & James are absolutely top-notch...very personable, and they know more about your project than you do (or I did!). Reliable, can-do dudes who can do just about anything and are very patient with seniors. Veritable godsends!

I will definitely be using this company in the future for other home improvement needs that arise.
For some background, I have an older home (early 1960's) and the doors that came with the house were warped, hollow-core, inefficient and ugly. Trying to replace them has been a chore. Mr. Handyman is the 3rd company we have tried this year, 6th that we have tried since we bought the house, with each contractor identifying more and more reasons that they did not want to replace the doors or how complicated it would be to replace them. Earlier this year we purchased new doors with one contractor who dropped out, and upon finding a new contractor they advised us that the threshold for each door needed to be a custom depth because the original doors were much deeper than a standard size today (which was not communicated by the other contractors.) After telling us how we could still use the doors we had, that contractor suddenly became difficult to pin down to schedule the work to be completed. Enter Mr. Handyman. Their website was very easy to use, I was able to request a quote for exterior door installation and the office manager called me the same day. I explained my situation, she told me she had someone who could take care of the job and about how many hours it could take, and we got the work scheduled to be completed.
Jesse was the "handyman" assigned to my work, and he was very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. While Jesse could see that this would not be a quick task, he was up for the challenge and completed the work in fairly close to the agreed upon amount of time. He spent two days here, one day he was assisted by his colleague James (who was also very professional) and the second day on his own. Our back door and storm door were removed and new ones installed, and then our front door was removed and a new one installed. While each door had its own quirks to be handled, he completed the work and took care to make appropriate recommendations for how to solve any issues that came up. The cost for the work completed was very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs prompt, professional service at a reasonable price.

They provided an estimate and how they work hourly. Charged the first $199 hourly rate which was suppose to be credited to the work hours after initial meeting. She then charged hourly in addition to estimate and threw in a gas charge and a random parts fee(random because not itemized) Estimate was less than $350 for a bathroom vent replacement and 1.5 hours of work. I paid near $700 to have my bathroom fan installed. I paid for the fan.

The technicians showed up and promptly got measurements, one person started removing the old door while the other did the material run. The door replacement was smooth and they cleaned up well after themselves. Very knowledgeable, great work ethic, and professional. Highly recommend to anyone!

I highly recommend Jessie, who did an excellent job enclosing air conditioning ducts in the master bedroom closet and altering the Family room fireplace surround to enable the installation of a gas fireplace insert. He was creative and knowledgeable in his solution design and very thorough in his clean-up after installation. The end result looks great. We will be using him for any future needs.

Jesse did a fantastic job reinstalling a large piece of my siding that had blown off the house after Monday's disasterous rain & wind storm. Jesse knew exactly what he needed to do and finished nailing the siding back in place in no time. He was extremely friendly and demonstrated that he's a true professional. I wouldn't hesitate to have him do more work at my house.

I called Mr. Handyman (Norwich franchise) and my call was answered by a live person, and my service scheduled in 4 business days. I was given an accurate estimate and 2 hour window for arrival. Text and email were used to confirm the appointment and to let me know when the service person was on the way. Jesse the Handyman was polite, knowledgeable, professional and completed the projects in a timely and skillful manner. I will use this service again.

Mr. Handyman missed out on alot of money. Needed a lot of electrical and carpentry work and its been well over a week and not even an estimate appointment could be made. Ive had no email back at all for 3 days with trying to touch base to set something up still. Very unprofessional..at least tell me you are too busy so im not wasting my time finding a contractor that will do the job.

Dean was very professional and all the items we had on our list were completed in a timely manner. I will use them again if we need work done around our home.

We had him replace some of our vinyl siding that had been damaged by rocks. He did an excellent job and we were very happy about it.

This is the second time I’ve use Mr. Handyman and it won’t be the last! Dean came out to my house the first time to replace siding on our house. He was so helpful and friendly and informative that I called back and requested him again for a different project. They were able to fit me into the schedule the very next day, and Dean was able to help me out with a product on my front porch. I’m so glad I found a handyman for all sorts of different projects! I hired Mr. Handyman to replace my front storm door. I ordered my new storm door from Home Depot. They picked it up for me and brought it to my house to install.

Service was excellent, from Courtney who set up appointment to Ben Lawton who did the work. I can’t say enough about the expertise, courtesy and professional attitude of Ben. We have additional work that needs to be addressed and will ask for Ben!

I had Jesse come to our home to rip up a old subfloor that was put in improperly in my basement, he did a amazing job, got rid of all of the flooding did a amazing job cleaning and making sure no nails were still sticking out. He also hung a shade for me that seemed like it took him 2 minutes! Will definitely be requesting him by name for any other jobs I need done in the future!

I had a huge hole in the ceiling that needed repair and replacement of our front porch railings. ( a drunk driver drove up our lawn and landed at our front porch). We had the railing fixed by someone else but after a short time they were loose and wobbly! James did such a great job pulling out the rotted drywall and insulation. The repair was perfect! James also replaced the whole front porch and stair railing! It is secure and looks terrific. James worked super hard and even with a few unforseen challenges was able to do the job in the time promised! I greatly appreciated his awareness and consideration of the budget! Yes I would for sure have James with Mr Handiman services do other jobs for me!!
