With the recent storms, we had rain pour through the arch in our front door. Monnot was working on a project at our neighbor's so I reached out to discuss our issue. Gil quickly responded to my email and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He was very professional with scheduling, by sending an appointment email and calling 30 minutes prior to his arrival. He presented options and the work was done the next day. Great service. I highly recommend and will reach out for other project that may need to be done in our home.

We contracted Gil (Monnot Construction) to repair the wood rot, trims, and fascia around our house and we got nothing but professionalism. Gil was very easy to work with. I hired Monnot in April of 2021 to find and fix the cause of a ceiling leak in my living room. They completed work on a small area of roof above the living room. However, after the next major rain, I contacted them to let them know that the leak had in fact not been fixed. They returned in June to make another fix (for an additional charge). Unfortunately, the leak has continued even after this second attempt to fix. The leak is only evident during heavy rainstorms, so it wasn’t immediately apparent that their work was unsuccessful. I’m now in the position of needing to hire another contractor to solve the same problem I hired Monnot to take care of. This all cost about $1,800. I can only imagine how much worse the water damage has become in the years since.

Monnot Construction did an amazing job renovating my living room and kitchen. Gil walked me through everything. They first gutted out my living room and dining room and then dry-walled and painted it. This gave me the open concept that I was looking for. Gil also has great relationships with other businesses, and I got great prices on my custom counters, granite, and electrical needs. Gil has become like family. I am going to renovate my basement next and trust no one else to do the job except Monnot Construction. They do outstanding work!!

I am beyond ecstatic with the work the team has done. We needed our kitchen to be remodeled with new cabinets, floors and lighting after we had some water damage. From beginning to end the team was a pleasure to work with. Gil provided recommendations on where to get cabinets, floors as well as counter tops. Very professional and does good work. I had deck work done but the original job was not up to code, Gil did an inspection and brought my deck up to code. We had windows installed and the crew does good professional work. Gil is customer service oriented and shows a lot of attention to detail. I would recommend his services to everyone.

Monnot Construction team, was the most razonable quote that we had from the rest of the contractors. They replace the pressure treated deck floor and railing for composite TREX deck flooring and PVC/ Vinyl railing. We love their work.

We hired Monnot Construction for our water damage insurance claim they repair our floors and drywall. Gil was very knowledgeable about the insurance process. They did Great Job!

Firstly, Monnot was the only company I called that would even do the work. All I needed was a replacement of the wind vent on my roof. Every other company wanted to replace the entire roof, not just the vent. They were very quick to show up to examine my roof and showed up promptly to do the work. They said they would be there at noon and 11:59 the first guy showed up. They were done in about 1/2 hour. I highly recommend their service.

Gil and his team were great to work with! We did a complete bathroom remodel with tiled floor and tiled shower wall. In addition we replaced our front door and the flooring in the entryway to the house. Everything looks great! The cost for everything was also very reasonable. We appreciated that Gil visited everyday to inspect the progress of the team and answer any questions.

I cannot say enough about this company and its owner Gilbert Monnot. The work was better than I have had in the past at a much lower price. Better work + Lower Price= Win Win.
As you can see in the pictures, the living room walls and eletrical has to be removed due to water damage and the methodical and going the extra mile (cleaning of mold, building more stable wall and insulating) saved me time and money in the future. Hard wood floors...Spectacular and thousands less then commercial companies. Plus, the founder Gilbert Monnot supervised each project, giving you a sense of small-town closeness, much like I received from the good people of Maine before moving here.

Monnot Construction is outstanding at everything he does. He is very professional with a relaxed manner.
He remodeled our bathroom and basically helped us in picking things out as we did not really have a vision of what we wanted at first. He further assisted us by coming to the stores with us and did an excellent job of creating a bigger space in our home to allow for a full bath on a second floor Cape. He ended up doing a lot of other smaller jobs for us as well. You won’t regret hiring them for any household job, big or small!

Gil and his team were outstanding. They started my renovation on time as scheduled and finished on time as expected. They kept my condo clean and were easy to work with. We thought our roof was leaking but it turn out there is a nail who popped out and needed to be nailed back in and caulk. The team was on time and was very professional. I will recommends using them and we will call them again in the future.

Monnot replaced a deteriorated from porch on a historic house and repainted entirely. More involved once the floor boards were pulled up but they did a great job building a new frame. The porch is safe now and looks very much as original. I definitely would recommend them and have so already.

As a first-time homebuyer I decided to purchase a home that was in foreclosure and do a full renovation. I contacted Monnot Construction and that same day the owner, Gil made himself available to come over and inspect the house for me and give an indication of how much it would cost to do the full renovation, which was so helpful and informed me as to the amount of my offer.

Because Monnot Construction was so responsive and helpful, I hired them to do a full renovation of my new home which was a very detailed and extensive project which included: demolition of the existing structures and junk removal, drywall repair, painting the entire home, full bathroom renovation (3 bathrooms), lighting (installation of at least 10 light fixtures), refinishing stairs, installation and staining of hardwood flooring, installation of new appliances, roof repair, kitchen renovation, and carpeting. This was a very complicated project and was done at a reasonable price, and I am so happy to say that it has been completed and I am now living in my dream home and it is stunningly beautiful!

Monnot Construction was extremely organized when it came to scheduling, as the entire project took about a month and a half and Gil and his foreman coordinated with their team to ensure that people were always working on my house and the project progressed on schedule. He was always available by text message and would regularly send me pictures and updates as to how the project was progressing along. Whenever I made it to the house to check on the progress in person, Gil always took the time to come over and explain where they were in the renovation and answer any questions I had.

The quality of the work and the attention to detail of Monnot Construction are so professional and they clearly take pride in their work to make sure that all lines and finishes are clean. We called Monnot Construction about a couple leaks from storm damage. Upon repair, they discovered more extensive damage caused by inadequate ventilation. (Thanks, roofers hired by previous owners for not bothering to install any baffles. Ugh!)

They did a temporary repair and then wrote up an estimate for replacement. The estimate had options and they fully explained each one. Gil from Monnot Construction met with us both over Zoom, and in person to answer all our questions.

They gave us a credit for part of the repair cost when we signed up for the roof replacement. They worked around our schedule needs without complaint. The roof crews were on time and efficient. They did great clean up. No nails in the yard or driveway. The follow up from Gil and others was prompt. We had one minor post installation issue and that was resolved quickly.

We chose Monnot Construction to do the original estimate of the repairs based on several recommendations from friends. I am glad we did. Their prices are reasonable, their service is excellent, they offer a great warranty and the quality of products and work is outstanding. We recently had our roof replaced after it was severely damaged in a wind storm. We chose Monnot Construction, LLC based off their online reviews and were not disappointed. We worked primarily with Tony who was kind and helpful from start to finish. He was easily accessible and was able to help us navigate filing a claim through our insurance. The crew was professional and very efficient- they were able to finish the job in one day! Monnot Construction was also willing to work with us and allowed for payment after we had received all of our insurance money. We have had several neighbors stop to tell us how nice our roof looks- something I would have honestly never noticed before! We would happily recommend Monnot Construction to our family and friends!

Monnot Construction got us the new roof we knew we needed but were initially denied by our insurance. The roof of our home was damaged by wind in August 2019, and as we watched all of our neighbors have their roofs replaced, our claim was denied by our insurance, and our then contractor shrugged, simply called it a loss, and moved on.

Nearly 12 months later, Gil found us (in a neighborhood of recently replaced roofs, ours stood out in the worst way), and he explained to us our options, that even initially denied, we could call for an additional inspection, even an arbitration if necessary. Gil and Monnot Construction handled all of the paperwork and it would ultimately require arbitration for our insurance to agree to replace our roof. Our roof replacement was scheduled immediately thereafter, and the exceptional work was completed in only a single day. My wife and I are grateful to Monnot construction for having helped us clearly understand the path to our new roof, and for having thoughtfully guided us through the process

Gil called me the weekend before the crew arrived and ensured we were ready for the work to start. Tony and his crew showed up and worked like a finely tuned machine. We had some damage done to our roof from a storm. We contacted Monnot Construction. Absolutely amazing! We had a response and a quote within a day. Recommended licensed company, for all kinds of construction repair. Monnot construction repaired our rental house roof, which it needed some shingles to be replaced. we contact them through google. very professional service, Gil came and did the inspection and found the issue. we will keep them in mind for any future need.

Company has a very professional workers, salesperson was to the point, the fixed my porch rails and changed some of the wood boards. very nice company thought.

I would give zero stars if it was an option. Gill seems to be a nice guy, but the work is not professional. They hung the drywall very poorly, wasted so much material, left all of the scrapes in the front yard although there was a dumpster in the driveway. Only finished a quarter of the job and demanded more money or he was going to put a lean on the house. Would never use again.
