Homefix Custom Remodeling

Had a shower installed by home fix and the shower floor cracked, because no support was put underneath so it leaked into living room. I contacted warranty services back in September 2024. It is now almost March 2025 and nothing has been done. Two people came out on two separate occasions to take measurements, 2 months later I call for an update they said they needed to take more measurements. On 3 separate occasions they scheduled a time to come out and nobody ever showed up or called me to reschedule . Extremely unprofessional and have no respect for their customers.

Had all my windows replaced in Aug with HomeFix. Wanted to wait a couple of months to make sure everything was good. Wayne the Market manager was very helpful, listening to our concerns and working with us to make the costs of the project affordable. Also, really like the 50yr warranty.

My gutters and doors are fabulous! Couldn't be happier! Process was seamless from start to finish. KB from Sam's Club is an outstanding representative; knowledgeable, outgoing, and very personable!

KB is an excellent rep that is always helpful and presents great knowledge about your product. She is very very funny with great CS skills. i met her last summer and had my estimate and a great door. I would recommend that anyone experience KB. When i visit the club im so excited when i see her.

Annoying cold call from this company trying to schedule estimate. Declined scheduling estimate but continued to call me multiple times. Could have not ruined the relationship by just leaving a card behind when I needed something but ended up completely losing any chance I'll do any business with these people. Based on the reviews looks like I dodged a bullet from doing any business with these guys.

The roof guys were awesome. They came early. They were polite and were done by lunch. Also the next 2 days, it rained cats and dogs and I haven’t seen any signs of damage inside and all parts of the roof I can see are in pristine condition. Thank you all!!!!

Door-to-door guy was pushy and didn't let me explain i was in the middle of something but because I was actually interested keep pushing.
But the rep we talked with on the phone later was delightful.
We didn't end up going with Homefix, but we'll keep them in mind for the future.

I had them do my roof under my insurance. They did a good job. They replaced some windows as well. I'm giving them a 1 star review because they won't stop calling. I get about 1 -2 phone calls a week and have repeatedly asked them to remove me from their call lists. They say they will, but I get another call the following week. I block their number and they call from a different number. I will NEVER do business with them again because of their policy of harassing their customers.

No. No and no. The rep was here for an HOUR AND A HALF. Prying into our business, talking talking and talking about company history. She was LOUD. Not everyone has the panache to tell people to cut to the chase. NEVER would we go with this company. When she leaves, on the gravel country road, she parks IN THE MIDDLE of the lane, no turn signal on. No one can get around. People!! Teach your reps!

This started in 2018 when Home Fix Remodeling installed a new architectural shingled roof and it was a botched job. Rotten boards still present. They returned in 2021 to replace the inferior workmanship accidently cut my cable and bent all of my gutter work. They did not replace all of the rotten boards. My gutter helmet was not replaced! They did replace the downspouts, but said they would not come back for any additional repairs. I was issued a lifetime warranty and this roof has not lasted 3 yrs. Trim and flashings falling off periodically and now a home inspection just revealing holes in the sheathing and gable ends, Hclips missing, and moisture around the plumbing stack vent. I am more than frustrated and Homefix Remodeling representatives refuse to discuss it. I am the original homeowner so I can speak to the facts. I have never had any problems with my roof until this company sent unskilled workers to my home. I would like to give them a ZERO.

I stopped at the Homefix booth at the Raleigh NC home show this past 2024 spring. I needed a new roof.
I made an appointment for a home estimate. Me being a retired police sgt. am not a very trusting person. I live in NC and this company headquarters is in Laurel MD but they have an office in the Raleigh Area.
Well, I was amazed the salesman arrived at the exact time he said he would.
We agreed on a price. I gave him 1/3 down payment, half wondering if I would I made a mistake.
A week or so later someone from Laurel called and made an
appointment for the material to arrive. It arrived on the exact date at 07:30 am, Friday. The roofing crew arrived at 07:15 Monday. There were a lot of them, all with specific jobs.
My roofing job was to take 2 days but rain was due on Tuesday. These folks stayed until 10:30 that night to finish
the roof so I would not have any issues.
Two of them came the next day to finish a couple of things and finish the cleanup.
The new roof is actually a total roof system. I have seen
a lot of roof jobs over the years. This is the best one I have ever
seen. This is a professional company with professional workers.
They are efficient and do quality work.
My roof warrantee and guarantee is for 50 years and is transferable to the next 2 owners of my home.
They installed a new window in a bathroom totally for free
and also gave me a cruise in the deal. The window crew was just as professional as the roofers.

Paul came out today for our siding and gutter consultation. He was extremely professional and friendly. He explained and gave me all the options and was very straightforward with everything. I can’t wait to have our new siding and gutters installed.

Would have given this company a zero star rating, but I had to select one at the end. The company is a complete scam, run by "men" who are unable to end the standard chapter of college fraternity days. Furthermore, I've never heard of an ego as big as manager Adam's, therefore I'm betting he was in the worst fraternity at his school. However, I was unable to complain about the price until the salesman entered my home and said, "If we chose to work with you." My husband and I intended to give your company our money and the salesman's commission, so this statement really caught me off guard. In any case, I just wanted to impart future clients.

Our experience with HCR started with our sales person Lauren L. She was excellent, honest, thorough, and offered different options to fit our needs. We received consistent communication from the HCR team up until installation; and we are loving our new windows and doors!!! Daris and his crew were a well oiled machine of four installers that made sure everything was done professionally and everything fit perfect. I had a door previously installed by another company that wasn’t framed properly, and they stayed until they found a solution. Would recommend Lauren and HCR to all my friends and neighbors.

I reached out to a friend of mine to see if he knew anybody, because I had a roof leak. He got me in contact with Homefix, where after much discussion, and through financing and agreeable amount was found.

The rest of the process moved much faster than anticipated. I received a call that the roofing materials would be dropped off ahead of time. They did show up but it was late at night, with no warning.

The following Monday the roofing crew showed up in the morning and began the work. There were some additional issues with the plywood on the roof which would have to be replaced. They did not have this plywood on hand, however apparently somebody had left to go get the wood. Surprisingly, and with traffic got back in a very short period of time. The entire process took about 12 hours. I will say that it is a messy process, which they did clean up at the very end of it and I would have never known they were ever there.

There were a couple minor issues that arose, that were brought up to the company as feedback already.

Overall, they did an amazing job and I would definitely use them again. And I would highly recommend this company. I don't ever give out five stars to anybody. Even with the small little issues that I encountered, I think it's deserved.

The door installation went very well. I love the door. It is much better than the previous door.

I spoke to a girl named kb today about a lot of work I need on the house and kb just walked up. We need a roof badly and she made amazing suggestions and spent a lot of time with me. Super friendly, helpful, very creative in her
thinking and her presentation was the biggest laugh I can recall in a long time. I suggest to anyone to see kb at Pasadena for a wildly funny and impressive experience on home improvement.

Has did a good job with educating on the options available for the windows and the install. The thoroughness was very helpful in making our decision.

I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They lie about not using subcontractors. They installed my new roof which the workers did a good job but in the process, they tore screen on my front window. They were cutting materials and damaged my brand new vinyl fence (the gate). Yes, it most likely wasn't done on purpose but they sent someone out to replace the screen. It was a black screen . I have white. It wasn't installed properly. It's all loose and they sent me a check to cover the cost of the gate. The first check I received, i deposited it in my account and it was returned( bad check). I called to talk to someone. I was given the runaround for weeks. I was told another check would be issued. Weeks went by and no check. I got back on the phone again and every time I called, there was never anyone available to take my call. Had to leave a message. Finally got in touch with someone and was told was it was in the mail. I received the 2nd check. I decided to go to bank that their check was written off of and they told me it was a bad check. They had to register the check for positive pay . I left another message with them and ofcourse no one returned my call. I was calling there every week. I finally asked to speak with accounting. I was told accounting doesn't talk to customers. Now, I'm getting pissed. This is the 2nd check that was no good and I was not able to cash or deposit. I talked to Bree who is no longer with the company and she told me they do have positive pay and i have to try to deposit it into my account again. My bank again rejected the check. It was not registeted. She kept telling me that the check was good. So, a 3rd check was issued but this time thru Fed Ex and she was going to send me a tracking number. I finally received that check. I went back to their bank and again, it was not registeted thru positive pay. This is ridiculous. It was only $300. So i was back on phone again. I was told accounting will run the check thru. That was a few days after Christmas. 2 weeks went by and nothing. I called back AGAIN and left a message on the main voicemail. I finally received a call from Tiffany who was very nice. She talked to accounting but they wouldn't give her the authority to run the check thru so she emailed accounting and told them something had to be done. She gave me the name and number of a person in accounting that she sent the email to. Her name is Grasiela. She called me and told me to go to the bank and deposit the check and as soon as she gets it in her end, she would approve the deposit. Thank God for her and Tiffany. After 3 months of arguing back and forth on the phone and getting the runaround, these 2 were the only ones that would even try to help me. The deposit was a success. I had no problem with how the roof was installed, i only had a problem with them resolving issues I had with replacing my screen and having my fence fixed. I would NEVER recommend this company. I had to give one star review because they don't have any rating lower than that.

KB was an amazing representative. I look forward to connecting with her in the future when I am ready to have our new construction home remodeled, she was very professional, kind, and genuine.

TLDR: Salesman lied to us about a cruise for the family to get us to buy a door. Installers also broke our lock, didn't tell us and used spackle to put it back together. Don't trust google review score. Go to yelp and you'll see multiple 1 star reviews with similar stories. You'll save yourself ALOT of money.

The salesman, William, came to our house for a free quote for an entryway door. After his initial estimate of $11,000 my wife and I both said no. He was nice and said he wanted to help the family by giving us a deal. He got the price down to $6,800 We knew how much we wanted to pay for a door and that wasn't it and kindly said thank you but no thanks. He then offered us a "free" cruise for the family. My wife double checked to make sure our two kids were included and he said yes. After a quick price crunch (my wife is an accountant) we foolishly accepted the deal.
Fast forward a couple weeks and the door was installed. Cant lie, its a good quality door, but it should be for 7k. Lucky for us the battery in our Yale Lock died and when I tried to replace it I couldn't pull the cap off. The installers had broken the lock, didn't tell us and then used spackle to keep it together (picture below). The door was also way too tight and we had to call to have someone come out and fix it. They tried to leave multiple times saying it was fixed and each time I would show that it still wasn't working properly.

We ended up buying an overpriced door that was incorrectly installed by unprofessional workers and on top of that didn't receive our cruise voucher until I reached out multiple times, and then was told instead of a cruise for the family (my wife, two kids, and I) only my wife and I were covered and we'd need to shell out another 2 grand at least for the kids. Now I'm unsure if its even financially viable for us to go on said cruise and kicking myself for being swindled by this terrible company.

Don't fall for the kind salesmans pitch and be firm in your no like I wish we did.

Has was very informative of the product.
Not push into making a decision on what to do.
Would recommend him to others as their salesperson.

Even though I had my siding done and I'm ever so pleased and satisfied with a job done so well the experience from the beginning with kb left such an impression on me. Did something happen to kb? Forget where's Waldo. Where is kb? My siding is beautiful and I'm so happy it was done by fixhome and I wouldn't be so delighted had it not started with kb. Once in a lifetime you encounter a person like kb. But I did get the exact color I wanted and it's just so beautiful and my sales guy Nick worked with me. He bent over backwards to get my wife and myself exactly what we envisioned . Where can I find her? Let us know where to find kb.

I would stay clear of this company. We had a roof installed almost 5 years ago. All went well with the roof installation. Here is the problem.... we are currently changing insurance companies for our home and was asked to send a copy of our contract for the roof. My husband and I are very good at keeping documents. We both looked and could not find the contract. I contacted the company to get a copy of the contract and was told that they archive anything that is over 3 years old but would look into it. The representative that I spoke to called and said that they archived the contract. I said ok but is anyone going to give us a copy because we never received the original contract. She said all she was told was that they archived contracts that are older than 3 years. She apologized and I told her its not her fault, she just works there. Not sure if this is some "mom and pop" operation because I have worked for several corporations that have electronically and manually archived files. I've been in situations where we had files from the 80's sent to us from the company that stores files. How is it that this day and age you cannot give a customer a copy of a contract? We have had work done with Thompson Creek that is going on for 8 years and I have a copies of the contract and when I call them they have our information available. Also we are supposed to have life time shingles.... Now I'm questioning if that is true, if you can't pull my contract, how do you know if I have lifetime shingles......

Overall I would do business with them again. Their customer service is pretty good. Their workers were friendly and helpful. The one exception was that when my salesman left the company they completely left me hanging. No one called me to let me know that a new person was working with me. I had no phone number to call which really surprised me. I checked texts and emails from the original salesman. The phone number from Google Maps went to an answering service, but no one returned my messages. I ended up searching for branches on google maps. I found one 2 hours away. I told them about the answering service problem, and asked if they could connect me with whoever my salesman was. She was very nice and wanted to help, but she did not succeed. It wasn't until I remembered receiving a text from another individual with the branch that was working with me that I was able to finally get reconnected with them. It was quite stressful, but like I said, I would definitely do business with them again. Their quality of work is excellent, and their customer service is pretty good despite the one incident. If this surprises you then you haven't worked with contractors much.

Has is patient and took the time to explain options. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to update their home. We have chosen to do siding, the roof and gutters. We will contact Has when we can do the sliding glass doors.

Michael is outstanding! His company has top of the line products and service! Michael came out to the property multiple times to give us quotes. And took it a step further and looked at other details about the house that we didn’t know we missed. We really appreciate the time and effort Michael put in the last few days and we will always speak highly of him and HomeFix!

Has was extremely forthright, cautious of our time, considerate to our questions and is a good listener. Has should be compensated for an outstanding job.

My experience was a less painful experience than what I expected. The representative, Has, was helpful with explaining and very considerate of our time and needs.

Has was great, and taught us a lot about the replacement roofing process. He worked with us to get a contract within our budget.

Was told they do not use subcontractors which is untrue. Subcontractors showed up at 10 am everyday and left by 2 pm. They did nothing but bad mouth this company. Ordered new windows and doors which are poorly manufactured, some have already cracked and screens do not fit correctly. Sliding door was installed and they “forgot” to install brackets to keep it from shifting. Screen door will not stay on track. Side light to front door was measured incorrectly and is 2 inches shorter than the front door. Doors were installed without shims and this had to be corrected. Can’t get someone from this company to return our calls.

I just got a call from a rep that said she was with this company, working on the street listed in the state listed, trying to sell me services. I am on the DO NOT CALL list since 2005. You can be fined $5000 *per occurrence* by calling people on the list. The number was from an NC exchange, so it is possible that this was simply a scammer.

Edit: the company has been very good at reaching out to rectify this situation.

Has, our marketing Representative was really good, went over everything that was very understandable. We were offered deals to lower our rate. I started off with a bay window being done and ended up with both window and front door shaving off nearly $8000 in cost. I’m extremely excited about this project.

Lauren was an absolute delight. She came by for a free evaluation and was incredibly thorough in her work. Very kind and a pleasure to converse with.

Be very careful with this company. I have been forced to take them to small claims court because they refused to give $5,000.00 back after I decided to go with a different company. Do not give any money upfront. When I told them I am a disabled vet they told me a few expletives and told me to have a “ blessed day”

This company has been a disaster to work with. They got the roof done in weeks, but it took them months to get the windows done with no communication about the delays. I had to get the BBB involved to get progress. When they finally did the windows, they broke two antiques in my home. They did pay to replace them, but they shouldn't have broke them in the first place. Now they won't stop calling me trying to sell me the windows and roof they already installed and they hang up on you when you complain about them calling you endlessly. They negotiated on price and got their ridiculous initial quote down to reality, but the experience has not been worth it. Find someone else, this company is a mess.
