ModExt did a FANTASTIC job on my deck! Jerry provided a free estimate, gave me plenty of options, talked me through the pros and cons, and answered all my questions. Jerry, Joey, and Jordan were true professionals--on-time, polite, thorough, and careful. When minor issues arose, they provided options; even one issue that wasn't noticed until after all was done--was made right! They completed the deck on time and on budget--no surprises. I'm extremely satisfied, and would definitely hire them again! Bring on the summer BBQs!

They worked with me to get the best quality product and stay within our budget and even went the extra mile to get the exact color we wanted. I had 3 quotes and all were basically the same except for Yerry with modext construction. they did a great job of keeping me informed all the way through and Yerry really took the time to get to know my project and my needs and put together the perfect deck for me and my grandson. He was even nice enough to add a beautiful ramp free of charge. The job was won and completed within 2 weeks and they did a great job of cleaning it up. it looks amazing and like it was always a part of my home. I interviewed 6-8 different contractors to replace wooden stairs and platform landings from my back yard to the beach below. Most wanted to impose on me their idea of what I should build and their prices reflected this. Yerry took the most time to understand my needs, wants and vision and then create a cost effective yet structurally solid design to accomplish this. Yerry's communication throughout the project was very good. His primary carpenter, Joey is truly remarkable in his work ethic, knowledge and skill. Change orders were handled in a very formal and professional manner and online payments were convenient. Yerry is a hardworking, honest person that I would without hesitation use again for future outdoor deck, stair, etc needs.

Our screen porch was totally destroyed in the tornado of 2023. Yerry and Jerry did an amazing job putting our porch back together. Not only were they on time and kept us informed through the entire process, but the attention to detail was above and beyond any contractor we ever worked with. Jerry and Joey were professional, very knowledgeable and dependable. On top of these they were personable, flexable and very clean in their work.
All these made the replacement of our porch destroyed by a tornado in April 2023 relatively easy. Working with us in what we wanted and with our insurance company in the coverage, it was the easiest of repairs to our house.

Moden Exteriors did a fantastic job on replacing my deck. Yerry, Joey, and Howard worked very hard in extremely hot weather to build a new deck which I think looks fantastic. They were always on time and made sure I was happy with everything.

We recently had our decks completely rebuilt by Modern Exteriors. This was a complex project involving hundreds of square feet of decking and stairs, with a new cable railing system to go with a very nice Trex composite. We are very happy with the results and are completely satisfied with the service we received. There were delays associated with material deliveries along with some growth and a few changes one would expect from a project of this scope and complexity. Yerry kept us informed and was very thorough in explaining what was happening throughout the process. He and his installation team were very professional, and their quality of workmanship was outstanding.

Had an appointment on Saturday for a quote to be done and no one showed up, no call, no text. Was able to get in touch with company again, re-scheduled for Wednesday. Took day out of work to be home for the appointment on Wednesday only to get a call with Modern Exteriors cancelling the appointment saying they are "too busy". Two days wasted waiting on these folks to be told "never mind". Don't count on these folks to live up to their commitments.

Modern Exteriors by Design showed up on time, did nice work, cleaned up, and finished on time. Front porch posts and rails look great. I would hire these guys again.

Yerry Balenzuela from Modern Exteriors by Design (MODEXT) provided an estimate for repairs to be effected on my sunroom roof that was separating from the walls. He was prompt, personable and most professional. He surveyed the problem and determined that the roof was just glued down and required hurricane straps to secure the roof to the walls. He provided a very reasonable estimate and scheduled his technician to install the straps.
Seth was scheduled to provide the necessary installation. He arrived right on time detailed the install procedure and was focused on the task. It took him less than an hour to complete the install. The roof was drawn down and the seams were re-caulked.
I am very pleased with the services rendered and would definitely use MODEXT again for any other future sunroom issues.

Company has great communication from start to finish. Family friendly, fair pricing, and quality work. Definitely would recommend if you are looking to get get a deck, sunroom, or gazebo put in.

This is by far the worst contractor I have ever seen. Zero talent and show absolutely no pride in their work. It was an absolute mess start to almost finished? (It's been a few weeks, I think it's fairly safe to assume i won't be added to the schedule to get the sheetrock finished) It would be nice if I could load pictures in my review. It's ridiculous the amount of short cuts they attempted on a very simple job. Do yourself and your house a huge favor and avoid this company at all costs.

It was worth every penny. I am not even exaggerating. I have been saving for years to do some home improvement and I am actually satisfied with the work. I surprising don't have any buyer remorse and I'm quite particular on a lot of things. I recommended them to all my girls at book club. If I knew how to post picture on these Google reviews I would. I'm just so happy. Thank you again for the wonderful service.
