Our realtor recommended Mike at MK Home Inspections to do a home inspection on a house we were considering buying. Mike did a very thorough and complete inspection of the house inside, outside, underneath in the crawl space, and above in the attic. He stayed after the inspection to point out and explain the general problems he had found with the house and to answer our related questions about what he had found to be a concern. He also pointed out the many plus features of the house so that we did not feel overwhelmed by what needed to be fixed. Mike emailed us a very detailed inspection report with numerous photographs of the problem areas the evening of the inspection. Considering that the report was 37 pages long and included a very comprehensive 12 page summary we were quite impressed to have the report in hand so quickly. After reading over the report we had several questions that we emailed to Mike over the next few days and each time Mike had answers to us almost immediately. We proceeded to make an offer on the house that was based on the sellers completing some of the fixes that were needed. After seller completion of the designated repairs we had Mike out to do a follow-up inspection (for a very minimal charge) and he found items that the seller claimed were fixed but in actuality had been missed entirely. We were able to update our offer to ensure that the repairs were done to our satisfaction based on Mike’s additional information. We went on to purchase the house thanks largely to Mike’s informative report and his reassurances about the quality of the home with suggested repairs. Mike is not only very professional and knowledgeable about homes, he is also quick to schedule an inspection, on time, and very helpful about answering all questions sent his way. Mike is also a very friendly, high energy, and personable individual who we were delighted to work with. We highly recommend Mike and his company MK Home Inspections to both buyers and sellers for any home inspection needs that they may have.
