I've had two different terrible experiences with their estimator recently. On one project, he took more than a month to finally give me a quote. I had to remind him multiple times, it was like pulling teeth to get him to give me a simple bid. On the second occasion, He gave me a verbal quote on the spot. It was reasonable, so I authorized the work. When I went to pick it up, the bill was 50% more than what he had said it would be. The finished product was of fair quality, but not worth the money they charged.
I reached out to Miller Sheet Metal in early-mid April to fabricate two doors for a bbq project. After several missed appointments, it took threatening to cancel the project to get an in-person appraisal. After that there were constant explanations that they were too busy to get back to me (dismissing that my project should have been included in the "busy").
I went down to check on the project in person. They suggested I take the doors back to my project site - they did not fit. I brought them back and informed them of this.
The next several weeks were back and forth with no progress made.
I grew tired of pestering them so after their last promise of coming out - so I waited for them to follow up with me. They missed the appointment and it's been 5 weeks since - with no effort on their side.
It's plain to see they did not value my time or money, therefore I am forced to look elsewhere for my needs.
If you have unlimited time; and don't care if your project is ever done - put your quarter on the bar and take your chances.
