Generally, I don’t like leaving negative feedback, but I hope this review helps others considering this roofing company.
I hired Mighty Dog Roofing (Fairfax area). Initially, they were friendly and helpful—especially when working with my home insurance and securing approval. However, things quickly went downhill after the job was completed and they were paid.
A couple of months after installation, I noticed a leak. Since the roof came with a 25-year warranty, I expected them to stand behind their work. Unfortunately, getting any response from them has been a nightmare. I’ve called and emailed multiple times with no follow-up. I even began to wonder if they had a real office—whoever answers the phone has no way to escalate issues and refused to give me the owner's name or contact information.
After three weeks of persistent calls, a sales representative finally showed up—only to falsely claim that someone had already repaired the issue. I was home all day on the date in question, and my home security system confirms that no one came to the property, let alone went up on the roof.
The leak was around the furnace pipe on the roof, and he sealed it with caulk. However, the leak returned the very next day. I came home from work to find water all over the furnace area again. I contacted him for a solution, and after nearly a month, he told me the pipe needed to be replaced—and that it wouldn’t be covered under the roofing package.
Out of frustration, I went up to the roof myself the next day. To my disbelief, I found a very obvious crack around the pipe that had never been sealed properly. It was clear Mighty Dog Roofing had missed it. I bought a $10 tube of caulk, sealed it myself, and the leak stopped completely.
If you’re reading this, I strongly recommend choosing a roofing company with a reliable track record and responsive customer support. Based on my experience, Mighty Dog Roofing may complete the installation—but if anything goes wrong afterward, don’t expect meaningful help.
This was the first time I called Mighty Dog Roofing and they did an excellent job to fix the noise that was coming from my roof. Sergio even followed up to check if everything was working after the repair was done. They are incredible people to work with, they provided lower cost for repair, and they diagnosed the problem. and I am glad I called them.
Mighty Dog Roofing replaced my roof about 3 months ago. They did an awesome job. My roof looks great! Sergio Tortola & his crew were very professional. They kept me in the loop with everything from start to finish! The process was smooth & painless. A few neighbors came by and asked me how did I like Mighty Dog Roofing and I said I recommend them to you and anyone that needs their room replaced. I have recommended them to several people already. My next door neighbor a couple of ago got their roof replaced and thanked me for referring them. If you need your roof replaced look no further.
