We had a horrible time working with Bull. Get a second opinion. If you’ve already signed the contract, definitely have someone knowledgeable help you manage the project—don’t trust their claims. The owner Shawn is manipulative. We basically got taken and then intimidated afterwards to accept fraudulent change orders. Like 10+ calls/texts/emails in a single day sometimes. I’m sure we’ll be harassed or bribed to take down this review. Oh well, it was a learning experience as new homeowners. Just want to warn others out there. Good luck—

EDIT: an hour after posting this review my doorbell starts ringing. No joke, the owner is standing at my door. Kind of unsettling but I guess that’s the point. He’s going to “call his lawyers” if I don’t delete the review. Very strange.

The team ensured that all of my landscaping was protected, and it looks like they weren't even here.

Dependable, experienced, skilled, fairly priced.
One of my skylights was damaged in a storm and needed to be replaced. I happened to know the name of the manufacturer, so I looked for a certified installer nearest me. That was Bull Contruction and Roofing. They sent someone out the same day to give me an estimate. It took several days to get the estimate and when it came it was more money than I expected. I got a second estimate from a company I have used before which I know to be fairly priced and does good work. Their estimate was $500 more. In other words, Bull Contruction and Roofing's price was very good. Clearly, I am out of touch with construction costs.
The order of the skylight and installation took a while but when they came, the installation was quick, neat, and watertight. I do not hesitate to recommend Bull Contruction and Roofing.

Bull Construction did a great job with my roof and getting the repair approved with my insurance. I've had bad luck with other roofing companies but decided to try again. Elmar did such great prep work up front that the insurance process went very smoothly and the whole job was approved. Elmar and Diego worked with me all along the way (even though we had to wait several months before the weather got warmer), were very helpful in figuring out colors, and when a window opened up with the weather, they were totally on top of it. It was essentially done in just over a day. I was very happy with the process and working with Elmar and his team throughout from start to finish. I finally have a beautiful new roof which makes me very happy!!

Insurance tried to deny my claim for 4 entire years! Shawn stayed the course and was able to push the claim through. Thank goodness for Bull and Shawn, I did not have enough money to pay for the roof that insurance was suppose to cover! Now it’s replaced and no more leaking. Roof looks amazing and I have brand new gutters that look wonderful as well. Interior paint job is smart. These folks really care.

Elmar and Diego were terrific. We had a leak in our roof - they took care of it with professionalism and explained clearly what the problem was and how they would fix it. They were very courteous and made the process very easy and straightforward. I’d recommend Bull Construction for any of your roofing needs.

I had some questions regarding the installation of my Verlux, skylights. I spoke with Sean, who was exceptionally knowledgeable of the product. Because the windows were replacements for 30 year windows & did not match the size of the cut-out, Sean spent an inordinate amount of time with me to suggest reasonable ways to finish the interior trim . . . so satisfying to have a professional who listens & is qualified to provides a welcomed solution!

We got both Windows and a brand new Roof. The Provia windows have excellent craftsmanship and a lifetime warranty! Bull installed them with excellent workmanship. The Roof also has a lifetime warranty and really pops visually from the street. Shawn did a wonderful job helping with the insurance process also. Very grateful to have help as the insurance company was difficult.

Sam did a complimentary roof inspection for us and we were super satisfied with the service. Luckily nothing wrong with my roof but if any construction work is needed, Bull Construction is my first choice.

Bull construction was there to help me from the very beginning. I had a leak from the rood caused by hail damage. They helped me do the damage assessment and managed the claim process with the insurance company to get the full value of the roof and interior repair so I would not have to pay anything out of pocket. The actual install was super fast and completed in a single day. The roof looks great and no more leaks. I highly recommend them. They will save you time and help you navigate the difficult insurance paperwork.

They were very quick getting it done in 1 day. They also did an amazing job cleaning up after! Would recommend to anyone and they also fight so insurance pays most of if not the whole cost!

Bull construction did a fantastic job at our house. We had pretty severe hail a year ago and we had no idea there was damage. Luckily bull was walking our neighborhood and came to our house and offered to do a free assessment of any damage. They ended up catching quite a bit. They saw damage on our siding, roof, gutters and downspout. We had a terrible time with our insurance company getting them to agree to a lot of the work that Bull said needed to be done in spite of us being able to visually confirm that there was damage. We had to have the insurance company come out three different times. Bull was able to fight for us and ended up getting our roof that was only 4 years old replaced. Many of my neighbors had their roofs replaced . They did an excellent job with the work. The gutters that they replaced is completely seamless and fabricated on site. It looks so much better than the one we had originally. They also upgraded our gutters to a larger size which will better accommodate the rain we get. They kept in great contact with us and were very professional. One of the owners even communicated with us about our project.

My parents live down in Fairfax Virginia and I am definitely going to recommend this company to them the next time there is a storm

The photos of the front of the house show the replaced gutters, downspouts and roof. Siding was not replaced there only on the side of the house.

Another roofing company was refusing to complete a sun tunnel installation inside my home. I explained my predicament to Shawn McDiffitt, and without much fanfare, he arranged to send a carpenter to my home the very next morning. Now that’s service!!! I’m happy with the craftsmanship, and I recommend Bull Construction for your carpentry projects.

I had a terrible experience with this company. The workers were completely unprofessional, taking way too long to complete the job and showing up late every day. To make matters worse, I caught some of the workers drinking on the job during their lunch break. This is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's integrity and work ethic. I do not recommend them!

Updated Version: I just completed the installation of my roof's shingles. The crew showed up on Friday at 7:00 am (beginning with 7 people), started working on the roof, and finished the next day. The crew was excellent, at the beginning, during, and end of the installation. It is Highly recommended for those planning to have their roofs done soon. Ms. Cynthia Baker, who is professional, courteous, and helpful when needed. Keep up the good work, Bull Construction & Roofing!

Following a storm in the area a friend recommended I have my roof inspected by Bull Construction and he sent Shawn McDiffitt my way. Shawn and his team developed a comprehensive inspection package which provided weather data on the date of the storm as well as the resulting damage that occurred to the roof. Even though I had never filed an insurance claim Shawn assured me Bull Construction would help every step of the way - and they did. When the insurance company came for its own inspection Bull Construction was onsite to point out what the insurance co. could have missed. When insurance approved the claim Shawn and the team ensured the roof was brought to code; Shawn also ensured it had the proper warranties for both the installation and the shingles - giving me confidence for the years to come. The speed and craftsmanship of the installation crew were impressive, and the quality of the work was validated by the production photos that were shared as part of the submission back to the insurance company. Above all this, Shawn and the team’s professionalism and assistance were well above what was expected. Bull Construction’s process, documentation, and technical systems are efficient and polished. Shawn quickly got a crew out to take care of a difficult to repair rain sensor issue. I did not have a previous relationship with Bull and it was remarkable how the crew got the job done quickly and efficiently on a blistering hot day.

I had roof damage due to wind and hail, and I had Bull construction referred to me by my aunt who had her roof done. They were very professional from the beginning and explained everything upfront about how the process works. They even accommodated the time to replace the roof to meet the deadline set by my insurance’s underwriter for the claim that was submitted with previous contractor. All the paperwork was online and all communication was easy, Shawn answered all the questions I had and always ready for call when I had questions. I would say please give them a try and get a free estimate to learn how they do business, you would be impressed.
