Niel Christensen stopped over my daughter’s house in AA. She has a small leak in her roof. Niel got up on the roof and checked it out, came down and showed me two places it “might” be leaking (he took photos on his phone to show me). He caulked them, but said what we really need is a new roof. He would be happy to give me an estimate on what that would cost, should she decide to do it. It was really great to have such a professional guy help us like that. Now we’ll wait and see if it’s still leaking after the next rainstorm. Thanks Niel!

The process start to finish exceeded my expectations. Our insurance company required a new roof due to age of the shingles. I was just hoping to find a roofing company with a quick turnaround but Neil came out to the house to help address not only the immediate need for a roof replacement, he also took the time to come up with a plan to insure adequate ventilation of our cape cod home. First, he gave advice on how to buy extra time to prevent the insurance company from dropping our policy. Doing this gave us time to get a home equity loan and also take time to choose the right color shingles and lastly figure out how to ventilate the three separate attic spaces we have. I thought the ventilation issue would be much more costly/involved than it turned out to be. The solution was to install shingle intake vent systems in strategic locations along with ridge venting. It was impressive how well Neil listened to our needs and came up with a clearly laid out plan with pictures from a drone that helped visualize the end product. He also was the project manager at the time of installation. This ensured our plan was carried out as expected. In the end, we were completely satisfied with the way the home looks, how it functions and we also have the peace of mind with a transferrable limited lifetime warranty. It was such a relief to get this project done without additional stress given the unexpected circumstances we were faced with from the beginning.

My experience with Niel and Mighty Dog Roofing was stellar. After some roofing items were identified on my new home inspection, I called them for a consultation. Niel was prompt, gave me tons of good information and provided honest feedback about the state of my roof. I give 5* to Mighty Dog Roofing. I met Dan Flanagan at the garden show in Saline. He was very helpful answering questions and easy to talk with. As a result, we scheduled a meeting with his Exterior Specialist Niel Christensen. Niel came out and evaluated a water leak problem potentially caused by a previous siding installation. Niel looked at several possible causes, made some recommendations and sealed an opening he thought might have contributed to the problem. I highly recommend having them out to look at any siding, roof or gutter job you might need to have done.

Had storm damage to our garage roof (a branch punctured a hole in it!). Mighty Dog came out promptly (before another impending storm!), fixed it quickly, carefully, and for a very fair price. Also gave us a helpful and honest estimate on when garage and house roof will need replacement. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend!

Mighty Dog Roofing of Ann Arbor did a fantastic job on our chimney repair! They got us on the schedule quickly, were professional and courteous, and a pleasure to work with. They also took lots of pictures - it was nice to see the before and after and the progress in between. We highly recommend them for any roofing work or repairs.

Had a small custom soffit/siding/aluminum wrap project. Niel of Mighty Dog Roofing came to quote it. He was prompt and punctual, coming the very next morning. A quote was provided onsite as well as a more formal one via email including annotated pictures of the scope of the work to be done. Had no idea what the project might cost but the quote was less than what I had budgeted. Was told turnaround time for installation would be sooner than expected - another plus for MDR but still had two more quotes scheduled.

Next company scheduled to quote the job sent a text confirming the date and time and included links for cancelling or rescheduling if needed. An hour before the appointment I was called and told they needed to reschedule, someone had overbooked appointments. Sorry, but that's a red flag, you're out.

After the call attempting to get me to reschedule I decided to go with my gut and just hire MDR for the job, without any other quotes. Happy I did; no complaints. Was surprised to find the morning of the install that Niel himself, along with a partner, was handling the install. It turned out great.

The crew arrived early and worked hard to get the job done in one day. They were meticulous in cleaning up and ensuring no nails got left behind, particularly important as we have a curious puppy. I highly recommend Mighty Dog of Ann Arbor – they have always been highly responsive to our needs, and they did an excellent job replacing our roof.

The lady who helped book my free repair estimate was nice and helpful. The gentlemen who called back was unprofessional. Asked questions he didn’t seem to want to know the answers to, told me he didn’t need to come onsite to perform an estimate. I’m not sure how you can estimate a job without diagnosing the issue. Seems like false advertising to offer free estimates, schedule them, and then have your service team try to bulldog a number over the phone. Hopefully this is an outlier for this company, but I didn’t leave feeling good about my experience with them.

I recently had some siding repair done. I was anxious because I have never worked with this type of contractor before. I was happy that they were able to complete the work within a week and handle my questions. The project manager Terry was very professional and gave me a fairly-priced estimate. A lot of contractors still do not have online bill payment in 2024, so I'm glad Mighty Dog did. They will be my go-to for any future repairs.

I was very impressed with my experience with Mighty Dog Roofing. I called around to multiple places and every other roofing company said my job was "too small" for them to take. (I needed a trim replaced and gutters added to one side of my home). Mighty Dog came out, took a look, and said it wouldn't be a problem at all! Mighty Dog Roofing of Ann Arbor recently replaced the roofs on both my house and garage, and as well as the gutters on my house. Niel did a thorough job explaining the process and materials options, as well as answering questions.They were communicative throughout the ordering process and available for follow up questions.

Due to unseasonably warm weather, we were able to coordinate the work to be done sooner than expected, which was a welcome bonus.

Their crew worked quickly and efficiently and had the entire roofing and cleanup job on both buildings completed in a day. The gutter replacement went quickly and smoothly as well.

Just got my roof done through Mighty Dog in Plymouth. I had a very positive experience. I was very skeptical about who to go through for my roof installation due to a lot of unreliable people in the contracting world.

Neil came out for the estimate and took his time to measure, inspect the roof and educate me about everything. He promptly got me a quote which was reasonable considering the scope of the job.

In themeantime, they tarped my roof and sent Wilson who secured it for rain and he was very hardworking and helpful.

I had been in touch with Mary in between and everyone I spoke with from this company was great and professional. I'm very satisfied with their work and cleanup afterwards.

We would highly Mighty Dog Roofing of Ann Arbor. They did an outstanding job replacing the siding on our porch and garage. All the window trim is fantastic especially the top arches. It gave our garage and porch a sharp, exciting look.

Update - the owner followed up with me on the incident - he was polite and thorough, concerned about his employees actions and how it reflects on his business. I respect that, and thought it deserves a change to my review. While I still have not used their services, I find it hard to believe that any business owned by such a consciousness person, who took the time to follow up, would tolerate poor workmanship. Never been to their location, but one of their drivers tailgated people, sped through two roundabouts near South Lyon, and rolled through every stop sign/ light along the way.
If this is the conduct of their employees, I would never use them. I tried calling the company to alert them to their driver's actions over the next hour- no one ever picked up. I'm not sure why a person would act like that with the company's info all over their work vehicle.

Neil helped Us pick out a beautiful, light colored, Midnight Plum colored Roof, and I opted for black Gutters- which Neil agreed, contrasted well with the New Roof. We are very happy and will use Mighty Dog Roofing in the future and I will be recommending them to my family and friends.

Niel was awesome! Of the three companies we got estimates from, Niel was the one who took the time to sit down and explain the difference between the different types of shingles, what all the different items that were going to appear on the estimate were and what function they serve in the roof system, etc. When the project ended up being scheduled earlier than we were ready for, Niel was in touch immediately and got us rescheduled within a few hours. When we later needed to reschedule again to get the project done before cold weather hit, he was extremely helpful in getting our timeline moved back up. Throughout the scheduling process, he communicated clearly, quickly, and professionally.

The day of installation went great as well. My wife and I were expecting to have our toddler's naptime interrupted by the project noise, but the crew was finished with installation, cleaned up, and gone just before we put our daughter down for her normal 1pm naptime. Would definitely hire Mighty Dog again!

They just finished a job this afternoon in Dearborn. Good size crew to keep everything in motion throughout the whole process. Very thorough at clean up. Nice straight lines on the roof for the valley and hips. They worked with the price where other companies give you a 3-hour sales pitch before revealing their estimate which was almost double. Zack at Mighty Dog Roofing was easy to work with and did a thorough search of the health of my roof following the violent storm with hail. He has a good command of drone camera usage, and I appreciate the time he spent with me.

Zack did a full roof inspection after we discovered a leak into our kitchen. He caulked all around a vent pipe. A week later he returned to install a collar on the pipe. We are satisfied with the results. He is very knowledgeable. He even helped us find our lost dog! We enjoyed working with him.
