Midwest Homes LLC - Roofing Company

We had our roof redone by them after the hailstorms this year. It was a great and seamless experience. They are definitely a company I will be recommending to family and friends!

So far Midwest Homes has done 4 projects for us. From residing a large metal pole barn to helping us convert a lean-to into a workable inside space. As with projects big and small, little things come up, Midwest Homes has done everything they can to make corrections or adjustments on the fly and make sure the project is completed to exactly what we need. Highly recommend!

We contracted with Midwest Homes for a roof and gutter replacement job. Shane and his crew did such an outstanding job that he came back for another gutter job on our shop and even my Mother in law house!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Shane Hardin in an incredible person that will go above and beyond to take care of your house. Shane showed up the day after our house was damaged by a tornado and had our house sealed up and protected from further damage practically immediately. The quality of work that has been done to every aspect of our house from roofing to siding to windows has been incredible. I cannot recommend Shane and his guys enough.

Midwest Homes did an amazing job of coordinating the project of replacing of our siding, roof and garage doors from start to finish. They inspected the house for storm damage, dealt with the insurance adjuster, and replaced the roof in a timely and professional manner. We expect similar satisfaction with the completion of some additional pending repairs. Their representative, Shane, has been very helpful.

Midwest started my repairs when they said they would, did the work that they had bid on, and finished it without any delays. I have not hesitated to recommend them to others. Shane is a great person, and company to work with.

Shane Harding of Midwest Homes LLC could not have been more professional, accommodating and helpful in handing both of my roofing problems in a space of four months. The initial situation dealt with a 2019 hail storm that I was under a time constraint from my insurance company to get repaired by May 2021. Shane was recommended by State Farm and I am still thankful for that recommendation. Shane inspected the roof in the late fall of 2020, determined it needed repair and arranged for the SF inspector. He spent a great deal of time with the inspector as my advocate helping to identify the varied repairs needed the following Spring when the temperature allow for the roof replacement. Additionally he arranged for a roof repair by the chimney just so I wouldn’t experience any problems over the winter. His advice on the SF procedures, claim approval scenario and timing was most helpful.
As fate would have it, a terrific summer storm in 2021 destroyed my huge silver maple in my backyard depositing about a third of the tree in broken limbs on the roof, gutters and deck. Again Shane came to the rescue and the process started all over again with inspection supervision, advocacy, suggestions and facilitation of gutter and deck repair workmen.
The experience working with Shane prompted this written endorsement and I should add that it is the first one I have ever written for anyone.

We had some shingles blow off of our roof during one of storms we've had this year. Water had made its way through our ceiling and it was a very stressful time for my husband and I. The first company we called quoted us over a 1,000 dollars for the repair. Gave Midwest Homes a call and Ed was fantastic. Great customer service and he got a crew out to fix the problem before the next storm hit. Crew was friendly and professional. Got the job done quick. Thank you Ed!

They took care of our church roof and did an amazing job! We were so impressed how fast they got it done and it looks great! We would highly recommend Ed Welte and MidWest Homes!!

Ed seemed really nice initially, but when they re-roofed our house we found nails EVERYWHERE! Which fine, we got over and scoured our driveway so neither my husband or I got a flat tire. Then we realized Ed’s roofers obviously stomped all over our gutters. One is hanging by a thread. I’ve called Betty probably 15 times in 6 weeks trying to get it addressed and she said Ed fixed them, but that’s not true. You can see a new nail was placed through this gutter, but the nail didn’t go into the house so it’s not doing anything to help the gutter. Ed never called me to follow up. Additionally we had our gutters cleaned and the nice individual who did the job said he picked at least 50 nails out of our gutters. Super frustrated with this company. I'm all about local, but do not use Ed Welte.

They did a fine enough job replacing my roof, but the aftermath was left to be desired. There were nails and roof scraps left all over my yard and in my driveway. I ended up losing a tire due to driving over a roofing nail. Also, they left a pallet of shingles in my yard for months without any indication of coming back to get it.

There also doesn't appear to be any flashing around the bay window portion of my house, and now my ceiling is leaking there, less than 2 years after getting a new roof.

The best roofing company available. We had damage from a recent sever storm. They came out assessed the house and helped us to file a claim with our insurance. They then met the insurance adjuster for the inspection and worked to get us all the necessary repairs. The items were repaired and replaced within two weeks from start to finish. The entire team was amazing and friendly. The guys doing our roof even put it on when it was 101° outside. God bless them. I would refer Midwest Homes to anyone. They truly take care of you!!

I hired this company to work on my house..after 2 months of waiting they told me they hired Pitched Perfection to do the work..Terrible awful..it leaks. This work was done August 2015 and I keep calling for them to fix it..still waiting. As far as I am concerned I hired Midwest Homes they subcontracted to another company and Midwest Homes is responsible for Pitched Perfection poor workmanship.
