Had a coupon, $59.99 blended synthetic oil change that included digital camera snapshots of problem areas discovered sent by text to my phone.Great idea. Also included tire rotation. In Sheridan that was a great price. Ask about their vehicle detail service at the same bldg complex.
The very next day my instrument gauges dropped to zero, flatlined as I got on the interstate. I coasted to the exit and engine died. Tried restarting, battery behaved as near dead although almost new. Using my portable battery jumper, took five jumps to get home. Would go a couple of blocks and die and battery always behaved dead. Alternator system ?
Midas estimate when asked was over $800 to rplc. Another local garage estimated approx $450. Midas stated they guaranteed I would rtn to Midas in about 6mths / year to have another Alternator because rplcmnt Alternator would likely fail. I called other garage and was told they quoted a price that includes a replacement Alternator that comes with a lifetime warranty. So, I rewarded 5 stars for the great oil-change, inspection and tire rotation, it was great and the digital camera photos sent as text msg's after vehicle inspection was great and my first experience with that added service.
But the Alternator estimate and caution will deserve an update next July 2026. There are other factors for estimate pricing that differs such as Cost of Labor etc. That's understandable. To my mind, Capitalism defines and self regulates the marketplace as well as common sense such that if a Product or service consistently fails then that product or service goes out of business and that includes Alternators and local shops that install ”known” non-reliable, disreputable auto parts. To my mindset this Alternator cautionary was not convincing. I will update my post July 2026 and I have set a reminder to do so.

Pls, do not forget, that to the best of my research Midas is offering the best, best price and service for blended synthetic oil change service that includes muti- point vehicle inspection and tire rotation.

Amazing experience! Had sudden issues with my vehicle and they were quick to explain what was wrong and worked with us on a solution. Very helpful and I'll keep coming back! Huge shout out to Mason and Doug, thank you very much for your hard work!

We had gotten an oil change before a camping trip near Sheridan, and the other place cracked the oil cap from over-tightening it, and caused all the oil to slowly leak out as we were driving…terrible to be stuck without cell service and with no oil! We stopped at Midas while in town and were hoping they could not only figure out why the truck was leaking oil, but also fix it for us…Joel, Matt, and the team at Midas took great care of us!

This is what customer service should look like: they were respectful, helpful, kind, and quick…everything you could ever hope for when you’re desperate to keep your small kids safe on the road. Even though they were super busy, they took the time to check out what was going on, make a very educated guess (they were right), and get us back to having a great weekend. Highly recommend them!! They saved our trip! They even gave us an extra print-out of our receipt to take back to the other place for reimbursement…the thought Joel put into every detail made loyal Midas customers of our family! And you better believe we will tell everyone!! Thank you all again!

I scheduled an appointment online, showed up and from the moment I stepped foot in the building, to the time I drove off; there was excellent customer service! Midas in Sheridan is the best auto repair shop. They helped us correct a heating system locked on in the middle of summer, shatter key fobs and most recently a flat tire in the middle of winter. These folks are great, friendly and professional, and they know their business. If you need vehicle work, these are the people to call!

My family and I were on a cross-country road trip when our car brakes starting grinding one evening as we got into Sheridan. We started calling around and couldn't get appointments, and we were on a tight timeline. Went to Midas the next morning and they were able to get us in immediately and put on new brake pads and rotors. We were back on the road by late morning. Were stranded in Sheridan when our van broken down. 12 different mechanic shops in town told us it would be one to three weeks before they would look at it. Midas had us in the next day and out that afternoon. They are amazing! Their customer service is outstanding.

Very nice people, they fit me in on a tight schedule so I didn’t have to wait over the weekend. Autozone misdiagnosed my issue, so Matt (the owner) explained the issue, and was very helpful.

Could not recommend this location enough! I am driving cross country and my check engine light came on suddenly. When I called, Tim was so incredibly helpful and eased my stress. I called many other places because I was scrambling to get my car looked at - and Tim was the only one who said he’d call me back and then actually did follow up (other shops said the same thing but never called back). The shop was busy but Tim still squeezed me in. He looked at my car immediately upon arriving and was honest the whole time. I never felt taken advantage of and/or uncomfortable during my time at the shop (unfortunately this has happened at other shops in the past being a woman). If you ever have issues or questions take your car to Midas (and ask for Tim!!). Thank you Tim and thank you to the Midas staff!

After living in Sheridan for 4 years, I finally went to Midas for new breaks. I wish I had been coming here for everything car related since the start. The staff is respectful and explains everything well - you do not feel like you are being swindled or sold things you don’t actually need. Mason is great and a gem of a person. Wish we weren’t moving - I would use this Midas for all my car repairs moving forward.

Replaced a power steering pump on my truck, stayed until 8:30 pm to try to get it done. Had a bad part from the parts house. Got it replaced again the following day so I can get back home with my travel trailer. Good group of guys that care about what they do.

We were on our way home to Oregon and they got our car today, allowed us to bring in our little dogs in the waiting room because it was so hot outside and gave us the friendliest and kindest service. I would rate this shop with an A plus. We truly appreciated the kind service

This review has nothing to do with the quality of work from the team at Midas. I have always had a great experience getting my vehicles serviced at Midas, this review, however, is about the insane pricing. I got a quote from Midas for front and back breaks, came out to $1200.00. I then went to another local Mechanic (Lightning Auto) and was quoted LESS THAN HALF OF THE PRICE MIDAS GAVE ME at $505. The quote for Lightning Auto also included new Rotars as well. As I said before, they local men and woman that work at Midas are amazing, But the corporate price gouging attached to a big name like Midas is sad.

The guys and gals are always very knowledgeable and efficient when I take my car in. The do the work and give me a heads up about any concerns they see. Never pressuring to have things done that don't need it like some other places. Great job!

Everybody was very thoughtful, explained everything very well and gave me all my options. I drive a European car and they handled everything with ease and at a fair price.

They always have great customer service. They helped me out by squeezing me in last minute. And they helped me figure out what has been wrong with my vehicle for a while.

These guys were fantastic. My car broke down Saturday afternoon when I was in Sheridan for hockey they got me in fast and stayed late to make the repair. That just doesn’t happen all the time.

Midas in Sheridan WY, will give you 100% plus of their dedicated time to be sure your vehicle is safe for the road. Their staff all do amazing work, nothing is a rush- let’s get it done and out.. I truly recommend Midas for “any” vehicle work, or even add-ons that you might want to consider.

Owner Matt is very knowledgeable and they stand by their service and will work to get it right. They can get busy and will try to work in walk-ins but call ahead and schedule an appointment so you don’t have to wait.
