Mid-Iowa Truck & Upholstery

I was quoted $500 plus tax for a tonneau cover. When I went to pay for it, I was told $550. I'm sure I would have remembered from the day before the difference between being told $500 and $550. I guess because I'm a woman the price was changed. They lost my business.

I called about a Tonneau cover for my truck, said they had one and could install same day. I was already in the area so stopped in and about a half hour later I had a cover for my pick-up bed. Impressed with the speed, price is reasonable. I would return each and every time for my Tonneau cover needs, as well as recommend to anyone who is needing one.

Walked in with an issue the dealer couldn't fix, he stopped what he was doing and fixed it on the spot no charge. Highly recommend.

They do an excellent job we had a vinyl cover put on and not one drop of water in the back great job!!!

They took care of a factory warranty issue for my sun roof. Service was quick and professional, no hassle and they got me scheduled as soon as the part came in. Nice experience.

I am not one of leaving bad reviews, but this establishment deserves it, in specific the owner. I am sure many people have had pleasant encounters with them but I had nothing but the worse. The owner cursed at me the moment I showed him a written statement that put one of his workers at fault for a mistake committed, he was no happy about it. It would have made sense for him to apologize for it and maybe provide a refund, but instead opted for cursing me out. I decided to be the bigger person and stepped out and took my business and time somewhere else. I will never again be doing business with such an ignorant and unprofessional man.

They work at a slow pace and like any small business may choose to not take on your job. However, if you have the time they do top notch work.

Prior to making the 2 hour drive to Mid Iowa Truck & Upholstery, we contacted the owner to see if he would be able to perform the work that we needed him to do. We were informed over the phone that he would be able to do the work. Two weeks later, we made the 2 hour drive to his shop in inclement weather. When we arrived and presented him with the door panel that we needed upholstered, he gave us a totally different story. It was almost like he was making excuses for not wanting to do the work. The customer service was not much to speak of and his business practice was appauling. If this is how he treats disabled military veterans who are dying, God forbid how he would treat a healthy civilian. We decided to file a complaint with the Veteran Advocate Rep at the Attorney Generals office for the State of Iowa so that our experience can be posted on their social media website for everyone to see. We eventually found another upholsterer from the recommendation of a friend, and they were more accommodating than Mid IOwa Truck & Upholstery. DON'T USE THEM!!! THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DIDN'T CARE THAT WE DROVE 2 HOURS TO GET TO THEIR STORE IN BAD WEATHER AND THEY CHANGE THEIR STORIES FROM WHAT THEY TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE VERSUS IN PERSON.

Great place! This family owned business has done it all! they have installed so many aftermarket applications for me that I cant even count. They have incredibly competitive pricing and aren't afraid of any work. They get the job done and get it done right! the know what they are doing. I don't even shop around. If these guys say they can do it this is where I get it done!
