After sustaining wind damage, we called David and he was out in less than an hour to our house. Throughout the insurance claim, David supported us through the process with meticulous detail and thorough knowledge of building code and restoration techniques.

We were able to get our whole roof replaced and covered by insurance due to David's help. The installation of the roof, sunroof, and gutter guards was quick, clean and impeccable.

We recently posted in a local Facebook group and David was very quick to respond on behalf of his company. We were in a situation where our homeowners insurance sent us a letter saying we were at risk of renewal if we didn’t resolve a few issues, mainly the roof. David was able to sneak us in to his busy schedule the very next morning and was very familiar with similar letters that have been going around. He not only inspected our roof in the entirety, but he was able to identify the issues pointed out in our home insurance letter right away and come up with a resolution at the same time. He was very thorough and professional and took the time to sit down and explain what his findings were which included detailed photos. Upon sharing the roof inspection report with our home insurance company, they actually said that the detail of the commentary within the report that aligned to the photos was probably the best that they have received - which it was less than 24 hours that our home insurance company renewed our policy upon the review.

Highly recommend, we’ll be using David and team for future roof items as it was such a smooth process to communicate and work with him.

I admit...I can be a tough customer. My father was a General Contractor for many years when I was growing up. I had high standards for contractors, and believe Dave exceeded these standards. If you are looking for a normal NoVa contractor that will sign a contract do average work and not follow up, Dave is not for you. If you are looking for a contractor who will tell it to you straight, treat each project as if it were his own home, and stay with you every step of the way...Michaelson Railey Improvements is the way to go.

We met Dave because he just finished doing the roof for our neighbor. He took a look at our roof and had some concerns. He walked the roof and found numerous problems from wind and hail. He then walked the property, and found similar issues with the siding. He helped us through the Insurance claim from Day 1...It took over a year dealing with Insurance and he never left our side, or walked away. Now, thanks to Dave's keen eye and incredible work ethic and accountability...We have a new Roof AND new siding.

In fact, Dave has such a broad network of subcontractors, that he helped us install a batting cage in our back yard, and coming back again for another project shortly. One of the projects we thought about never went through based on his recommendations. Like I said, he is a straight shooter...won't just take a job for the sake of money. He told me he would be happy to complete the work, but asked if what we wanted was really worth the money, and came up with alternatives. Never met another contractor who is willing to give up a higher paying job for lower paying one because it was better for the customer.

I admit, I can be a notoriously picky customer! It is pretty safe to say if I have had Dave out for multiple projects, he will make anyone a happy customer.

I had some wind damage on our house that pulled off a couple rows of siding. I had estimates from 2,000-6,000.
I then had David come out for an estimate and he pointed out that there was no water barrier and it could not just be repaired to code. the entire house would need to be redone with new siding and water barrier.
David submitted this to our homeowners and followed the process all the way through so that we got our entire house with brand new siding for only our deductible of 1,000!!

top notch service and the house looks great! its even warmer/cooler because the now we had proper insulation and water barriers between the siding and house.

I called MRI to do a roof inspection after we had some high winds come through. I didn't mention the roof was only a couple years old. David went on the roof, took pictures, and basically said the roof was in great shape and there wasn't much to worry about. I was impressed at how there was no pressure, no sales pitch, no hassle. We get people knocking on our door claiming to see damage from the ground, even when the roof was brand new! It was refreshing to have an honest assessment. David gave me peace of mind, that was most important
