We purchased a home built by MG Bros and realized there was faulty workmanship from one of the roofing subcontractors. Greg with MG Bros met with me to discuss the issues and ended up replacing our entire roof for us. He stood behind his work and took responsibility for subcontractor. We are very pleased with his professionalism and dedication.

Greg and his team turned my empty attic into a gorgeous living space. Custom cabinetry, skylights, tile work…everything turned into exactly what we wanted. Greg spent countless hours preparing and making every detail planned out before beginning the project. We now have a bedroom, sitting area, bar and full bath added on to our house that looks fluid and clean. As if it was always meant to be there. We are very happy with the outcome.

We hired MG Bros to build our transformative home addition and they did a stellar job! At the start, I could tell Greg and his team were extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented about every aspect of the home building process. I worked with a designer on his Luxahaus team to select all of the finishes on the project at the start of the project, which made the build process more efficient as we were able to order and store the finishes ahead of time. We purchased many of our finishes through Luxahaus including the triple pane European windows and doors, which were both high quality and reasonably priced. Greg and his team created a very detailed plan for the project and were on site frequently to ensure that the work was done well. Greg was also great with problem solving - any issue that came up, he was able to solve quickly. His team was also skilled with moving through the city permit process, coordinating details with the architect, and ensuring that we passed all city inspections. The end product was beautiful and exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend hiring MG Bros!

I contacted MG Bros for an estimate on a small addition to my house. After sending my architectural plans, the man that came out stayed less than 5 minutes and said he would send an estimate. I never heard back from him. I reached out and asked and was ghosted. If they don't want to bid on a project, I understand. They could at least return emails or phone calls. Not professional.

5 star experience! Everyone was so wonderful with our toddler running around while the project was going on. They kept us looped in anytime there was a potential for options to ensure they did everything according to our preference. High quality work and professionalism from the entire team. We had an excellent experience doing a major kitchen renovation + first floor remodel with MG Bros. From the very beginning, Greg showed extreme attention to detail, providing a much more itemized and understandable quote than any other contractor. Julisa was extremely helpful in planning the layout of the kitchen cabinetry, and all the other small details that go into planning a kitchen to make it look great while also optimizing function.

From start to finish, the communication on our project was excellent - we received continuous updates to the schedule, communication about any delays, and Greg quickly addressed any and all questions on our end. Every subcontractor exhibited professionalism, great attention to detail, and completed their portion of the project at a very high standard. Our project was complicated - we removed a load-bearing wall and had plumbing/HVAC/electrical/fire sprinkler system all in that wall. Greg coordinated with each subcontractor to get things moved quickly and efficiently. The installation of the kitchen went smoothly and we love our new space. We are extremely pleased with both the experience and the results, and will definitely use MG Bros for any future projects.

We had the pleasure of having MG Brothers Construction of Elk Grove Village, IL perform a reconstruction job on our enclosed back porch. Our Project Manager, Miroslaw, brought the blueprints to life within the timeframe agreed upon, used quality materials and worked very well with the Village inspector. His team provided superior workmanship including exceptional work ethics specifically during some horribly hot days. They are an amazing group of guys. The cost of the job was reasonable, especially considering the prices of wood, windows, doors, etc. nowadays. Saying that Greg and his team are really great to work with is a complete understatement. We had started a DIY job that went too far for us to really complete on our own safely and they were able to come in and prove what a difference going with a pro makes from start to finish at a terrific price. Everyone involved was a true professional, responded to any questions we had without making us feel weird for asking whatever we needed to know and just ended with some seriously incredible results for our kitchen remodel. We hired MG to do an interior renovation of our home in Evanston, which involved repainting nearly every room of the house, as well as significant electrical work, demolition, and carpentry. Jason led the project at out home, we were very happy with the work he and his team did.

They were not the cheapest bid we got, nor the most expensive, and we felt we got a good value based on the quality of their work and their attention to detail (which we’ve always found lacking with other contractors we’ve used in the past). They were very responsive and took all questions, concerns, and requests that we made throughout the process seriously, never grumbling about Anything. They were always very professional and addressed all issues and questions raised promptly, honestly, and with a can-do problem solving attitude, rather than looking for a way to charge more to address the concern. It seemed that their central concern was legitimately making sure we were satisfied with their work. It was incredibly refreshing after having pretty much the opposite experience with all prior contractors we’ve used.

One other thing that we think is worth specifically mentioning: we live in an older home and have toddlers, and so we naturally had concerns about lead going into the project. They took this seriously, provided all the required environmental documentation, and did everything to comply with the EPA recommendations and requirements for renovating homes with lead hazards. We felt that they took the concern very seriously and that Jason was monitoring everything that was done to make sure all precautions were being taken.

We will definitely go back to MG for our next project.

We decided to go with MG Bros for our home renovation project after getting bids from 4 different general contractors. Their pricing was more than fair and they were very easy to work with during the negotiation and build process. They gutted our kitchen, dining room, and three of our bathrooms while also overseeing the refinishing of all of our floors. They are very knowledgeable, flexible and professional and were able to finish all of the work on schedule and on budget. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do any type of home renovations.

We needed to add a mother-in-law suite to our house, and we spoke with a number of contractors, but MG was the only one who was able to identify all of the challenges we might face in the project, helping us to be prepared and avoiding surprises. Miro and his team were always responsive, no matter what time of day, and the workmanship is impeccable.

On top of that, we had decided (both for cost reasons and because we like doing it) that we were going to do some of the work on our own. Miro and his crew provided us with guidance and assistance, and they were extremely patient with us when lack of experience or busy lives caused delays. When we had bitten off more than we could chew, they pointed us to people who could help.

We have hired MG Bros for two major renovations and more recently an exterior restore and painting project. The quality of work was top notch. We had several companies come and bid the project but MG Bros came in with the best quote and timeline. It was an extensive project the required walls coming down and a lot of mechanicals that needed to be relocated. This was our first time tackling something of this magnitude and we were quite anxious. Greg has a gift of talking people off the ledge with his calm demeanor. The crews that came out were always punctual and ALWAYS cleaned up before they left for the day.

My only criticism, and it is a small one, is that we had some miscommunication regarding the scope of work and the timeline...both of which were quickly and accurately addressed.

I would (and already did) recommend MG Bros. This company genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. Inevitably there will be issues in a construction project. The key is identifying the issue, communication and resolution. Greg, Jason and Maggie responded promptly to all questions and/or concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate to call MG if I have another construction project.

It’s very hard to find good and reliable general contractor. MG Bros is one of them. As a subcontractor we work with them for over a year on big and small projects. Never had any issues. We hired MG Bros for a home addition and remodel. They are a great company to work with and we are very happy with the results! The work was completed on time and on budget, and communication throughout the project was excellent. We have an older home, so some "surprises" were expected as old work was uncovered, but all of these were quickly identified, communicated, and resolved. They and their subcontractors were neat, qualified, and exhibited a high attention to detail. We highly recommend them, and would use them again in the future.

I was so pleased with his work on the garage that I also hired him to remodel my kitchen. Greg's knowledge and expertise is immeasurable.
