Not too happy with the customer service here. Started calling on Monday (left a voicemail), Called 5 times on Monday(7/8/24) then again on Tuesday, and finally spoke with someone who got some prices and info. I emailed them the info needed (sent a follow-up email yesterday) and didn't get a response until today when I called to find out he was waiting on the back shop people... then sat on hold for the majority of our 10-minute call. Feeling annoyed I called Watsons Metal only to get cheaper prices and better customer service.

Just a note to let you know that I find your company one of the best to do business with . I ordered a 21 x 20 carport with storage space. It’s exactly what I needed. Very affordable too.

The construction team was on site when they told me. They gave a estimated time of completion & what to expect. They were right on! Very professional people.

I recommend your company on any project.

Thanks

If your trying to get things done with unlimited patience this might be the place for you. A small order took days to complete. Service is stretched super thin. Waited over 20 min to pick up the material I paid for because the salesman felt it was more important to take a call and leave current customers outside waiting in the cold to be handed out material.

I am a roofing contractor and I purchased a standing seam metal roof from Metal Max in Murfreesboro Tn. After installing the roof we discovered that every panel had waves in the metal. Unfortunately we installed this a week where there was no sun light and you couldn't notice these waves until the sun hit it just right. I contacted Metal Max and their general manager Vaughn Baccon and another gentleman met me and my roofing installer to look at the roof. They picked up two panels on the ground held them side ways and proceeded to walk around the house. Without actually getting on the roof they made the statement that the waves were caused by over tightened screws. I offered to remove multiple panels for them to visually see they were not over tightened. They stated that it was not necessary and told me not to worry that they would take care of the problem. A few days after that I received a short email stating that Metal Max accepts no responsibility and the waves were due to being over tightened. I disagreed with their statement and have offered multiple times to meet the general manager at the job and witness us removing the panels. He has refused to meet after multiple attempts. On 11/09/18 I sent a text message to my salesman at Metal Max to inform Vaughn Baccon we would be at the property on 11/10/18 removing multiple panels in various locations and taking pictures. Not one representative from Metal Max showed up to the jobsite I have been a roofing contractor and a general contractor for 30 years and I have never in my career been subject to such disregard by a supplier. I have asked Vaughn Baccon for his superiors information and he has refused. This General Manager should be fired from his position.

Very good customer service and prices are excellent. Also has a great selection of colors. The lady behind the counter is beautiful. Even if you don't need a roof you should stop by just to say Hi to her. Lol

If they don't drop your order you are sure to get only a partial order loaded to ensure many repeat visits. Quotes are no good and must be re-written. Then the price goes up. Save money and time and visit discount metal in Shelbyville. Whole staff has a poor lackadaisical attitude in Murfreesboro.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
