Mead Lumber of Butte

You know there isn't much to choose from in Butte. So one would think that on a Saturday they could be open all day considering most home projects happen on a weekend. Who closes at 1? These new owners must no care. Back to the box stores I will go. This inferiates me. Shop local, ha. Open up !

Very good service. Staff was polite and helpful. Offered to carry out heavy items. Store is clean and easy to find the items I needed.

During times when most people that hold positions for companies lack 2 out of the 3 essential skills needed to hold that position it was refreshing to deal with a place that makes the customer the #1 priority..
I took a sketch in to them with an idea in mind and he put it together. Building material lists and costs, engineered truss plans, foundation specs with stamped subfloor plans and costs.
I was concerned about the undertaking of doing all this from ground up without actual blueprints but with this company anyone can do it.

Just started to use them. Must say they have a great staff. So far they have had what ever I need. My new go to hardware store.

Pretty embarrassing that an employee follows you out the door and asks you to lift your hurt up to see what you are stealing. When it’s just a colostomy bag. Especially when you were never more then 6 feet from the counter seeing if they had red wood. Will never return to this place.

Great place to shop any building needs. They have it all and what a joy to see a smile and share their knowledge .

The lumber is priced higher than big box stores by 25-30%. Plywood is 100% more than I've since found elsewhere. The 3 stars are for the full service aspect of the lumber yard. They load your vehicle, but this means you get what they give you. No sorting or selecting good boards for your project. I've had mixed results with asking for straighter or undamaged lumber. Sometimes they say "no problem" and other times they say, "that's all we have", despite a pile of wood clearly visible. Everything else is overpriced compared to other shopping options. Drive an hour or 2 and save a bunch in Bozeman or Missoula. If you’re in a hurry, limber up your pocket book. You’re gonna be shocked.
