Tanner arrived promptly, called ahead as promised , and was clean and courteous during the entire service visit. He showed us what to inspect on firebrick and gave us a prediction of when to have the chimney cleaned next based on our wood consumption patterns. I didn’t even need to vacuum the carpets after he left, he was so tidy. Highly recommend, MCP is also affordable , especially during their summer special.

MCP completed masonry work on our chimney two years ago and we were very satisfied. Last week, during the storms, water was coming through the fireplace. MCP was able to send Tim out within a few days. He called Tim was great! He even came earlier than expected. Knowledgeable and friendly. He did a thorough inspection and discovered that the previous work was all intact and the cause was debris in the gutters. He made one small minor caulking and did not charge for his time. We definitely recommend MCP Chimneys for those who need chimney and masonry work.

We got great service from this company! Our estimate came with pictures and descriptions. The technician arrived on time and was very polite and helpful. We have a second chimney to fix and we will use this company without hesitation.

The tech called in advance of his arrival and was actually a few minutes early. Did a thorough inspection and cleaning and made some helpful suggestions.

Tim called to let me know he would arrive in 30 minutes. He was polite, professional and patient. He looked on the roof and took pictures. He then explained to me what the pictures revealed. Nothing! I felt reassured and I believed he was competent and correct.

Great communication, on time and prepared, do great work and explain to you every step of the way what they are doing so you understand. Prices are very reasonable and fair

MCP (Branden) was outstanding in designing and installing two gorgeous glass fireplace doors for our outdoor fireplaces. Now we can enjoy being outside with out the ash flying everywhere. Highly recommend MCP for all of your chimney & masonry needs.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with MCP Chimney & Masonry. I contacted them for a straightforward cosmetic repair to a chipped foundation wall—nothing structural. I even provided a stamped report from a licensed structural engineer confirming that the work was purely cosmetic. Carolyn responded quickly and scheduled an estimate. I called to confirm that the job was within their scope, and they said yes.

So I rearranged my work schedule and took time off to meet a mason between 10:00–12:00. Then, right at 10:00, I get an email—not a call, an email—saying no one was coming and the job was suddenly “outside their scope.” No explanation. No courtesy. Just a last-minute cancellation after I’d already made the effort and commitment.

This level of disregard for a customer’s time is beyond unprofessional—it’s flat-out disrespectful. If this is how they treat people before a job even starts, I can only imagine the disaster that follows if you actually hire them. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. MCP Chimney & Masonry is a complete waste of time.

Aaron has been here twice recently to work on my gas fireplace. He repaired it first, then came back and installed a fan. Aaron and everyone at the office are friendly and professional. I'll be using MCP from now on to maintain my fireplace.

Growing up in a 1700’s rural home with 7 fireplaces, I was too young to understand how important these inspections are. As a first time homebuyer with 2, I know. Tanner was great! He was thorough and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain things to me, pointed out issues and we discussed different options of repair and replacement for safe use and bring them up to code for future use. I would definitely recommend to others.

After our roofer suggested we call a mason to repair our chimney we had a few companies come out to give us quotes on the repair. MCP was the obvious choice. They were thorough and timely. Since all of their work was exterior it did not disrupt our day at all and the chimney looks great. Tom and Adam were so nice and they were eager to answer all of our questions. We wouldn't hesitate to call them back for any chimney or general masonry work in the future. Will definitely recommend MCP to anyone that asks for insight on a great chimney or masonry company!

I scheduled an inspection for my wood burning fireplace since there was smoke filling my house. Justin gave me great advice for preventing that from happening again. I will be using MCP again for my next cleaning.

Prompt, professional and thorough. MCP is easy to work with and they have good technicians who know their stuff. They aren't the cheapest out there, but they are worth it.

We just had our chimney inspected this morning by Tanner from MCP Chimney & Masonry, who was very professional and thorough. We originally scheduled for an inspection and a cleaning, but the cleaning was unnecessary so he came in lower than the quoted price, which was great and unexpected. He also was very informative about the features of our existing fireplace as well as answering questions about a potential switch to gas. We are definitely keeping MCP Chimney & Masonry on our list of home service companies. Tanner was really great!

MCP Chimney & Masonry did everything right! Aaron wore protective coverings on his shoes, called in advance to give me an ETA, explained everything, was polite and articulate. I learned so much about my gas fireplace! He gave me confidence about lighting the pilot light and figured out why there was an odd odor (dust on the logs). I called MCP chimney & masonry for an inspection and cleaning for my wood stove. They scheduled me after advising of costs, which is great. The day of the appointment the technician, Tanner, called me to let me know he was on his way and his ETA… also great. He showed up on time and was able to answer all my questions. Thank you MCP and thank you Justin! My damper had fallen out of my chimney to my shock as I was trying to adjust my pilot light. He assured me it would be an easy fix and luckily it was. He cleaned out the debris that had also accumulated over the years and fixed it less than 5 mins. No it's good as new!

MCP Masonry installed and hardwired an electric fireplace insert (Simplifire 25) and the technician did a wonderful job. He carefully explained everything to me and got the work done quickly. I’m very happy with the job MCP Chimney did and highly recommend them.

Aaron was amazing!!! He was so courteous and professional. He definitely knows about fireplaces, especially our brand -Heat-N-Glo. He was very thorough, dis-assembling, cleaning, testing and re-assembling the fireplace. He checked the entire system out and even went outside and checked the vent/shoot. Our tech showed up on time, called to let me know when he would be onsite, he was very courteous, explained how everything was going to work cleaned up any dirt from chimney, went over what types at wood are best to use, and if you can keep it dry it will be better for the fireplace , just a very friendly technician ,will be recommending him and the company to my neighbors

MCP Chimney came out this morning to inspect my flue and clean out my dryer vent. Tanner Cope was A+ from his phone call telling me he was coming until he finished both jobs. He was courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He shared with me several suggestions that were very helpful. I would highly recommend MCP Chimney to anyone needing their services and if possible request that Tanner be the one they send.

Classic Design Group (CDG) installed the gas fireplace when I had my basement finished. I did not get to use the fireplace until a couple of years later, immediately faced a lot of issues when first time using it. Couldn’t get CDG to even come and take a look at the issues, dodged, claiming that it passed county inspection and that it has passed their one year warranty. I took matter in my hand, emailed and many phone calls with Woodland Direct, the fireplace pros online which then sent a fireplace installer to come and inspect it. Found out the gas valve was cracked during installation. The plumber who installed it, replaced the valve. He then noticed there was something wrong with the flame, coincidentally I happened to be outside when the fireplace was turned on, and I smelled gas the entire time. Reached back out to CDG, who took a long time to respond and/or made all kind of excuses for not promptly address this safety hazard. 2 years later and still not fixed, I decided to contact the county inspector only to be told that the fireplace was not installed at the time the inspection was conducted and there was no follow up inspections scheduled indicating that the installation was complete and inspected. I immediately contact several fireplace installers to have the unit checked. MCP was one of 4 that I contacted. I was able to get an appointment the next morning. Aaron was very knowledgeable and thorough with the inspection as soon as he learned that the fireplace never got inspected by the county. He immediately identified the issue with the installation and was able to fix it. He was also very patient in showing me the remote features. I will definitely call MCP for my fireplace needs in the future.

Honesty - When Justin from MCP came to do an inspection, he honestly told me there was nothing I needed to hire him for, and he told me what maintenance I could do myself. Out of the four inspections I scheduled with different companies, MCP is the only one who didn’t try to sell me on an expensive, unnecessary repair.

We had our annual chimney maintenance visit today and it went smoothly as always. Tanner was so professional. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way and was so informative. I wish all companies were as great as MCP.
