Justin and his team worked with me to rebuild my home after a fire. They were open and communicative the whole time and I appreciate them making sure I was happy with the outcome the whole way. Justin kept to the budget and was always prompt in calling or texting me. My house turned out beautifully.

We had a very bad water leak in the wall between the laundry room and kitchen. The water damage was pretty bad, kitchen floors and lower cabinets. The sheet rock in the laundry and kitchen along with the carpet in the hallway. Justin Netzel and his dedicated crew (Dave,Chris and Ryan) went beyond our expectations,they were friendly, knowledgeable, meticulous and very hard working. We now have a beautiful kitchen that exceeded our expectations. Thank you Justin and crew for all your hard work.

We had a house fire that was for all intents and purposes a total loss. The folks at McGinnis were easy and great to work with from the Project Manager Justin, the Construction Lead Dave, and the Construction Techs Jorge and Jaime. They've stuck with the job to finish up the little tweaks to things to make things work for us. We would definitely reccomend them and use them again for any remodeling.

Recently was getting my bathroom remodeled because of a flood. I had a very hard time getting ahold of the project manager. Seems he only called me back when he needed something from me. But when I had questions he never replied. Seems the work was done okay. We had a few complaints about quality of work and the workers smoking near the doors of the house. They were coming in smelling like smoke I asked them plz don't smoke and then come inside. The one worker said "I can do what I want when I'm on my break". I talked to Justin about the worker and he told me he couldn't give me his name for a review. All I know is he was a slimmer older man and had a goatee. Other than that the process was ok. If it happened again. I wouldn't go to this company I don't think.

This crew has helped with putting our home back together after we experienced water damage. They are a great team and we appreciate them helping us during such a stressful time. We had a major water damage from a pipe coming loose from under our sink in our kitchen from a bad plumbing job that was done back in September 2024. Nat Graves and his team did a wonderful job helping walk us through the restoration process and restoring our home to even better than it was before.

In less than three months, Nat and his team ripped out our tile backsplash in our kitchen, removed multiple cabinets and rebuilt them to match existing ones in our kitchen, and replaced our old engineered hardwood floor floors with LVP floors from Coretec.

In addition to their team doing a wonderful job, they went above and beyond and helped us lift our more than 200 pound new table into our dining room and assemble it. They also hauled off a lot of extra garbage such as boxes and old materials we no longer needed after our floors were replaced.

I’ve worked with McGinnis Restoration and Construction on two separate projects at my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Last year, we had a leak in our kitchen that led to damage of our floors, walls, downstairs ceiling, and cabinetry. Despite the leak being relatively minor, two previous contractors were unable to complete the restoration job. When we called John and his team (Chris & Tim) to ask for help, they had quite the project ahead of them. By this time the project had been left for almost a year unrepaired. Chris and Tim didn't even blink an eye though, and got to work. They ensured that our flooring, walls, paint, cabinetry, and baseboards were restored to new condition. They matched everything perfectly, including the new paint which blends unnoticeably into our previous paint job. They completed the job in only a few weeks and did so under budget. We are incredibly thankful for their work and their expedience. We would highly recommend John and his crew to anyone in need of work.

In November of 2024 our kitchen flooded due to a small refrigerator leak. It was the worst feeling in the world and at the time I felt absolutely hopeless! Then McGinnis Restoration & Construction came to the rescue and eased all our worries. It is not a fast process dealing with renovations but our Project Manager- Jon Garinger took care of everything with our insurance company and made sure our home was restored to it's original condition. His Construction Lead- Chris and Construction Tech-Tim were thorough and met all of our needs. Even when I'm sure I was just being picky! Thank you too all the other members on their crew for getting our home and lives back on track! McGinnis was the second of the 2-part remediation/reconstruction stemming from a new neighbor's flooding of the kitchen, hall and a closet of our apartment in downtown Portland, OR. This happened in mid-June. The remediation (ServPro) was a mini-disaster.
"Like it never happened" didn't happen here.
The common wall between our unit and the flooding neighbor was removed and a grossly inadequate plastic barrier was put in place with duct tape. The neighbor's remediation (another company) dislodged the insecure barrier; and our unit was flooded with plaster dust and mold. Every inch of the condo had to be treated for mold; and some was found in remote parts on retesting.

Mcginnis began work in July; and failed to complete the work in time for the arrival of our guests (our children) for Xmas eve.
Yes, it took more than 6 months to reconstruct/remediate.
At the final visit (in January, 2025) there were more than 60 blue tape dings that had been neglected; and the replacement dishwasher was still inoperable.

The exposure to dust and mold forced us to acquire other sleeping quarters for most of the 8 months; and has left me, personally, with a chronic cough that is only slowly reponding to treatment.

The final product is actually an improvement over the unsullied apartment. The eventual quality is quite acceptable. Another replacement, the hot water heater, did have a failed part denovo, which required another round of workmanship; but in the end the result is fine.

It's just hard to be enthusiastic about 8 months of discomfort, dust and mold intrusion and a degree of owner oversight that I would rate as significantly greater than I expected.
(I've renovated 14 apartments/homes; and have never had to supervise as carefully and at this level of detail).

I definitely cannot recommend ServPro; and would not be enthusiastic in a recommendation for McGinnis.

I do like the new floor, though. McGinnis found an exceptional product vastly superior to what had been in place.

Our second time to use McGinnis Restoration & Construction. They communicated real well with our insurance company which took the burden off my husband and myself. Project manager Joel C. Carefully laid out all the information for us and kept the job moving along at a good pace. Joel also checked in often to see how things were going, but Lead Construction Hector R always had things well under control. Hector and his crew, Miguel and Tony were a pleasure to have working inside our home. They were always courteous and polite. I appreciated that they didn't play loud music or use foul language as I've known other construction workers to do. All said and done we can honestly say we're very pleased with the work that we had done. We'll use McGinnis again if the need presents itself. Good job guys!

We have a home in Albany. The restoration process was started about 3 yrs ago! It was supposed to get complete a year ago. There is a fence around the yard. Unfortunately the house was broken into and more damage was done! The amount of time we have seen any work done on the house is not often! It only takes maybe a year to build a new home! The last phone call we were asked what needed to be finished? That's not our job. Maybe finish the plumbing! The walls! The doors need locks! The trim! Remove the fence! Overall make sure it is in rental conditions! We paid $150,000 and can't even get a date it may be completed!!

A big thank you to McGinnis Restoration and Construction plus their ServPro division for their services after pipes broke during winter storm at Mom's house ! From our 1st contact with them and throughout the entire restoration process, each person we interacted with was professional, caring, and compassionate. We benefitted from their experience, excellent communication skills, and dedication at each point during the process from the office staff to Jon, the project manager, plus the entire construction team of Chris, Jacob, and Bill as well as other team members. Mom/Grandma was very happy throughout the process and the team put her at ease.

Following a house emergency Justin, Ralph and Adam were a great team. From communication about plans to quality of completion, I am a a happy customer. I would request them again, but hopefully no home emergencies for awhile!

We had a plumbing disaster that originated on an upper floor in our high-rise condo building. The bathroom vanity, wood flooring, some baseboards and sheetrock in our studio condo were destroyed. We tried working with our insurance company, but they were unresponsive and unhelpful. A neighbor recommended McGinnis Restoration and Construction. They worked directly with our insurance company to get us a fair settlement, helped us find the right flooring and managed the entire project start to finish. We are very satisfied with our restored condo. Justin and his team (Dave, Carlos, Bill, Ralph and Adam) did an excellent job. We highly recommend them.

Due to extensive water damage in our home the mitigation and restoration process was complicated Ian Boughman and his crew worked extra hard to see that out project was finished as quickly as possible and did a great job. I highly recommend them for any project. The crew was very courteous, thoughtful and helpful in keeping us in the loop as the work progressed. One of the workers (Tony) put in extra hours to ensure that we had necessary access to work areas. couldn't be more satisfied with these folks. They are an outstanding company.

With extensive water damage to our home, we were apprehensive about the reconstruction process. Thanks to the hard-working manager and even more hard-working crew at McGinnis, there were no worries to be had. From the start, they were on-time. The crew worked tirelessly on installing floors in three rooms and tile in a bathroom, often going the extra mile (in terms of both work and hours) so we wouldn't be inconvenienced. They were friendly and very professional, and always kept us in the loop with their progress and the timelines on the work they were doing as well as several "little things" (such as replacing a bathroom doorstop) that I don't believe other workers would catch, let alone care about.

Project manager Ian Baughman worked closely with our insurance company, often overcoming delays and roadblocks in getting our claim processed. His efforts gave us much-needed peace of mind - and results - during a very difficult time.

We are happy and very satisfied with the quality and look of the crew's work - as well as the project management - and would absolutely recommend McGinnis should anyone be looking at their services.

Randy's work on our flooring is as good as I could have hoped for. The quality of the material is as good as I'd expect. Randy quickly addressed any concerns I had and completed the jobs as painless as possible given the amount of work needing to be done.
Kirk painted the replacement drywall and matched the color so well that we cannot tell there had been any damage or new paint on the walls and ceiling. I know how difficult it is to match old paint with new paint. We cannot tell when the new and the old meet.
Cody and Nat were very accommodating to our needs throughout the construction process. They were positive, pleasant and courteous. They kept us informed on what to expect and any changes to the timeline on when the job would be completed.
I would highly recommend to anyone who my need to have quality, efficient work done on their house. They are experienced with working with our insurance companies. That made it even more easy to helping us navigate through what was a traumatic incident of a blown bib pouring water onto our flooring.

Water heater burst. Lots of damage. It took 4 1/2 months to get the job done. The countertop people messed up bad so would never recommend them the demolition people were not careful on some things. Jason Baker was the main one that did the work after the demolition people and he did a very good job.

Matt and Cody have truly gone above and beyond. They are hard working, experienced, efficient, and just so very polite and agreeable. I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They are meticulous in their efforts to do excellent work .

We felt confident and were very happy with Matthew, who was the Project Manager for our job. He was attentive and addressed all questions throughout. Tim was the on-site builder and his work was perfect. The painters, who were subcontracted, did an amazing job as well. We were very happy from beginning to end with the efficiency and quality of our job.

They were able to match our existing paint perfectly and you can't even tell where the repairs were done. These three people are certainly a testament to McGinnis Enterprises and their goal to complete their work accurately, and ensuring the customer is totally satisfied. I was also quite impressed with the one subcontractor (a stonemason) who completed the rock work on the chimney. If I didn't know better, I would assume he was another valued employee of McGinnis. He displayed the same courtesy and professionalism of the employees and was a great addition to the team. Nat Graves and everyone on his brew did a great job for us. From filing our initial insurance claim to final walk through they took care of us and assured quality work. Our kitchen and bedroom ended up being better than they had been before the water damage. Nat kept things on track and was always available when we needed him.

Randy handled many aspects of the project and was terrific. Repairing and replacing sheet rock, laying sub flooring and flooring and whatever else needed to be done.

Jesse and Marlon did a great job painting our kitchen, hallway, and bedroom during reconstruction following water damage.

They answered all of our questions before they started, listened carefully about certain details, and took care of everything we asked them to do. All of our floors, cabinets, furniture, and personal items were covered and protected.

Had a wonderful experience with McGinnis and Justin Netzel. As well as all the sub contractors. They communicated extremely well and followed up when I had questions or concerns. McGinnis was phenomenal during our dishwasher leak repair. A brand-new dishwasher leaked in our new kitchen. It had to then be taken out (including the subfloor in the impacted area) & all of our floors had to also be replaced because they were continuous throughout. Hello! I wanted to take the time to sing the praises of JD and Trenton. They have gone above and beyond for my elderly parents in their kitchen remodel. It is one thing to do good work, and another to care about the people you're helping. We used McGinnis in conjunction with Serve Pro for our floor and wall repairs after a pipe leak causing damage to our sheetrock and wood floors. Our project manager, Jon, did a great job communicating throughout the repairs. While I cannot remember everyone's name, each person was friendly, clean and professional. We were happy with the final results and happy to have our repairs fixed.

I recently had significant water damage at my home from a malfunctioning dishwater. Justin walked me through all my options and stayed in close contact with me throughout the cleanup and all of the repairs. I would have had no idea on how to schedule all the contractors, get quotes and deal with my insurance. Justin made it easy and my wife and I are thrilled with the final results. Our kitchen, flooring and countertops look fantastic. I highly recommend Justin and everyone at McGinnis Construction. They are the best.

Justin and his team were terrific to work with. We were told an almost impossible timeline to have our house rebuilt and it was met by Justin’s team. We felt supported through the whole process and knew that the owner Matt cared about us meeting our deadlines as well.

The restoration of my floors was beautiful after a water situation. The Servpro in and out of furniture was a nightmare. Justin with McGinnis is amazing! He maintained contact with me every week at least. Justin made the lack of oversight by whomever oversees Servpro better. servpro move in move out needs serious retraining.

I called ServPro and Mcginnis Enterprises for a major water leak in my mobile home. It required a new floor, flooring and wall replacement in two rooms. Justin Shipley supervised and Darrl and Jacob did a great job. They were professional and thorough. I am very happy with the end result.
