Six 150-180 ft fir trees hit our home during 2023 Nov storm. Capt Rick McCarthy was my 4th contact in the aftermath damage. He was the only person who remained committed to helping us restore our home. He showed up. He showed up with 122 pg detailed damage report and thorough inspection. He showed up w detailed analysis bids. He worked with insurance. He worked with our attorney when ins refused to cover damages.

He ensured roof damage was immediately protected and that "temp" protection lasted for the 2 yrs we were in court w ins. He showed up for emergencies, questions, and outrageous ins stalling tactics like assigning 15 different field and desk agents. He showed up with irrefutable documentation and expertise.

McCarthy didn't just expertly restore our home and the extensive damages we incurred from the city's trees. Multiple areas of the home were slammed. See pics. They continuously showed up first!

McCarthy's showed up no matter what. They professionally and consistently communicated with us, the city, the attorneys, subs, and a revolving door of ins negligible dismissals. His staff, Jen!!, and Kevin - to everyone he assigned: were incredibly conscientious, professional, caring, and attentive. Their workmanship is impeccable. Hard stop.

If there is ever another emergency or repair needed, Mccarthy's will be our **First** phone call. Understand this- calling Rick first, means not having to call 20 others who don't show up or cause more delays.

We had sewage leakage and needed Hazmat to clean up after the plumbing was fixed. The crew was friendly, easy to communicate, came in on time, cleaned things thoroughly and quickly. They put up tarps to make sure they wouldn’t leave anything behind. Very good job, highly recommend.

McCarthy Team worked on my two small bathrooms, doing water damage repairs and some upgrades. The work was done well. They also worked with my insurance to provide the needed photos and paperwork. Everyone involved was pleasant to work with, and they accommodated my household needs to stay home. They also worked in some changes that I thought of while the main work was in progress. I’ll use them again.

I called McCarthy Construction in the morning and Rick was at my house at 11:30 sharp and looked at the leak under the house. Said he would come back at 3:30 and he was right on time to fixed a pin hole leak in my copper pipe. He then sent two young men a few days later, Hunter and Myles to replace the visqueen and take out the wet insulation. Put in 5 dryers. Very professional. Introduced themselves, told me all they were going to do, took pictures; before and after to share with me. Thank you Rick for coming to my aid so quickly. You have great employees.

We were very fortunate to have found McCarthy Construction after a tree struck our home. They were very responsive and quick to protect our home from further weather damage. They put our mind at ease and offered support through the insurance process. During the long repair process, their communication was regular and thorough. Attention to detail in the restoration was very good. They went the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction. We highly recommend their services.

I wrote a review several months ago but, apparently, it didn't go through. I want people to know how fantastic McCarthy General Contractors were when they worked on our home. Unbeknownst to us, our toilet was leaking under the flooring, into the bathroom behind it and to the ceiling in the room below. McCarthy General Contractors came out, assessed the damage and worked with our insurance company. Thanks to them our insurance company covered the repairs. Everyone was fantastic. 5 stars to the office staff (Jen, Karla and Anthony) the young man who came out and took multiple pictures, Josh (who oversaw the work) and our wonderful crew who did an amazing job (Israel and Carlos). No questions were too ridiculous, they were amazingly patient with us as we'd never been through this before and were always friendly and helpful. Israel and Carlos always went the extra mile for us. When they said goodbye on the final day it was like saying goodbye to friends. We were incredibly lucky to have been referred to McCarthy General Contractors. We would highly recommend them. McCarthy GC was truly exemplary. I experienced a home flood the same week that I was moving to a new state and starting a new job. Through an incredibly stressful and uncertain time in my life, contractor Anthony and contents team lead Jen have been timely, empathetic, and professional. Their response and action have been immediate and proactive. They have also been nothing but patient and supportive through a lengthy insurance adjustor process. I feel that I can trust them fully. Not only has their work been thorough and effective, I know that they have my best interest at heart. I never want to experience again a home flood but, if I must, there is no other team I would want to help me recover than McCarthy.

We recently had water problems in our house with a leaky pipe between the utility room and family room. I had to find a contractor to fix it and a friend of ours had suggested we use McCarthy General Contractors out of Smokey Point Marysville. I reached out to them to see if they could get me on their schedule to come take a look and give me an estimate to repair the damages. I can say that McCarthy Gen Contractor operates like a well greased wheel! Anthony took the bull by the horns and started the process and even took over all communication with my insurance company. Jen and Hunter coordinated and monitored things perfectly. Greg and Preston were in charge of coming in and tearing out all the damaged area and did a wonderful job. Then it was time for Israel and Carlos to come in and put it all back together. They did an absolute wonderful job! Now that the job is completed, the house looks wonderful and we couldn’t be happier. I would absolutely recommend their services to everyone if you were to find yourself in a similar situation. A big shout out to the entire crew! You folks rock!

McCarthy did a great job for us after an interior water leak that affected four rooms in our house. We used them to both minimize the damage to our house and also in the reconstruction of the affected rooms. A special thank you to Mike and Myles for their meticulous work in the reconstruction phase. They were perfectionists and their attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Well done!

We contracted with McCarthy and his team for a presenting roof water leak remediation and restoration; we really appreciated the effort and knowledge they brought to the estimation process and we selected them to complete the restoration job. Unfortunately, during the time of the demo of the ceiling, our flooring was dented and scratched. Once McCarthy and his team were alerted of this issue, Rick came to our house himself and offered reasonable, appropriate solutions; the solutions, from our point of view, were above and beyond and demonstrated his genuine kindness and respect for us as clients. We have appreciated Rick and his teams continued responsiveness throughout this process and would absolutely recommend his services. Thanks for making our space feel like home again!

What impressed me most about McCarthy’s was the excellent communication provided by the office staff. They helped us navigate the insurance claim and were on top of things every step of the way. The staff is friendly and professional-the workmanship was wonderful as well.

Update: Jessica contacted me today and said the owner, Rick, may be able to come out and provide next steps for us although they primarily work insurance jobs. Unfortunately, although we pay for homeowners insurance, the original home contractor compacted the flashing or did not install, which causes the dry rot at the kitchen slider down to subfloor/crawlspace and per insurance cannot be covered. Hopefully Rick can come out and provide next steps and they do not have staff currently to take on this non-insurance job. Thank you to Jessica for follow through contacting me and for informing employees on how to educate customers if they will get bids or not.

I had Anthony from McCarthy Construction out twice for quotes and both times neither Anthony, Jessica or Rick returns my call, either way, if they will bid the job or not. Both times water damage, this time dry rot in our kitchen. Still waiting for a return call, hoping to keep dollars local. And they have good reviews. Disappointed.

From start to finish, The McCarthy Team were wonderful!! To begin with, they were extremely quick in minimizing the damage of a burst pipe in our kitchen. They were all extremely friendly and helpful through the entire process. Rick, Jen, Hunter, Mike, Tyler, and all the guys in the rebuilding team were excellent. The quality of work is outstanding!! Rick (owner/operater of McCarthy General Contractors) has INTEGRITY, a determined work ethic and is pleasant to work with. I had a mystery leak that he promptly located, discovered the root of problem, dried out residual water damage & repaired all within record time.

He also educated me on power consumption and re-worked my portable A/C units, to help me survive this mid July heat, simply because he's an awesome guy! AND, one more thing, he tolerates my yappy dog and EVEN gives him treats! Give him a call TODAY!!!

We were referred to McCarthy General Contractor by someone else in the field whom we trust. Rick's team reached out to us immediately and was able to come out and access the leaking toilet and potential damage to the flooring. They understood that time was of the essence and went straight to work with moisture readings/going into the crawl space and setting up a dehumidifier. From start to finished we are very pleased with everything. It looks like nothing ever happened!

McCarthy General installed a sump pump for us about 1 1/2 years ago - when we had an inspection of the house for sale the inspector requested the drain be relocated - I called McCarthy to see if they would correct the issue and they immediately agreed to do that. I would recommend their services to any northwesterners with drainage and house restoration issues. Thank you Rick for a timely repair

I had a significant hot water damage issue. This team came out the same day to resolve the leak and worked wonders to mitigate the damage and restore the affected rooms back to normal. They even helped me deal with State Farm who attempted to hold back appropriate funding for many months. A huge shout out to this wonderful team effort!

We are quite pleased with the repair work for water damage to the ceiling and bathroom. The tile work by Isreal and crew is amazing and the ceiling repair is seamless! Jen and Josh checked in regularly and went the extra mile to make sure our needs were met. McCarthy was recommended to us, and i highly recommend them, as well!

Dishwasher leak under laminate floor. Called McCarthy based off from the reviews. Insurance work.. but they really overpriced the job. My floor before never squeaked when we walked,now our new floor has numerous areas that the new flooring is squeaky when you step on the area. Overall I was happy with the service, but the floor quality looks good ,but doesn't sound good. I upgraded my kithen cabinets, and their are 2 spots were they just have waisted space,even with slider inserts.

5/2025: After repairing our water line issues last year, The McCarthy Team worked on several larger projects in our home, and we could not be more pleased with their work. From quick and regular communication, attention to detail, and excellent workmanship, each person on the team went above and beyond. We are grateful to everyone who worked on at least one, if not most or all, of our projects: Rick, Jen, Israel, Carlos, Mike, Hunter, Myles, Preston, Daniel, and Anthony – thank you! Each of them worked very hard to make sure all the details were taken care of, and it shows in the final products. Projects included a replumb due to aging pipes, repair of a failed shower pan that led to water damage in the adjacent drywall, an additional complete bathroom remodel, and a full kitchen remodel. It gave us such peace of mind knowing McCarthy was there to work with us on any issue that came up, big or small. We also appreciated that they listened to what we wanted, and they helped come up with those solutions throughout all of the projects. We do not hesitate to recommend the McCarthy Team for any home project, water-related or otherwise.

6/2024: We have had two urgent water issues, and the McCarthy Team helped us with both. They responded very quickly and were able to get both situations repaired within 24 hours. We look forward to working with them in the future on planned projects.

This company is amazing! Call them first! I called with an emergency and Anthony was out in 10 minutes! He was pleasant, sympathetic to the situation, communicative and got the issue well underway to getting resolved. I have, unfortunately, been dealing with several plumbers, water mitigation companies, and contractors and McCarthy's is by far the best. The overall customer service and end result of their work far surpasses any other.

The communication and professionalism from the McCarthy team has been absolutely top notch.
We had a sudden water leak that was able to be attended to the very next morning, and has been a seamless process of detecting, mitigating and starting the repair process.

It's not often one sees the owner of a company come immediately to mitigate a dire situation in person instead of delegating the work. I was impressed with the quick action taken to set everything in motion for containing, repairing and reconstructing my home from the water damage that occurred due to brittle and leaking plumbing.

I highly recommend this Mccarthy General Contracting and team. I was able to get ahold of someone right away who had one of the team members out the next day. Anthony came out and was incredibly knowledgeable. His recommendations worked to restore tge hardwood floors that were wet from a small leak. Anthony went ABOVE and beyond in everyway. I had a horrible, sudden flood at my house which started on the second floor and went down to the first floor. The smoke alarms were all going off as well since the water tripped them, making it a very loud, chaotic emergency situation. I asked one of my neighbors if she could recommend anyone to call and she immediately said, "McCarthy!"

During the very first phone call, Rick set me at ease even before he got to the house. He arrived quickly, made sure that I was emotionally doing okay, turned the smoke alarms off, and began tending to the giant flood mess.

From start to finish, working with Rick and the whole McCarthy Team was a blessing. They made a frustrating situation as good as it could possibly be due to their excellent work ethic and help/knowledge about insurance issues, etc.

Lacking professionalism. Lacking communication. Worst experience. Left my house in very poor conditions and then pretty much told us they won’t be doing the repairs. Told us 1-2 months and then after they left us with nothing told us 3-4 months. It’s been cold winter months and they took out all flooring, insulation and the 3 ft of wall and that insulation when asking them to put something temporary to try and keep the rodents and help some warmth stay in my home they said insurance needs to cover it then they’ll do it. My insurance was more than willing they kept saying they’re putting an estimate together for over a MONTH that’s ridiculous. Giving us timelines and then not meeting them. We had to reach out to them to get any type of information. Absolutely horrible.

Last year 2023 in June we discovered our washing machine had a leak from a small puddle of water in our hallway. After finding a plumber to come out that morning my next call was to McCarthys General Contractor. Their website said they specialized in water damage. Anthony came out in the afternoon. He had a device that located water in the walls. He set up a time for the mitigation with Christian and Hunter. They demoed the hallway and the washing machine closet to dry out the area. My husband and I picked out flooring to replace the laminate hardwood. Had to be ordered so it took a while. Meanwhile Alredo and his partner replaced all the insulation and drywall. I had paint left over from painting downstairs so that made it easy to color match. They did a great job!! Brian put in our new LVP flooring...it looks amazing!!
He replaced all the moving as well throughout the downstairs and painted it as well. The washing closet also had a new floor put in too with vinyl laminate. The last thing we had to do was to replace the carpet upstairs. From the drying process the back of the carpet delaminated and ripped. We had our stairs, hallway, media room and master bedroom replaced. It took two days because the carpet came from a warehouse and by this time it was Feb. The instal went great!!! Josh was the project manager overseeing all of the work. Jen and Karla were easy to get a hold of during this 8 mos. project. Told me timelines the whole way through.
We absolutely love our finished project!! It's back together with new flooring and carpet!!! The attention to detail was spot on.

We needed help to create an accessible bedroom for our 20 year old son who has cerebral palsy and uses a power wheelchair. Everyone we interacted with in-person, on the phone or e:mail/text were very attentive to our project and responded quickly. Thanks Josh and Jen!

Mike and Brian were friendly, polite, and hard working for the 2 weeks they were at our home. They kept the work site so tidy and were very respectful of us still needing to live around the area they were working in which we really appreciated.

Our son is VERY happy with his new space that he can do "donuts" in now and the new entry that was created is a true game changer!

Bad communication took a $3000 repair to over $35000 without me knowing it -- all out of pocket.

The CEO, Rick, came out on day one of the loss and explained the process. Well, six months, $10k in mitigation, a denied claim, and commissioner complaint later I am still stuck with an additional $25k in repairs to go.

Jenn is amazing and I appreciate her flexibility in payments. The problem was the lack of returning of phone calls from Rick to me (the homeowner) when things started going sideways due to 2-months of back and forth with State Farm that resulted in a denied claim. The mitigation crew removed more than was explained to me and left me with a massive out of pocket expense for a complete bathroom restoration. They should have received a confirmed insurance approval on the claim before removing so much material -- so I had the option of a more minor repair out of pocket (like Rick explained when he came out).

After getting a second and third opinion (post-mitigation work) is that I was getting overcharged on my quote from McCarthy for the reconstruction. Items were listed as getting replaced that were not removed (ex: five light fixtures left behind ~$300 each). Both other contractors said the root case was a bad seal in my toilet -- normal wear and tear. It should have been a simple fix and not sent to insurance. It should not have been a complete bathroom restoration as new.

Just sad I as the homeowner took such a large financial hit (during a layoff) and the CEO / owner who came out on day 1 did not even consider picking up the phone and calling an old classmate / customer over the past 6-months.

McCarthy General Contractors is amazing! I had a leak in my kitchen from my dishwasher that caused my hardwood floors to buckle, which is how I discovered there was a huge problem. My insurance sent a water mitigation company that was TERRIBLE. This other company, which I won't name, did investigate the water and learned that not only was there a leak in the kitchen but there were TWO leaks in the adjoining powder room that had pretty major mold infestation. While they did do a good job of getting rid of the mold, they refused to pull up my hardwood floors or cabinets telling me the floor could be sanded down and cabinets can stay even though their water meter was measuring red levels after 2 weeks of "Dry in Place". Because of the mold they cut out the wall in my bathroom and took a chunk of the back of my kitchen cabinet out and told me the contractor I hire can just put a piece of plywood up and the cabinet is good as new. I could see water damage on my floors and my cabinets were contractor grade pressboard cabinets. I was beyond frustrated. My insurance told me I had to find my own contractor and that is how McCarthy came into the picture. I called and spoke to Jen about the reconstruction but started telling her about all the issues I was having with the water mitigation and found out they did that too. I was crying and she said she didn't like what she was hearing and wanted to send one of her guys out right away. She made me feel so much better and validated that what that other company was doing was not enough. Anthony came to my house a few hours later. He took one look at what was going on and while he wouldn't tell me to fire them (he was very professional about it) he helped guide me to that decision (that I honestly had already made!) He even called the insurance company with me. McCarthy had someone out on Monday (Anthony was at my house on Friday) and immediately Demo'd my lower kitchen cabinets and the kitchen floors. The water damage under the floors was pretty significant. They put plastic up and put dehumidifiers and air scrubbers in the kitchen, bathroom, and crawl space and Hunter checked the water levels every day. Hunter also came in and did 360-degree photos of all the rooms downstairs (like what you see in real estate listings) and used a cool tool that made a digital floor plan of my downstairs which I thought was really cool. He would not sign off on taking out the heaters and dehumidifiers until everything was dry to spec. I hated having those items running 24 /7 in the summer but I was really put at ease with McCarthy's high standard and refusal to cut any corners when it came to water mitigation. Once it was dried to their high standards they came in and built me a temporary sink with 2 cupboards and 2 drawers and a plywood counter so I could function in my house until reconstruction started. This was so nice as I didn't have to go stay in a hotel!! I cannot say enough about how much everyone at McCarthy went above and beyond to not only put my mind at ease but how well they did the work. Jen and Karla in the front office are so kind and super responsive. I have never had to deal with anything like this and having to do it on my own was pretty overwhelming, but they walked me through every step and were always there when I called or emailed. They will also be doing my reconstruction in the next few months, and I am certain another 5-star review will be in order!

We just wanted let McCarthy General Contractor know how pleased we are with the work your employees did for us. The craftsmanship and consideration for our home during reconstruction was excellent. We really appreciate the way they did their job and left things spotless. The mitigation was handled by Anthony's crew Christian, Hunter & "K". The reconstruction was done by Josh's crew, Israel & Carlos. Jen was excellent handling the insurance coordination. Thank you to all for getting our home back in order.

Failure of our home's heat pump resulted in water damage and growth of mold on walls and carpet. Within 24 hours after my call to the McCarthy General Contractor office, team members responded to estimate the damage, outline what needed to be done, and begin the mitigation and reconstruction project. All members of the McCarthy Team were professional in their work: here's a call out to Anthony for his excellent information and guidance, and to Israel and Carlos who performed the project with attention to detail and skillful workmanship. Afterwards the affected area was better than new, and their clean-up was meticulous. They were responsive to our need to install a replacement heat pump system as soon as possible during the summer heat, and coordinated with our HVAC contractor's installation date. I highly recommend the McCarthy General Contractor business, and would use them again.

Mcarthy construction is fantastic quality worksmanship. Meticulous clean up. And I did not have to talk to the insurance company. I would definately highly recommend them.

I had just bought a new home and 2 months later had my new refrigerator installed. The person that did the installation broke the water pipe and flooded my entire kitchen. The water ruined all my flooring, cabinets, and some of the room below my kitchen. The team at McCarthy came in the same day and cleaned up all the water. Unfortunately, I ended up hiring a lawyer because my insurance (like most insurances) didn't want to pay the full cost of the repairs, even though it was someone else's fault and they could bill the other company's insurance as a subrogation claim. Rick and his team were extremely patient with my situation and would often check in with me on how things were progressing. Two years later, I my lawyer finally came to an agreement with my insurance and the work is now complete. My kitchen looks better than it did before this accident. I would absolutely recommend this company for any repair/remodel needs. I now have new cabinets, countertops, and flooring and my kitchen is the envy of everyone I have shown pictures to. I couldn't figure out how to include a picture with this post to show the work they did, but if I figure it out later, I will absolutely add it. Thanks to Rick, Josh, and everyone at McCarthy for helping me get my home back in order. I can now sit and enjoy the home that I bought!

I called other contractors to help me, they said the task was extremely tough and others said they had no way they could do the task that I needed and to try another company. I called the McCarthy team and they came right out, diagnosed the problem, came up with an easy plan, gave me a fair price and the did the work. They were kind, fast and professional, the work area was left cleaner than when they started. Very happy with my service.

I called McCarthy with concerns of a kitchen flood on a Thursday night at 4:50pm. Jen happily answered the phone despite office hours being nearly over. She listened to my whole issue, assured me McCarthy would be there to help. Anthony came out the next day and immediately got to work checking out the scope of my project, with a smile on his face. He was kind about my dogs being somewhat in his way, did a much more thorough inspection than the previous company did and in my opinion went above and beyond to make the experience positive after the mess I'd been given with the company that first looked at my house. He explained how the whole process of water restoration and insurance mitigation goes with great detail and was patient with every question I had. I could not be more pleased with McCarthy (specifically Jen and Anthony) and am so grateful I reached out to them for help with my house/water problem. We had a catastrophic flood in our basement. We had over 3 feet of water and sewage. This company was at our house within 2 hours after we called them. They did a fantastic job with the flood damage and mold removal.

When I called this company for sewage cleanup, they arrived within minutes and got to work immediately. All of them are properly geared and have the proper equipment for sewage cleanup. Thank you so much for all your help.

We had two outdoor faucets that needed replacing badly and one had a growing leak problem. Rick McCarthy responded very promptly after I called and came out that night to take a look. He diagnosed the problem quickly and scheduled a time with us to come back and install new faucets and do some repair. He just completed this work yesterday and we could not be more pleased. Rick's service is better than any we have ever received on a project. He went above and beyond in every aspect. The repair has taken care of our leak, his new installations work fantastic and he went to the trouble of also doing some work to repair some damaged wood work around where the leak was as well as some other miscellaneous repairs. Rick really helped us so much with our recent home sale. During the inspection, mold was found behind a water heater and even though the water heater had been replaced the wall behind needed to be fixed. We were on a short timeline and Rick fit us in and took care of everything. Rick went above and beyond for my family and was so professional. We desperately needed a plumber yesterday to fix a frozen outdoor spigot that was spewing water. A good plumber we were familiar with had truck troubles, but said he will come by this morning. My husband kept contacting many in the area to see if anyone was available yesterday and left messages for some including Rick McCarthy. He stopped by around 6 pm and offered to help. It was so dark and the temperature was frigid. We had turned off the water. By then our plumber had called back and confirmed that he will come early this morning. So we thanked Rick for stopping by so late in the day. He was so professional, courteous and pleasant. We could tell he was a skilled plumber the way he explained how he would resolve our problem. We offered to pay for his time and troubles, but he refused! Hard to meet people so service oriented! So although we didn't use his services this time, we will be keeping his contact information handy. Our best wishes to him. The five stars are for his great attitude and caring enough to stop by after a long day of work.

Anthony from McCarthys came out to our house right after our fridge leaked and ruined our entire downstairs. He was so helpful in walking us through the process on how to navigate our insurance and the repairs/remodel.

Back in October, I noticed water leaking from my ceiling and quickly called around to different places (personally not a fan of "rain" coming down on me in my own home). The McCarthy team responded right away and had someone out to assess the situation in an expedient manner. I appreciate the time that Anthony took to walk me through what he saw and was happy to answer any questions I had (I had a few companies out to look at the damage but McCarthy by far had the best customer service). Still working on the reconstruction side of things but overall the water mitigation side of things went smoothly.

Rick McCarthy personally came out assessed and fixed a leak in my clients wall at 8:00PM. He was professional, he worked fast and was very precise. McCarthy will forever be my go to for any water or fire damage. I really appreciated everything about the process.

Had a leak in the upstairs bathroom. Josh was at my house within 30 minutes of the initial call (on a Saturday) and began drying the area as best he could. Contaminated areas were demoed within a week and reconstruction began shortly thereafter. I had an emergency one Night. I Was calling all over trying to get somebody to help Me. I ended up calling McCarthy's and Karla answered the phone she was awesome. She called Rick the owner with my issue and then called me back and walked me through what I could do as it was late at night. Then Rick came out the next Morning and checked on us.
He found our issue and helped us with everything we Needed. Rick went above and beyond with the drying process. He always made sure he Communicated clearly we where never confused. He worked very efficiently to get the job done.

Just days before Christmas we woke up with about 3 inches of water filling our downstairs family room. I called a few places with no answer as it was very early in the morning. McCarthy Fire and Storm called back immediately (funny i still have not heard back from any of the others) they came out immediately and got to work. All through the Christmas holiday they worked relentlessly to carefully pack up EVERYTHING and dry everything out. They were courteous, always on time and kept me updated on what they were doing and what the next steps were. They were so careful and respectful of my home and kept everything clean and covered as to not spread dust or dirt. They are a real pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them.

A flood in the middle of a home sale is about as stressful a situation as I've dealt with, and RIck and his team were able to come in, clean everything up, and work with me to get it all corrected. We recently experienced some unexpected water damage and called McCarthy’s. Within just a few hours, Anthony was at our door to look at the damage and work on an estimate. Shortly afterwards, Rick and his team were out getting the demo done and the drying process going. They even helped out with working with the insurance company to ease the stress on us, and help the process go as smoothly as possible. Every employee we’ve had contact with has gone above and beyond when answering our questions and explaining the next steps. It’s been a pleasure to work with them each step of the way.

company had great reviews. Someone came out quickly and seemed professional. Unfortunately the work was extremely poor and the mistakes were amazing. I have trim from 3/8 inch thick to 7/8 inch thick and several in between butted up to each other. the shower valve was mounted so crooked they had to do multiple rounds of caulking to try and hide the gap. they had to tear back up the flooring because they left a large chunk under the planks at a seam. The vent that goes through the roof was pulled below the boot. I don't know how much rain was able to get in. when I told them about the vent they said they didn't do it and said they would call me back about it. I ended up fixing it because they didn't get back to me. I found a picture that showed the vent above the boot before they started work. They caulked some of the trim white, some clear and some not at all. They took a shelf out of the bathroom closet to put in the floor then never put it back. we had to get them to come build a new one. they took our new dual shower head and threw it away and gave us a single fixed head back, which we had to ask them to give us back our old one or a new one. There was more but i'm tired of typing. not recommended

I couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism the McCarthy Team has shown through the entire cleanup process. Exceptional communication, and a HUGE shout-out to Dane for going above and beyond his normal job duties. My fiance' wasn't feeling well, and he worked extra quiet as to not disturb her. She had no idea anybody was even in the house. He took extra care in moving and protecting our personal affects and the cleanliness was incredible. We love these guys! We had a pipe burst just as we were selling our home and had an offer in on another. He was here to work on Friday night,after hours and gave us an immediate quote.The following Monday they began water mitigation, for both our bathrooms and were able to save most of our original materials. I was already in a down mood when I discovered I had no hot water on Thanksgiving Day only to find out by the water heater tech that I had some serious water damage in the utility room and underneath my hardwood floors and would not be able to install a new tank until this damaged was repaired.. Dealing with the insurance company was a challenge but I have to thank them for referring McCarthy's Construction to me as I have never had to deal with this problem and had no other referrals. They were the only hopeful side of a situation that might have otherwise seemed disastrous.
On the first call to McCarthy's, Rick, the owner, answered the phone and briefly discussed my situation. It was the next day he brought out his crew and I had the pleasure of meeting Anthony who was cool, calm and collected with his thoughts and explanation of what had happened and what they needed to do. He went beyond pacifying my need to communicate. He called everyday to keep me apprised of his assessments and even went as far to say he was hopeful I could be in for Christmas. And I was. Earlier that expected even. They work really fast, they are available to communicate and follow up, and best yet, they did a GREAT job at a really reasonable cost.
I am grateful I have this connection for my future remodeling projects and hopefully not water damage, although they are there for me should things in life like this happen. So happy with their great business ethics and fairness.

Right before Thanksgiving this last year we discovered a leak in the master bath drain that caused the kitchen ceiling to bulge. Our insurance company had worked with McCarthy before, so we felt it was a safe bet to call. I'm glad we did. They were responsive, explained the problem and options for repair and restoration and were on site every day to make sure the drying process was going as planned. We were so pleased with their professionalism and attention to detail that we had them do extra work on the bathroom. Not only did they work within our budget, but the results are outstanding.
